Biography

Nikolaus spent most of his adult life as a construction worker, a surprise to many who knew that his family were actually rather wealthy; he had studied at one of the most prestigious academies on Kelada and finished second in his class, but such a plush upbringing had left him snobbish and arrogant – qualities his family did not think highly of. He was cast out and left to his own devices. He vowed to one day make something of himself, by himself. It was this ambition that led him to campaign for the Galactic Senate once he had found enough financial backing.

Personality

A life in the lower middle class transformed Nikolaus. He was no longer snobbish and arrogant, at least outwardly, but gruff and calculating. He still liked to think himself the smartest in the room, but he wouldn’t ever say that – he would strive to prove it.

Pretty cool character, nice clean profile, but just wanted to share some lore info in case you weren't aware as it might impact your character. Devaron has a predominantly Devaronian population (wiki says 95%), and has a matriarchal government, so you might want to explain why a human male is the Senator. Ideally it would be a Devaronion female. If you're not very set on Devaron as their planet of representation, might be worth considering changing the planet to a more human one, just for avoiding any headaches that might cause.

Huh, I never knew that! Thank you! It was more a case of picking a planet that noone else had yet, so I'll just go ahead and change that part haha. That's an interesting fact to keep in mind for the future though :)

Kelada is a good option, its right next to Devaron, has a human population, and even has a major construction element to it so would tie in well with your character's background!
