Finding her own seat, Rair ensured there was some distance between her and her traveling companions. While she had a decent idea who Malric was, his companion was a different story. Calmer and more collected of the two, he had given less away, though she suspected if they were together then no doubt...

Plus there was the third that had left them at some point.

The Jedi pondered what she knew at this point, her tongue clicking against the roof of her mouth as they took the short trip in relative silence. Unlikely as it was, perhaps the station held all the answers. If not then maybe it just wouldn't provide more questions.

Wouldn't that be nice?

As Adora spoke of Kashyyyk, Davin fantasized what it was like. How he longed to have been there for the destruction of the Wookie's home. The jungles engulfed in flames as the Sith cut through their numbers. It brought Davin some joy imagining the carnage. "It's no consolation, Adora, but the Sith are gone. Sure, there are some lurking in the shadows, but the new Empire is the threat now. Who is to say they don't commit worse atrocities? Who is to say the Jedi wouldn't do the same. They have been manipulated from within before. There will always be a more ferocious evil to replace the last." Davin hardly believed most of the things he was saying, but it didn't matter.

Love was another emotion that Davin did not understand. It was the perfect tool for him to dig into though. "Lord Montague, it's apparent how ardent you feel for my Lord's daughter. Does she have the same feelings for you? Perhaps that would be a pass to peace between our great Houses as well. If not, love is a valid reason to fight." Ignoring the space station, Davin wanted nothing more than to steer the conversation to the heir's feelings. Those have always been the easiest to manipulate into making a rash decision. Nevertheless, Lady Capulet was an asset and the perfect pawn to start a war.

As Davin spoke to Adora, he received Trael's message. The realization of Lord Montague's love was a key piece that needed to be relayed. It wasn't an ideal time to step away from the table, but Davin used his weakness as an excuse. He picked up the handkerchief from the table and coughed into it as he stepped away. In between coughs, he whispered into his communicator. "The Montague heir is in love with the Capulet heiress. We can exploit that."

Cremek felt some sort of twisted delight, he was playing the part of the fool, and he was doing it well, a good job was something to be proud of, always, a smirk formed under his helmet.

it was a short and sweet ride, cremek mostly silent, save the occasional devious snicker, they landed, the door opening to the space stations dock with a hiss. Cremek was giddy, stepping off into the docking chamber with a pep in his step.

"well, shall we?"

"Friar Lawrence?" she replied to the heir. She meant it as a statement but it came out more as a question. She pulled her datapad up and scanned the mission report, finding the brief description of the friar. "I'm not sure of his intentions, but another Jedi should be speaking with him now."

Adora rolled her eyes. She was very good at doing that. Practiced, some might say. "You're right, ambassador." The words were like acid on her tongue. A phrase that seldom left her mouth. She didn't bother to specify which part of his speech she was responding to. It was revolting enough just saying it. Sometimes you had to bite the bullet, especially if it got a wamp rat to quit its chattering.

When the feeble-lunged monstrosity that called itself an ambassador stepped away, Adora spoke into her own commlink, not bothering to isolate herself. She had no reason to deceive the heir as her intentions were pure, unlike some opportunists here.

<Are you both alright? Hey, Master Rair, would you be able to get a private meeting with the Capulet heiress? I might have found a way to resolve this.>

Adora knew a union between Houses was an ideal way to solve the conflict. Both Houses could benefit and prosper by working in tandem. She just hoped the covetous Capulets weren't completely blinded by avarice.

After not really moving the whole trip as the ship begins to touch down he quickly sits up almost as if he'd remembered something. His hand coming to rest on his chin. Thinking on what Davin had relayed to him he begins mulling over a plan. He steps out right after cremek and is approached by an officer from aboard the station. "State your business for arrival." Trael motions towards the shuttle and cremek. "These two are here under the order of King Theseus to have a tour of the station. The lady aboard is a Jedi here at the request of the Montagues and is going to ensure that the station isn't a weapon as her clients believe. I on the other hand have to report to the palace that they have arrived and been left in good hands. Once I finish I will join you on the tour presently." With that he turns to cremek "Please don't do anything rash until I get done with my call." He then walks to the shuttle reaching out his hand as assistance and addressing the jedi "My lady may I assist you out of the shuttle? This officer and my associate will be with you on the tour, after I report to the king I will be joining you in due time."

As soon as they touched down, Rair stood up and straightened her clothes. The trip had given her a chance to center herself and come up with a few avenues of investigation. As the others disembarked, it gave her a chance to reply to Adora fully.

"I'm currently on the space station," the knight said into her comm. "Just landed, so I can't see to that personally. I think most of the threats I spotted in the Capulet's estate are here with me, minus one missing member. If you approach and try to speak to the King yourself, he might be amenable to letting you speak with his daughter. Just be honest and open, and give him the respect due. I don't think he's a bad person, just frustrated. I'll need to go back to being quite now."

Slipping the comm back into her sleeves, she moved to the exit and graciously allowed the much taller man to help him disembark. "Thank you," the young woman said pleasantly enough. "I'll make sure to keep your... associate from causing too much trouble." Offering him a small nod, she moved to join the officer.

"Would it be possible to get the original schematics for the station?" the Jedi asked the Capulet representative. "As well as any modified versions? I would like my droid to take a look at them while you show me what's been completed so far. When both show no differences, it will be easy to make King Theseus' case to Lord Montague that it's not a weapon."

A faint smile tugged at the corners of Marcellus's mouth, the fleeting image of the Capulet heiress — an ephemeral vision in emerald silk at the failed peace summit — igniting a beacon of hope in his heart. His eyes, melancholic pools of cobalt, flickered towards the high vaulted ceiling of the ancient hall, the heraldic tapestries narrating stories of valor and love intertwined in the warp and weft of his family's rich history.

"Love..." Marcellus mused, his voice as soft as a summer zephyr, "is a potent force, indeed." His gaze returned to his guests, a hint of amusement dancing in their depths. "It has the power to raise armies, and yet," his gaze turned introspective, "also to cease wars."

The ambassador's words reverberated in his heart, prickling his conscience with their unspoken implications. Could love, that divine lodestar, be turned into a tool for exploitation? He could feel the gears of his analytical mind turning, his thoughts spiraling towards an unsettling hypothesis.

He was yanked out of his contemplations by Adora's candid remark, a ripple of laughter resonating within him. Even in these troubled times, her unabashed candor was a balm to his weary heart. "Friar Lawrence is a wise man," Marcellus said, more to himself than his guests. "His intentions, I'm sure, are noble."

As the soft hues of the evening began to bleed into the expansive sky outside, Marcellus rose from his seat, the dull ache of uncertainty pulsing within him. "I'm afraid our time has come to an end," he declared, his voice resolute yet tinged with an undercurrent of regret. "Let it be known that Montague House appreciates your efforts."

Escorting his guests to the entrance, the tall doors groaned open, revealing the sanguine tendrils of twilight painting the horizon. As they disappeared into the approaching night, Marcellus was left alone in the cavernous hall, his heart throbbing with a melange of hope and apprehension. Would his dreams of peace be realized, or would they crumble like ancient ruins under the heavy boots of unrelenting ambition? The answer, he feared, was shrouded in the unpredictable folds of the future.

King Theseus, ensconced in his gilded throne, cast a cold gaze upon the interloper. His voice, serrated with a simmering ire, sliced through the air like a vibroblade. "Another sellsword..." he scoffed, dismissive wave of his bejewelled hand breaking the court's solemn silence.

His eyes, stormy and potent, flicked over the Mandalorian's armored form, his visage betraying nothing but disinterest. "If it's the station you wish to inspect," he drawled, annoyance strafing his words, "Join the others there. I have enough headaches without adding another self-styled 'professional' to my list."

Suddenly standing, the opulence of his royal garb shimmering beneath the grand chandeliers, he addressed his guards. "I am to be disturbed for emergencies alone. Make it known." His voice was thick with command, the regal demand echoing in the stone cold hall, the words clinging to the towering stained glass windows and opulent tapestries.

With a snort of derision, he swept from the hall, the echo of his heavy footsteps a harsh punctuation to his imperial dismissal. His royal scent, a blend of rare tibanna spice and power, lingered heavily in the air. His mind buzzed with thoughts of potential rebellion, food shortages, and the constant gnawing threat of House Montague. His fingers twitched involuntarily, itching for a blaster's trigger or a ship's helm, eager to take action rather than parlay with mercenary ilk.

Silently, he vowed to crush any opposition to his ascension. The station would be completed. House Montague would fall. And he would rule, unopposed. No matter the cost.

In her wanderings, Caeli would begin to understand the intricacy of Prospera City. Amidst the melody of the metropolis, under the canopy of incessant movement, she would discern the undertones of unease, the discordant notes of fear and hope played in parallel. Her interactions with the citizens would afford her invaluable insights. The burly vendor, a weary expression hidden beneath his amiable facade, would speak of the escalating food prices and how he feared the brewing war would make it unbearable. The children, their innocent laughter a bittersweet symphony, would share stories of their families being divided due to the political unrest. The mechanic, his hands stained with oil, would express concerns about potential curfews affecting his livelihood.

However, she also would also a shared yearning for peace among these disparate voices. Amidst their hardships, there was a burgeoning hope - a resolute determination to restore unity and harmony. The citizens, irrespective of their allegiances, longed for an end to the impending conflict.

This was the city's heartbeat, its universal rhythm, undulating beneath the surface — a common desire for peace. It would be here that Caeli discover her clue. The path to peace did not lie merely in the negotiation chambers of high lords, but in the hearts and hopes of Prospera City's inhabitants. To resolve the conflict, they would have to engage the citizenry, involve them in the process, and reassure them that their voices mattered. The restoration of trust among the people could be the catalyst to bridge the chasm between the warring Houses.

A figure in a mottled gray jumpsuit had bounded over from the depths of the docking bay, brandishing a hard hat in the air. His face was lined with the inevitable maps of age, yet it brimmed with childlike enthusiasm. "Jedaii Rair! It's an honor to meet you! I'm Vesper Cogwright, senior structural engineer. I'd dreamed of a day like this, showing off our station to a Jedaii. A dream, I tell you!" He had said, his voice bright and jubilant.

Vesper had donned his hard hat and gestured for the group to follow. "Come along, the marvel of engineering that is our space station awaits."

Vesper led them through the sprawling maze of the station, weaving past half-finished corridors and cavernous hangars where ships of all sizes lay dormant. "Work's been halted since the blockade," he stated with a frown. The normally vibrant activity had stilled, replaced with a tense quiet.

As they traversed the main artery of the space station, he pointed out the intricate network of bridges and catwalks that spiderwebbed across the colossal chamber. "Look at the aesthetics coupled with functionality. It's a symphony of design!" His voice echoed with admiration and pride.

They meandered through the labyrinthine station, the ceaseless hum of dormant machinery resonating around them. Vesper unveiled the central control hub, a technological marvel filled with an array of displays and control consoles designed to manage the station's systems.

He ushered them into the heart of the station, the reactor room. A gargantuan fusion reactor stood in the center, quiet yet pulsating with dormant energy. "Our fusion core is one of a kind, making this station self-sufficient. The energy generated can support the entire city of Verona below," he boasted, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

The tour concluded without any evidence of weaponry, reinforcing the station's pacific nature. Yet, when asked about the blueprints, Vesper shook his head vehemently, his jovial demeanor replaced with stern sincerity. "I'm afraid I can't help you there, Jedaii Rair. The blueprints are classified, access restricted only to key personnel."

As they returned to the docking bay, Vesper sighed, a hint of melancholy tingeing his voice. "Imagine the wonders this station could achieve for Verona, if not for the unfortunate dispute. I can only hope that we'll resume construction soon." The blockade had not only halted the construction, it had also delayed his dream, and the peace the station promised to bring.

JEDI STATUS REPORT

Rair and a couple of Sith operatives landed on a space station for further investigation about its purpose. During their journey, Rair had a tense conversation with one of the Sith operatives, Cremek Candorus, where they exchanged thinly veiled threats and suggestions. Adora, the other Jedi, was engaged in discussions with the Montagues about a possible alliance via marriage with the Capulets.

Objectives:
  • Bring the feuding factions of both Houses back to the negotiation table [started]
  • Expose the Sith self-interested involvement in the conflict [started]
SITH OBJECTIVES

The Sith are weaving their own machinations, attempting to exploit the existing tensions for their gain. Cremek Candorus accompanied Rair on the shuttle to the space station, where he played the part of a fool to hide his true intentions. Meanwhile, Ikaran attempted to probe Ja'Rek, the Mandalorian, for information about his plan to help the planet. Davin Tillisk had a conversation with Adora, during which he tried to steer her toward discussing the Montague heir's feelings. Trael Osso was on the shuttle with Rair and Cremek and joined them on their tour of the space station.

Objectives:
  • Ensure the successful construction of House Capulet's space station [started]
  • Covertly infiltrate House Capulet/Montague to cause discord and nurture resentment [started]
THIRD PARTIES

Ja'Rek, a Mandalorian bounty hunter, offered his services to King Capulet to provide security for the controversial space station. His true intention, however, was to infiltrate the Capulets' ranks to help the suffering people. Ja'Rek believes that the planet's current administration needs to be removed and that the people need to be helped without the interference of outside forces like the Jedi and Sith.

Objectives:
  • Spark a grassroots revolution promoting the wisdom offered by Friar Lawrence [started]
  • Expose the hidden manipulations of both the Sith and Jedi [started]

Rair felt her body relax a bit as Vesper Cogwright spoke to her. It was nice to receive a warm welcome, even if she hardly expected it. Often as not, even the people that asked for their help treated the Jedi with suspicion. It didn't help that this particular time she had gone off-script enough that she was met with openly hostile forces immediately.

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Vesper Cogwright," the girl said with a smile. More than pleased with his excitement, she followed along eagerly. As far as she could tell, his words and the King's were true enough. Not a piece of the station she had been shown possessed any form of weapon to be concerned about. It wasn't perfect, but it was at least a start.

Especially since, as she suspected, access to the blueprints were off-limits.

"It is beautiful," she admitted openly. "Your people have done good work. I suspect by the time this is done we will need to find a way to see those schematics, but I'm not going to push you. Maybe during the peace talks we can find a way to have them examined that suits everyone."

with a click of her tongue and a small grin, she straightened up fully, an idea already forming.

"Thank you, truly."

As Ja'Rek was led off to the shuttle for passage to the station, he considered the words from the king. "Another sellsword," he had said. "A self-styled professional." And "others." The arrogance of the king was palpable, but Ja'Rek was intrigued. Other possible bounty hunters were visiting the king? Would they be open to helping the Friar? Who else was getting involved in this? He had already seen one Jedi, were there more? And what other parties were getting involved?

As Ja'Rek boarded the transfer shuttle to the station, he continued to think about the short meeting with the king. Despite the king's dismissive attitude, he had allowed Ja'Rek access to the station. Ja'Rek found that a little confusing, but things were certainly easier, having been given permission.

The shuttle ride was short, and soon Ja'Rek stepped off and looked around the undeniably impressive structure. He saw a group walking towards him. Could this be the others the king had mentioned? It looked like quite an assortment of people. A man in a grey jumpsuit and hard hat, possibly some sort of contractor. A woman in something similar, looking to Ja'Rek like the Jedi he had met at the monastery. Another Jedi? And the Mandalorian wearing black armour he had seen in the city.

This was getting interesting. Ja'Rek stood waiting for the group to finish talking and head towards him.

Caeli had spent her day in the heart of Verona, a city she found brimming with life and culture, yet shadowed by tension. The whispers of the local populace painted a poignant picture of the conflict and had given her insight into the matter at hand. The city pulsed with a melancholic rhythm, an undercurrent of unrest that tugged at her heartstrings.

She activated her commlink, her voice carrying a calm, collected tone that belied the swirling thoughts within her. "I've completed my survey of the city. It seems a palpable tension underlines their daily life. As Adora reported, the Montague heir's feelings for the Capulet heiress might provide a resolution. I plan on seeking an audience with her, hoping she might share his sentiments."

The Padawan started her journey towards the Capulet palace, tucking her commlink away. She felt a stirring of anticipation and anxiety as she navigated the twisting streets. The towering edifice of the palace soon loomed into view, its grandeur a testament to the power and prestige of the Capulets.

She couldn't help but feel a small tug of apprehension. Meeting with the Capulet heiress would be a significant step towards potentially resolving the conflict.

Ikaran annoyed with the extreme failure of his plans, decided he didn’t need Ja’Rek. The disguised altar boy frowning, walked back into the church. Looking around he seen that no one had noticed him. He seen the friar completing paperwork in a small glass room.

Walking into the change room he gathered his stuff. In his regular attire accompanied by his trusty lightsaber. he stared deep into the mirror on the wall, he practiced his stance and his voice. He tried to be as intimidating as possible, but his skinny body made it pretty hard.

Ikaran a sneaking into a cleaning room, started to call for help specifically from the friar. Waiting for the friar, Ikaran stood the stance he had practiced. When the friar walked in he was visibly distraught. So sorry to disturb you but I believe we have a problem. You see I don’t really want peace. Ikaran closed the door and stood in front of it. It would be pleasing if you would stop trying to bring peace to this awful planet. And if i hear of anything with your name in it involving these to party’s. I’m going to have to, intervene. Ikaran stood there blocking any escape the friar might have.

As the tour ended Trael slinked off to examine the hangar space. Trael had been examining the hangar bay when the new shuttle arrived. He examined the new arrival it was a mandalorian. Wanting to see the mans intentions he simply watched to see what he does.

Friar Lawrence had lived a lifetime shrouded in clerical robes, wielding his quill, crafting plans. He looked up from his parchment-heavy desk as a call for assistance echoed through the sanctuary's stone cloister. An unexpected intrusion at this hour, but one he would address nonetheless.

Approaching the room, he perceived an uneasiness lingering in the air. Yet he maintained his composure, his face a stoic mask of benevolence, as he swung the door open. The sight greeting him was as unexpected as the uneasy sensation - a small, wiry figure, attempting a pose of menace. It would have been almost amusing, if not for the prickling sense of danger that rose within him.

"Oh, my dear child," he began, his tone feigning paternal concern, as he met Ikaran's glaring eyes. He concealed his disdain for the disruption beneath a mask of sincere surprise. "What brings about such tumult within these hallowed walls?"

Ikaran's response, a declaration of his unwelcome intentions, was as absurd as his stance. Yet, the undercurrent of sincerity in his voice gave Friar Lawrence pause. The gall of the boy, threatening to disrupt the harmony he, Lawrence, was so painstakingly trying to instill in Verona, was both irritating and provocative.

"Well now," the Friar started, leaning on his cane, his eyes never leaving Ikaran, "That is quite the proclamation. Your passion, albeit misguided, is commendable." His words were honeyed, sweet as the church wine, yet his gaze was cold, echoing the chill of the cathedral's ancient stones.

"But I have dedicated my life to the service of this planet and its people. Peace is the only resolution I seek," he continued, his voice steady, though tinged with a note of defiance. "And any threat to that peace...well, that is not something I take lightly."

He let the words hang in the air, a subtle but pointed counter to Ikaran's threats. After all, Friar Lawrence was no stranger to power games, and he would not be intimidated so easily.

Isolde Capulet had always known she was different. Born to opulence and privilege, she was the epitome of Verona's nobility. Yet, beneath the silken robes and the polished jewels, she held a tempestuous heart that yearned for change. Despite her cloistered upbringing, she possessed an innate empathy that was at odds with her status.

She had been expecting a guest this evening, a Jedi emissary. The news had been delivered by one of her handmaidens, and the anticipation had gnawed at her throughout the day. When the moment finally came, she held her breath as the doors to her chambers swung open. Before her stood a young woman, radiating an ethereal calm, her Jedi robes indicating her affiliation.

"Greetings, Jedi," she said, her voice resonating with an aristocratic tone, yet tempered with warmth. "You honor us with your presence. I am Isolde Capulet." The introduction was formal, yet carried an underlying sincerity.

Isolde regarded her guest keenly, trying to discern the motive behind her visit. The Jedi mentioned a Montague, and for a fleeting moment, a pang of surprise washed over her. She had heard rumors, whispers of a Montague heir who had expressed feelings for her. Could that be the reason for this unexpected meeting?

She carefully masked her emotions, keeping her countenance neutral. Yet within, a cacophony of thoughts thundered. She was a Capulet, and the Montagues were sworn enemies. But was this not the change she desired? An opportunity to unite the feuding houses and, perhaps, alter the course of Verona's future?

As she pondered her response, she knew that this encounter held the potential to change her life forever. But was she ready to challenge the iron chains of her heritage and embrace the uncertain path of peace? The very thought stirred a thrilling fear within her.

Cremek had kept silent so far, yet his silence had an undercurrent of twisted planning, the gears already turning in his head on what to do. As soon as he felt like he was safe to do so, he humbly approached the engineer.

"Greetings good sir, I'm working with his Majesty to insure this space station is up to standards, do you think I could get a hologram detailing the makeup with the station?"
His voice was honeyed, his tone like silver, a stark contrast to how he was before.

He displays his holo containing his "contract " with the king.

"As you can see, I am not a spy, if that eases your mind."

Slipping away from the chief engineer, Rair was happy to see the man stayed back to speak with him. This gave her the first time to get some real space, and it was just in time. Having seen the entirety of the station, she now had the chance to find her way to the hangar just as a shuttle arrived. As this second Mandalorian stepped out, she boarded, noting what he looked like.

Odds the two Mandalorians were working together was high, though not guaranteed. Either way, she didn't have time to handle that now. Easier to simply remember him in case she ran into him in the future and continue on with her own business. By now, she had amassed quite a bit of business, too.

The apparent Jedi walked away from the group and straight past Ja’Rek, so he decided to join the remaining party, he had just caught the other Mandalorian asking about a hologram of the station and wanted to make sure he was included, looking at the man in the grey jumpsuit he said “I've also been sent by the king and would be interested in seeing the details, I would also like your agreement, assuming you have the authority to grant it, that I am able to explore the station on my own, the king is concerned about possible sabotage and has requested that I perform a full sweep.”

Ja’Rek looked at the other Mandalorian, something still seemed off about him, but he was a Mandalorian after all, at least him seemed to be. “What clan are you from?

Ikaran knew that the friar would break at some point, so he continued with a calm yet assertive tone. “I’m afraid you are mistaken, Friar. There is no peace, merely an illusion that masks the underlying conflicts and struggles. True peace is a rarity, if it exists at all. Now, I strongly advise you to reconsider your actions and words. Failure to do so will undoubtedly result in dire consequences.”

As Ikaran pondered the gravity of this interaction with the friar, he realized that the outcome could potentially confirm the presence of the Sith on the planet. This realization brought about a dilemma, and he carefully considered how to play this situation to his advantage. On one hand, sabotaging the Sith’s mission could disrupt their plans and prevent further chaos. On the other hand, if he allowed things to proceed smoothly, it might provide valuable insights and make his own mission considerably easier.

Deep in thought, Ikaran weighed the risks and rewards, knowing that each decision carried its own set of repercussions. The fate of the planet and the lives of its inhabitants hung in the balance.

Ja'Rek was surprised and a little bit angry. He had just met the other Mandalorian, and the first and only thing the guy said to him was "unimportant." Ja'Rek had never met a Mandalorian who would say something like that. Mandalorians took great pride in their clans.

Ja’Rek tried to figure out what was going on. Was he just having a bad day? Or was there something more sinister going on?
He decided to keep an eye on the man in the black armour. He didn't trust him, and he wanted to know what his game was.

Ja’Rek shrugged, he turned to look back at the engineer, he needed to check this station out for himself.
