Nightstorm Armor Mk. 1

The Nightstorm armor is a suit constructed primarily of Armorplast that was smelted down and re-forged. It was primarily scavenged from the bodies of droids that died to organics in E-3PO's crusade. He polishes the armor often as a reminder of their sacrifice, and often explains the sentiment behind his armor.

The overall design was inspired by the various bounty hunters his former master would employ. His goal is to mock the dead hutt with every organic kill he racks up.


LEGALITY

Restricted. One the vast majority of worlds, wearing full body military gear requires serious permits. On top of that, the arsenal of weaponry the suit includes makes it near illegal on any core world. It would even get looks in the outer rim.

INTENT

Create a personal armor for which my character E-3P0 "Nightstorm" is named.

Type and Coverage

Type: Heavy Armor

Coverage: 7 Areas
  • Head: Helmet made from Armorplast and Transparasteel visor.
  • Torso: A heavy Armorplast shell covers the chest, stomach, and collar area.
  • Back: A heavy Armorplast shell covers the upper and lower back, as well as the rear of the neck.
  • Upper Arms: A set of heavy Armorplast plates cover each shoulder and tricep.
  • Lower Arms: A set of heavy Armorplast plates cover the elbows and forearms.
  • Upper Legs: A set of heavy Armorplast plates cover the upper thigh and crotch area.
  • Lower Legs: A set of heavy Armorplast plates cover the shin, knee, and foot areas.


Functions



Function 1: Droid Blaster Arm
  • This mod comes as a small box that attaches to the back of a chest piece and has a folding droid arm on the left or right side. The arm has a 24 hour battery and an extremely primitive combat droid brain that can pivot and fire in any direction, but has only basic accuracy. The arm can operate independent of the user, but has to be manually activated and deactivated.
Function 2: Wrist Rocket (Right)
  • This mod comes as a small box that attaches to the back of a chest piece and has a folding droid arm on the left or right side. The arm can operate independent of the user, but has to be manually activated and deactivated.
Function 3: Wrist Flamethrower (Left)
  • Wrist flamers are rare, expensive, and dangerous armor attachments favored by mercenaries and soldiers more than bounty hunters, and are illegal in many systems. Wrist flamers are powered by small fuel capsules, and typically hold enough for 3 short bursts of flame. These bursts last 2 seconds, are one meter wide and have a maximum range of 3 meters. The weapon must be manually activated via button or switch, and must be disassembled to be reloaded.
Function 4: Vision Modes (Helmet)
  • This Allows a Helmet HUD to cycle to low-light and thermal vision modes.
Function 5: Jetboots
  • Miniaturized jetpack technology, jetboots (also called "rocket boots") are essentially boots to which small jetpack thrusters have been attached. The wearer must activate/deactivate the thrusters modes via wrist-mounted controls. Like an average jetpack, jetboots permit a maximum speed of 35kph and can maintain this speed for two minutes of continuous flight (flight mode). In combat (mode), they can be used in short bursts to propel the wearer up to seven (7) meters. Jet boots are much smaller, lighter, and less vulnerable to attack and damage than jetpacks, but are also very difficult to utilize effectively, and wearers can be easily thrown off course.
