Kyi had woken up to the majestic sound of the planet's native avians chirping outside. Slowly opening his eyes, the freckle-faced Jedi saw that his arm was wrapped around Aurelie's torso as she lay asleep in front of him, letting out a sigh and a smile, he snuggled up closer to her "Mornin'" he whispered softly to her. Kyi had slept like a baby, especially considering the "activities" the two were up to last night - this was the best sleep he'd had in years, and it was all because he was able to sleep next to the blue-eyed thief who he had deep and strong feelings for.

A while back, the new couple had decided to rent out a small cottage on the outskirts of Andara's capital; Utare, where they could periodically meet up at the home and spend time together whenever the two had free time. The day prior was the first time Kyi and Aurelie had seen each other in some months - he had arrived at their cottage straight after a mission and the two spent the majority of their night catching up and talking, with them ending the night with - well, don't worry about that.

As he snuggled closer to his lover, he thought to himself with a smile how lucky he was to have her and was very much excited to be spending the rest of the day with her before he would have to return to his Jedi duties.

[Aurelie Fleury]

The bird's chirping song, the leaves calmly brushing against each other in the wind and the occasional splatter from a fish deciding to try their luck above water for a moment - what else could she possibly hope to wake up to?

"Mornin'" That. A soft smile spread across the girl's lips as she was reminded of the person she shared bed with, of the person she had spent the night with. While the white sheets were nice, Aurelie was much more fond of his warm arm resting on her waist. She turned to lie on her side and opened her blue eyes. The first thing she saw was Kyi's jawline, her eyes traveled upwards over his mouth, nose, freckled cheeks and then finally his eyes. "Good morning" she said with a newly awoken voice.

He snuggled closer, prompting the same reaction from her as she slipped her upper leg in between the two of his. Leaning up, Aurelie kissed him. A bright smile soon revealed her white teeth. It didn't take long, however, until the sun left its cover behind the clouds and shone directly down onto the bed. Her eyes closed as she buried her head into his chest. "Can we just, drop everything.." she said, speaking lazily into his chest before looking up "..and stay like this forever?"

The Jedi radiated a warmth which stood in nice contrast to the cool sheets and the fresh air let in through an open window, making it all the more enticing for her to snuggle even closer. "We could fish in the lake, gather berries from the garden and then cook it when hungry" she said dreamily. It might have been wishful thinking, but there was nothing which she would rather want than that.

Their peace and quiet would last for a while. But not nearly long enough as two sets of metallic footsteps could be heard clanking against the wooden floor, coming closer and closer to the bedroom. Diligent chirping could be heard coming from the small droid from a distance "No. Of course not. I am a combat droid." scrappy's voice could be heard faintly as he approached from afar - thankfully, the door was rather good at blocking sound. Further chirping from Exdee ensued as it protested against the larger droids plans "Yes, I could. But you're much better at it" A grumpy negatory beep could be heard "Yes, you are. You haven't stopped talking since four this morning" Scrappy's counter seemed to have worked as the little XD-droid made an innocent chirp before going quiet for a brief moment. The two droids now stood right outside the door "Okay, you know what to do" he said, to which Exdee replied with a cheerful confirmatory booop.

Having a pretty good guess of what was about to happen, Aurelie looked Kyi in the eyes "I'm out. You're on your own now." before sending her head back to be buried in his chest. Barely a moment later, Scrappy opened the door for the little explorer droid who quickly hopped onto the bed with a series of cheerful chirps, apparently tasked to wake them up.

[Kyi Wavestrider]

He felt his heart melt as the beautiful woman that laid in front of him turned to look at him in his eyes, responding with her own good morning. Kyi let out a smile as Aurelie leaned in to kiss him, which he reciprocated before returning back to their snuggling phase - he wrapped his arms around her to pull her as close as he could, the freckled Jedi didn't want an inch between them. As his blue-eyed lover buried her head into his tanned bare chest, he rested his chin on her head, gently nuzzling every few moments to stimulate comfort for the both of them.

She proposed dropping everything and just staying the way they were forever - honestly, Kyi considered it, for a brief moment he considered leaving the Jedi Order and the Galactic Alliance entirely to just settle down with Aurelie and spend his remaining days with her, but these fleeting thoughts were soon washed away when his overwhelming sense of duty to the galaxy and preserving it came to mind. All the Jedi could do was simply lament "Yeah...that'd be great." he said softly, hugging her a bit more tightly.

Aurelie began laying out some ideas of what the two could do together before they'd have to begrudgingly part ways, which included fishing and picking out berries for dinner later - they all sounded perfect to the freckled Jedi, as long as he got to spend every second of today with her, he was up for anything. For a brief moment, Kyi stared into Aurelie's face with a grateful smile, watching her bright blue eyes, soft skin and just overall amazing features - he had to keep reminding himself of how lucky he was to have someone like her be with him. Snapping back to reality, he opened his mouth to respond to the thief's plan for the day but this was interrupted when the two both heard the loud footsteps of Scrappy, followed by Exdee's animated chirping and beeping.

They heard the two bickering about something, who should be the one to wake them up probably, Kyi smiled to himself for a moment, everything really was perfect; he was in a relationship with the girl of his dreams, they had their own home together, and their droids got along nicely, what more could he have asked for? Turning to the blue-eyed woman in front of him, he let out a goofy eye roll as the two bickered. Finally Scrappy and Exdee agreed upon it, with Scrappy opening the door and Exdee excitedly chirped on the bed. "Joke's on you two, we were already awake." he said chuckling while using one of the arms wrapped around Aurelie to pat Exdee.

The "damage" had been done. Exdee and Scrappy were here now and they probably weren't going to leave until either one of them were out of bed. Begrudgingly, Kyi removed his arm's from Aurelie and reached out to stretch and yawn loudly - "Alright, alright guys, I'm getting up." he said waving a hand toward the droid in front of him and the one in the doorway. Only wearing briefs, the young Jedi Knight climbed out of bed and stretched again, tipping his toes, he then turned toward Aurelie who was still laying in bed "I'll go and make breakfast. You want tea too? Coffee?" he asked, smiling, while beginning to put on his dark blue dressing gown on and making his way toward the doorway.

[Aurelie Fleury]

"At least he sounds pleasant" she thought as the little droid kept chirping next to her. While not being enough to mute the droid completely, Kyi seemed to get it to at least reduce the frequency at which it chirped. Still, the girl stayed true to her word and remained 'out', keeping her face buried in his chest as the Jedi took care of the intruders. A barely audible whine "No!" could be heard as he revealed that he would get up. Putting her hand on the upper side of his waist, Aurelie slid it upwards, going in under his arm as her soft hand brushed against his skin. Her hand lingered on his skin for as long as it could as he rose to his feet until it finally fell when he was out of reach.

Letting out a soft sigh, she listened to Kyi's question. "I'll have tea with you. But wait, I'll join" she said. After first pulling the blanket close, gathering what warmth there was to be found, Aurelie emerged from underneath. Dressed in little more than underwear, she quickly wrapped herself in a cardigan and took small but rapid steps to Kyi. With her side brushed up against his, she looked up at him with a smile "Okay, let's go". Unlike when they were normally out, her hair now hung loose instead of in a ponytail.

Upon having arrived at the kitchen, Aurelie started cutting some fresh vegetables. While last night might have been hot enough for opened windows, today was different. "Exdee, Scrappy, I'm cold, can you close some windows?" she asked. The two droids got to work quickly, even going as far as to put some fire in the fireplace. It wouldn't take long until they had everything they needed, vegetables, some cheese, butter, herbs and tea. Sitting down by the table, she looked at him blissfully."You know, I think this is the first time I live in an actual house" she said whilst making a sandwich. "It lacks the same vibrancy of a ship, you know? The hum of the engines, the beeping of the navmap and that faulty cable dad never managed to fix" The girl looked down giggling lightly to herself as she thought of how cheesy what she was about to say was going to sound. Finally deciding to go through with it, she added "But it has you. And that's all I need" she said sincerely whilst struggling to withhold laughter at the same time. Even Scrappy who was just passing by stopped to look at her for half a second before moving on.

[Kyi Wavestrider]

Kyi quickly put on some black trousers before going downstairs after realising how cold it felt stepping out from his and Aurelie's room, the two were followed to the kitchen by Exdee and Scrappy. When downstairs, Aurelie opted start cutting up vegetables and gathering other things for breakfast while Kyi switched on the kettle and grabbed some tarin leaves for tarin tea from from the kitchen cupboard. Once the kettle had finished brewing, he took two cups and added the tarin leaves, milk and sugar to the hot water he had poured into them - you know, the usual things you do to make tea.

When this was done, he met with Aurelie at the table and brought her her tea while placing his own on his side of the table. Kyi took a sip of his tea and began making his own sandwich as Aurelie spoke to him about this being the first time she has actually owned and lived in a house, which didn't surprise him as she spent most of her life travelling. The next part though, brought a huge smile to his face, when the blue-eyed thief had stated that a home lacked the same energy as living on a ship but as long as a home had him, it was all she needed. Kyi gently placed his hand on hers when she had briefly put her sandwich down "It's like you read my mind." he responded with a wink. Kyi's thoughts fell back to how perfect this moment in time was as his gaze drifted to Exdee and Scrappy before fixing on the blue-eyed woman in front of him.

But nothing lasts forever. The Jedi Knight suddenly stiffened as he felt a huge pit form in his stomach, he knew that this feeling was, it was a disturbance in the Force and it was bad. Focusing on his connection to the Living Force to sense what it was that he was sensing, he began to feel the presence of two others - two... Force-sensitives? And not only that, he sensed the Dark Side too. Sith? But why would they be here? And how would they know to come here? Endless theories began to form in his head before he turned to look at Aurelie once more... she was in danger, he couldn't let anything happen to her.

"Master, I am detecting two organics approaching the vicinity." uttered Scrappy, followed by an affirming beep from Exdee, the cat was out of the bag now - he had no choice but to tell her now. "Scrappy's right. I can sense them... and the Dark Side." he said urgently, swiftly getting out of his chair to put on his boots and switch out of his gown into his Jedi cloak, which also housed his lightsaber. Kyi planned to meet them halfway, before they could get any closer to the house, to Aurelie.

[Aurelie Fleury]

She kept giggling and smiled brightly upon hearing him speak followed by a charming wink. She remembered how she had seen all these perfect couples in her youth, cheesy and oblivious to the harsher sides of life. Never would she have believed that she'd find herself in such a situation. While it was always hard to assess oneself, Aurelie knew that Kyi was indeed the kind of ideal guy she remembered from her youth. It was all like a saga, a story that would end before it began. Suddenly, the atmosphere changed as Kyi stiffened. The young woman looked at him, puzzled by the sudden change, wondering what it was that troubled him.

The answers wouldn't take very long before delivering themselves. Scrappy's comment and Exdee's confirmatory chirping didn't tell her much, but the Jedi soon did. Her heart sank - two organics plus the Dark Side? There were only a number of different ways this could end, and none of them looked very good. "Scrappy, get your stuff" she said, getting up of the chair at the same time as Kyi. Her voice lowered as the Knight walked away "Your highest priority is to make sure that Kyi survives now, okay?" her voice was serious, curt even. "But Ma-" the droid was cut short as she stared at him intently. After processing the new information for both one and two seconds, he nodded and walked away to gather his gear.

Letting the cardigan fall to the floor, Aurelie ran to their room. By the time she reached their room, Kyi was almost done changing. Thinking that she didn't have much time to gather all her gear, Aurelie took on a pair of jeans and a leather jacket. It wouldn't keep her very warm, but it would protect her against hard and sharp things. Omitting equipping the NEWDA, she took on both gloves, grabbed her gun and attached the vibroblade to the holster. Looking on her blaster for a brief moment, the young woman considered turning off the stun function on her blaster, minimising the risk of anything going awry. Shaking her head, she kept moving, leaving the stun mode on active.

Standing a fair bit behind Kyi, the XD-unit poked her leg and held up a hair tie. After thanking the droid, she quickly took it on, making it much easier to work. Kneeling down, still with her blaster held firmly in her right hand, she spoke "Go start up the Mynock" after a worried wooooo, the droid ran off. Walking up to him, she sighed "We're getting out of this alright, right?" she asked, concern clearly visible in her eyes.

As Aurelie ran upstairs to change, Kyi noticed that Scrappy stayed downstairs with him, which surprised him as usually the security droid would have been at his master's side, not Kyi's. With Aurelie in their room changing, he also took the time to put on his Jedi robe - fully completing his outfit ready to face these potential threats, while he would have preferred to wear his Jedi armour, there wouldn't be enough time right now. Shortly after fully dressing and clipping his lightsaber to his belt, Aurelie had arrived from their bedroom and was given a hair tie by Exdee.

Aurelie ordered Exdee to go and start the Mynock which the freckled Jedi greatly appreciated - he didn't want the XD-unit to be in anymore danger than his blue-eyed girlfriend was. Kyi's focused remained on the Force and the approaching Dark Side users, until this concentration was disrupted by Aurelie - she was noticeably worried, she wanted to know if they'd be capable of escaping okay. Avoiding her gaze, he looked away, the young Jedi Knight honestly didn't know, the future was always in motion and he had no way of knowing if he'd get out of this alive. But he'd make sure Aurelie would get out safe, if its the last thing he does. Kyi turned to her and let out a fake smile "Yeah, we'll be okay-" he lied "Just... get to the Mynock while I hold them off" he knew this was an unlikely scenario and she'd probably go and do the opposite of what he asked, because, well, that was just Aurelie.

With a deep exhale, the cottage's safety door open, making a hissing sound. Kyi, Aurelie, Scrappy and Exdee all stepped outside one by one, Exdee broke off from the other three and speedily made his way to the Mynock to start up its engines while Kyi, Aurelie and Scrappy walked further ahead to stand their ground against the oncoming Dark Siders - Kyi held Aurelie's hand gently in hopes of comforting her. Finally, the two Dark Siders emerged from the forest - one was a hulking female Dowutin and from what he could see, had a double-bladed lightsaber and the other was a young human male with a single-bladed lightsaber. The Dark Side was swirling around them - it felt as if it was enough to snuff out the Light side of the Force that swirled around Kyi.

"You were right, Master. There was a Jedi here." the young boy said with an arrogant smirk and tone, Kyi's face remained confident and un-moving "What do you want?" he asked, directing his eyes on the towering Dowutin woman who stood a few metres ahead. The faded orange woman let out a toothy grin before responding "We sensed another presence, a light. We came to snuff it out." the Dowutin's gaze then turned to Aurelie as she smirked "But I'm happy there's one for each of us to slaughter." Kyi felt a modicum of anger form in his chest at the Dowutin's intended threat toward Aurelie "Where'd you come from? Aren't the Sith in hiding?" he asked, trying to get as much information from her as possible before the inevitable engagement.

The Dowutin woman crossed her arms and focused her eyes on Kyi "My name is Nanda. I am no longer Sith. My apprentice and I were exiled two years ago." she paused, she wasn't stupid enough to reveal anymore information, but as she paused she took out her double-blade lightsaber from her belt and ignited it "But still...we won't pass up the chance to kill a Jedi and his girlfriend." she uttered, in a sadistic tone followed by a crazed smile. Nanda's apprentice followed his master and quickly ignited his own lightsaber, followed by Kyi igniting his own blue one without a word. However, he quickly glanced at Aurelie with a look of sorrow, conveying how sorry he was that he had gotten her involved in all of this, before returning his concentration on the two exiles
ahead of him.

He told her to get the Mynock? Aurelie's eyes locked with Kyi's, for a moment, the world stopped. They were in grave danger, unsure of whether they'd survive or not - but right now, they had each other. Both of them knew that she wouldn't be doing what he asked, she'd be sticking by his side whether he wanted to or not, just like on Tatooine.

Fear of what might happen to them pulsated through her body as they left their home. Her one source of calm and safety right now came from Kyi as he held her hand. Her eyes remained festered on him for as long as they could, until the two hostiles emerged from the forest. The corruption emanating from the Dowutin caused the thief to feel sick as she got closer, there was no doubt in her mind that the woman had to be powerful in the force. Soaking in the last ounce of strength she could, Aurelie let her hand slip out of Kyi's grasp - he needed to be ready for the battle, and so did she.

Filled with dark emotions, the young woman listened on the exile's banter. There was little which she could plausibly do against these saber wielding foes but she was determined to try. But then, There was little she wouldn't do to ensure that he got out of there alive and well. The two shared a final longing look at one another as the three activated their sabers "We'll be okay" she lied, repeating the words he had spoken earlier.

Holding her blaster tightly, the girl took a step back and looked at first the master, and then the apprentice. Through the corner of her eye, she saw that Scrappy had walked a few meters to the side, creating plenty of the space for their foes to cover if they wanted to get to him. For a brief moment, she thought of how wonderful of a companion he was. The tension was steadily rising but Aurelie still afforded a glance in the combat droid's direction. Her eyes locked into those of the droid, as if asking a question "Do you remember what I asked of you?" to which the droid responded with a solemn nod.

The large alien took a step towards the Jedi, making a show by spinning her saber and showing off her massive size advantage. "Drawing your weapon on me? Let me show you how futile your training has been" she said goading him, continuing to draw his attention as she took another step closer. Suddenly, the sound of something metallic hitting the grassy ground could be heard from next to the Knight. Upon looking to his side, Kyi would find Aurelie hanging helplessly in the air with both hands trying to pry away an invisible hand as she desperately tried to clasp for air. The apprentice held her in a choke through the force, holding her well above a ground level, letting her feet dangle without anything to stand on. Her eyes were watered as they looked at Kyi. While her mouth formed the word 'help', no sound came from it. A long stream of fire erupted from a distance, drowning the distracted apprentice in flames while also creating a short lasting wall between the master and Kyi. In his panic, the apprentice ceased the choke and flung the girl to the side, hurling her towards the ship. With a hard dunk, she hit a few crates which were all knocked down.

Seeing as the girl was unconscious, or at least not in a very good fighting condition, the apprentice turned to Scrappy.

"Let me show you how futile your training has been" Nanda goaded, as she spun her lightsaber in some form of intimidation display, although the Jedi Knight remained confident as he stayed in his Ataru stance. Suddenly, he noticed that Scrappy had been knocked back and into the grass through the use of the Force, Kyi then turned his head to see Aurelie was being held up by a Force choke that was coming from the Apprentice - "AURELIE!" he yelled in anger. The rage forming in his chest only grew larger. As he snapped his gaze toward Nanda and her Apprentice, giving them a look of sheer rage, he reached his arm out and aimed his palm at the Apprentice and tensed his index and middle fingers.

Kyi tapped into the Dark side and began choking the Apprentice through the Force as well, although, before he could do any real damage; Scrappy had used his flame thrower to attack the Apprentice and create a barrier between Kyi and Nanda - in response the Apprentice flung her toward the Mynock but Kyi swiftly used the Force to slow down her trajectory before she could take any real damage. Snapping out of it, Kyi regained his composure and turned toward Scrappy "Keep her safe, do not let the Apprentice touch her again." he then returned to look at Nanda through the wall of fire, the fire fuelled the hatred that burned in his eyes "I'm going to kill her." he uttered coldly.

Kyi knew that the Dowutin physically outmatched him - regardless of who was more stronger in the Force, however, with the improvement of his Ataru and his slender physique, it gave him the advantage in speed. Kyi took a few steps toward the two and leapt above the wall of fire, headed straight toward the Dowutin Dark sider and locked his lightsaber with hers upon landing. When their lightsabers had made the first strike against each other, he met hers first with his increased speed, however, it was knocked back slightly due to Nanda's superior strength. The force of her strike sent a shock wave through both of his arms but he couldn't focus on that right now, he had to survive.

Kyi pulled his lightsaber back to engage in another strike in an attempt to strike her waist but it was blocked, noticing an incoming attack from the other end of the exiled Sith's lightsaber - the freckled Jedi Knight quickly parried the strike from the bottom end of Nanda's lightsaber. Kyi's lightsaber, and his entire body was knocked back slightly with a slight push from Nanda, the Dowutin proceeded to raise her double-bladed lightsaber over her head with the aim to slice the young Knight down the middle, but Kyi used his speed to meet the attack head-on thus engaging in a lightsaber lock with the hulking Dowutin. She let out another arrogant chuckle "I sense the hatred and anger within you, that's not the Jedi way." she said with a condescending smirk.

The Jedi had noticed the Apprentice hadn't attacked him yet, which meant he had gone for Aurelie and Scrappy - Kyi hoped the security droid could survive long enough against him while he was focused on the exiled Master.

It was fortunate that Kyi had slowed down her flight, or else she might have crashed into a rock or something less prone to collapsing which worked to dampen the impact. The girl desperately drew breath, greedily welcoming more oxygen into her system as she recovered. Her head hurt along with various places on her back and everything sounded as if it was underwater. Scrappy was spraying the apprentice with fire - while the young man had adapted to the weapon and pushed the flames aside while advancing, it did keep him distracted. Time was, however, running out as the darksider walked forwards faster than Scrappy backed away. Meanwhile, her freckled boyfriend fought an arduous fight against the Dowutin.

With a grunt and several strained coughs as a result, Aurelie slowly rose to her feet. While the temporary loss of breath only caused temporary effects, they still had a noticeable impact on her performance, something which could easily be seen in the way she stood. Reaching for her blaster pistol, the thief noticed how her weapon was missing. Looking around the field of battle, she finally saw it lying on the ground close to where she had been choked. With half a breath, she stated "Gotta help..." before noticing that she'd have to keep her thoughts internal whilst still recovering from being choked.

While his owner's struggle to make it back to her gun continued, Scrappy was shot another burst of fire at the apprentice who seemed to get more and more frustrated. The constant streams ensured that he had to focus on protecting himself rather than using his powers offensively, but he knew that it was only a matter of time until he'd get his revenge. As the droid backed down, it noticed that something prevented it's foot from continuing its backwards movement. It was a heap of firewood. Undeterred by the piece of wood, the combat droid kept backing away, practically walking over the the pile. The game of cat and mouse continued until apprentice stood on top of the highly flammable material. With that, the combat droid sent a stream of fire onto the pile, causing the apprentice to be distracted for a bit.

With his opponent momentarily unoperational foe, the droid looked at Aurelie as she struggled to retrieve the gun. It wouldn't be hard for the droid to aid her in the matter by simply running over and throwing it to her and creating some distance with the apprentice at the same time. That wouldn't happen however, as the machine instead decided to send a stream of fire onto the large alien as her blade was locked with Kyi's - still remembering his instructions rather clearly. While he would've liked to have stopped and refocus on the apprentice, the darksided boy was faster and raised an arm, causing Scrappy to float in the air. Without further ado, he threw the droid at Aurelie.

While still engaged in a lot of blades, the freckled Jedi began to feel the Dowutin exile start to overpower him, trying to push back with his own strength was futile and his legs started to bend from the sheer power of Nanda. Although, Scrappy came to the rescue once again as he doused the exiled Sith's arm with his flamethrower, distracting her and giving Kyi enough time to break the lock. He turned to look behind him and saw that Scrappy had been thrown by the Apprentice and he was headed right for the unsuspecting blue-eyed thief. Kyi swiftly held his arm out and slowed down Scrappy's trajectory completely with Force stasis, "Aurie! Move!" he shouted, warning her, that should give her enough time to get out of the way.

Kyi then heard the hum of a lightsaber closing in from behind him, he quickly used the Force to enhance his speed, rolling sideways as to avoid a fatal hit from Nanda. As she slowly walked toward him to attack him once more, Kyi used the time he had between lightsaber strikes to break off a piece of tree bark from a nearby tree and hurl it toward the Apprentice - whether or not it hit him, distracted him or if he blocked it, hopefully both Aurelie and Scrappy would have the time to gather their bearings from his onslaught.

Turning his field of view back to his opponent, he saw she had closed the gap significantly in the time it took for him to throw the large piece of bark at the Apprentice. She sent out an attack from her left to her right in a horizontal attack, aiming to slice the Jedi in half from the waist down, Kyi quickly used the Force to enhance his speed temporarily so he could block his left side from the incoming attack, the attack's impact to his lightsaber sent another shock wave through his left arm. The two Force users then pulled away their lightsabers in opposite directions to engage in another attack, Kyi raised his lightsaber and swung it down, diagonally into the other side of Nanda's lightsaber and the two engaged in a series of perfect strikes and counters.

However, the Jedi miscalculated and made a mistake - instead of blocking or parrying an incoming attack, he decided to leap back a few inches to avoid the full swing of her blade, Kyi was beginning to grow tired from all of Nanda's intense and powerful strikes which allowed her to take the freckled Knight's brief breached defence and use the Force to hold him in place and levitate him in the air. "I'm not going to lie, Jedi. This is the most fun I've had in years!" she cackled before thrusting her massive arm forward and launching him into the trunk of a nearby tree, completely smashing him through it and landing him in the deeper forest.

Winded, Kyi coughed and gagged for air - calming down and beginning to feel the effects of fatigue set in, the Jedi took this brief interlude to reflect. He felt ashamed for tapping into the Dark side for that brief moment but he wasn't apologetic about keeping his blue-eyed girlfriend safe from harm, reminding himself he couldn't give up and he needed to keep fighting for the not just her but for Exdee, Scrappy and himself. With that, the young Jedi got up to his feet again, bruised and battered but he held his lightsaber firm, ready to fight. He hoped Aurelie and Scrappy were fairing better than he was.

Hearing the Knight call out for her, Aurelie looked up again and saw what was going on. Speedily, she threw herself to the side before Kyi's slow wore off. She felt pathetic as she looked upon the body of her beloved droid being flung past her like some piece of trash, only to crash brutally against a tree stub. Parts fell loose at the chassis suffered critical damages with a small fire erupting by one of the motors - it would take some serious work to get him activated again, if he survived the fire. Desperately, she tried to get back up to her feet, still drawing flawed breaths from being choked. The need to put out the fire was dire, but her body simply wouldn't comply. There was an intimidating sense of cool in the apprentice as he walked towards them with his saber drawn.

A puzzled look spread across her face as the apprentice deactivated his weapon but kept walking. His hand raised as he used to force to pick up some parts from Scrappy's arm and flung them at her which caused the girl to flinch "Oww" she whined upon being hit by the metallic pieces. His demonstrations of the force so far had showed that he could probably have killed her at a situation like this, why didn't he? A certain degree of fear could be seen in her eyes as she slowly came to the realisation that the twisted evil being might actually just want to 'play with his food' for a bit. All of a sudden, a branch hit his head, causing the man to stumble and even go as far as to drop his weapon.

With that, Aurelie started to crawl towards her weapon. Her peripheral sight saw the other woman blow the freckled Jedi away. She wanted to scream"Run" but no words escaped her mouth. By the time Nanda turned to look at Aurelie, her apprentice had already recovered and was once again slowly making his way closer to her. Seeing as the little sideproblem was already being dealt with, the large alien moved towards Kyi.

It didn't take long until the exile was looming over her, just two meters away. Raising a weak arm, she hoped to let the man know that she was asking for mercy. There would be no such thing. In a sudden and violent move, he held his arms out against her, summoning a few sparks. Fear crept into her eyes as she realised that he might just be intent practicing on her. He tried again, but only managed to summon sparks, and then a third time. This time, a short current of lightning traveled from his finger tips which caused her tremendous pain. Entering a fetal position, the girl whimpered pathetically as her body twisted in pain. The exile then tried again, and again until he was finally out of patience. With his patience at an all time low, he reached out with the force to forcefully bring the girl to her feet. With her body basically standing upright, levitating in the air, he once again started to choke her. Only this time, none of her allies were nearby. Slowly, he started to pull her closer until he could physically put his hand against her throat whilst keeping her floating in the air.

"No white knight to save you this time?" he asked mockingly as her hands tried to tear his away to no avail. She tried to speak, but once again, received no air. As her sight started blurring, Aurelie could see Exdee putting out the flames on Scrappy with the ship's fire extinguisher. "I wonder how you your boyfriend is going to react when I execute you in front of his eyes" Once the girl wasn't even conscious enough to keep her eyes open, he let go of the choke and threw her over his shoulder. It didn't take long until he could be seen by Kyi and the master.

The apprentice's steps soon started to slow down and his knees weakened until he finally fell down on the ground unconscious. Aurelie had managed to slip a K.O square onto his back. Laying still on top of the exile, it could clearly be seen that she was still drawing breath.

As Nanda slowly walked over, she launched her lightsaber at the freckled Jedi. This could be an opening for the Jedi, as the lightsaber curved, cutting through the trees it passed, spinning faster than the eye could see in his direction - the Jedi studied the lightsaber intensely, trying to get the perfect shot. Kyi held his lightsaber firm as it closed in, getting even closer - Kyi raised his lightsaber slightly in preparation for what he had planned. With a quick, blink and you'll miss it, diagonal strike - the young Jedi Knight had perfectly sliced the double-bladed lightsaber in half causing orange and yellow sparks to fly everywhere.

A look of shock and devastation fell on the exiled Sith's face, her mouth hung open as she watched it all transpire, she just stood there frozen. Using this opportunity, Kyi summoned the Force and used it to push her through the forest and send her flying back into the open area where Kyi and Aurelie's cottage was located. Quickly, Kyi used the Force to levitate the split lightsaber and sliced both of its emitters to assure she wouldn't attempt to use both of them on him.

As Kyi exited the forest and back to where the main action was, he spotted Aurelie and the Apprentice both unconscious, with Exdee extinguishing putting out the flames on a downed Scrappy. He so desperately wanted to check on Aurelie and hold her, to let her know everything would be alright but he couldn't... not yet at least. Returning his attention to the Dowutin up ahead of him, who was recovering from his Force push - her eyes landed on him as she let out a growl and gritted her teeth at the same time. Reaching her arm out, in the direction of the Apprentice's unconscious body, he turned to see that the lightsaber on his belt was rattling. Kyi reached his arm out in an attempt to stop it but he was too late, before he knew it, the lightsaber was already in Nanda's hand.

Letting out another growl, she jumped toward him and landed a few feet away from him, igniting her Apprentice's lightsaber as Kyi reignited his, before they engaged in further combat. The two engaged in another lightsaber lock but this time, the Jedi noticed her strength faltering - he was starting to overpower her slightly but she swiftly broke the lightsaber lock and attempted to jab him the single-bladed lightsaber, but it was countered when Kyi swiped it away with a backhanded strike. He was getting his second wind, while she was growing tired. With her swinging arm being knocked out of the way, Kyi used the opening to place both hands on his lightsaber and stab her in the lower abdomen. Nanda gagged and froze for a moment, mouth agape, before finally falling backwards and falling on to the charred grass lifelessly.

Having defeated his opponent, Kyi breathed a sigh of relief and deactivated his lightsaber before turning and running, Kyi then skidding on his knees toward his unconscious lover. She was still breathing but it was shallow, holding her head gently and placing it in his lap, he caressed her cheek and whispered "Aurie...Aurie, wake up." he said softly, "We're okay, your okay." he repeated twice, still caressing her cheeks, trying to get her to wake up.

The battle between Kyi and the Dowutin was still raging on and the violent sound from their lightsaber clashes still drowned out the calm and peaceful sounds which they enjoyed when they woke up the same morning. Having been thrown over his shoulder when he fell, Aurelie noticed how her legs were pinned under his body. Still suffering from uneven breathing, her body wouldn't put much energy into getting away from the sleeping man. Instead, all energy was focused on recovering the lost oxygen. The angry noise from a lightsaber kept coming closer. In some regard, it made he happy - it should mean that Kyi was still alive, but it probably also meant that the large exile was too.

Zoning in and out of consciousness, the girl had a rather surreal experience. She felt as if she kept returning to a bad dream, but in reality, the 'dream' was in fact not a dream at all. While she couldn't see the battle, she heard it, and she heard when a blade made its violent sound, but not clashing into another blade but rather into something soft. Her heart sank as she feared the worst. A frown spread across her face and the reading became more strained and less regular. Thoughts of Kyi flashed through her mind along with a deep rooted fear that she'd loose him.

Next time she regained consciousness, her head was resting upon something warm and comfortable. Slowly, her mind tuned in to what was being said. It was Kyi! Her eyes opened, looking up onto his freckled face. Showing verbal appreciation or physical attachment - there was so much she wanted to do, but for the moment, there was simply very little she could do. Still, there was no real point in remaining where she was, in such close proximity to the Exile and she badly wanted to check on Kyi to make sure that he really was okay. After a moments preparation, the girl made an effort to get up but quickly stopped. She produced small whimpers of pain as her eyes watered up. Clearly, she had taken enough punishment for one day. "Did they hurt you?" she asked, fearing the possibility of a hidden injury, of Kyi putting up a brave face for her.

"Did they hurt you?" Aurelie asked, of course she did, here she was injured and desperately gasping for air - she had taken the most hits during this fight and she was asking how he was. Surprisingly, the freckled Knight hadn't taken as much damage as he had thought he would have going against an exiled Sith. Overwhelmed by emotions, his hands remained gently on her cheeks as he leaned his head in to plant a soft kiss on her lips - "I'm more worried about you." he stated, ignoring the blue-eyed thief's question, he looked further ahead and noticed her legs were trapped under the exiled Apprentice's. With a slow arm motion, he used the Force to push the Apprentice off of Aurelie's legs and remained in position, holding her head in his lap.

Which brought another question to his mind causing his brows to furrow, Aurie had successfully managed to defeat the Apprentice? A Dark side Force-sensitive? Kyi knew the blue-eyed thief was scrappy in a fight and was more than capable of handling herself but wow, she managed to actually stop one. Kyi lowered his head and locked eyes with her and formed a small smile on his freckled face "Hey, how'd you manage that?" he said pointing at the unconscious Apprentice.

After hearing his answer, Kyi gently moved her head from his lap and stood up - helping her up with him, as they were stood he wrapped his arm around her waist to keep her steady as well as a form of affection. Taking a moment to evaluate what had transpired, he rotated his head around the area - Nanda's body laid lifeless on charred grass next to the wall of fire, meanwhile the Apprentice was laid on his front, still very much unconscious and then turning his head to his right, he saw Exdee attempting to help Scrappy who was still damaged from hitting the tree - nuts and bolts were scattered across the grass still.

Turning his head to look at his blue-eyed girlfriend "Can you walk by yourself?" he asked with a worried tone "Check on Scrappy... I'll deal with the Apprentice... if you're okay to walk." after everyone was alright and has recuperated, the young Jedi Knight would then use the Mynock to transport the exiled Sith apprentice to the local authorities - or if anything, the Galactic Alliance.

Why wasn't he answering? Why wouldn't he tell her that 'no, I'm fine'? Her eyes bounced from point to point as she scanned his face for signs when he finally leaned in for a kiss. For an undeservedly long time, all her woes seemed to disappear as she was filled with an euphoric sense of joy. Kyi seemed to be alright and could still make her all lightheaded through the simplest of acts. A meek smile formed on her lips as her watery eyes, previously pained, turned happy. "Thanks, I'm okay" she said with a small and sweet voice.

His question didn't bring her any pleasant memories as the apprentice's voice echoed through her head "No white knight to save you this time? I wonder how your boyfriend is going to react when I execute you in front of his eyes" Ultimately deciding that he didn't need to know the full extent of what the apprentice had said, she replied "He was carrying me off, but I had a K.O. square, you know, the thing we used against the Sullustan engineer." The young woman's eyes drifted off to the large corpse and saw the burning mark. It was rather clear how he had defeated his opponent - at this point, she didn't mind that the Exile had died. The only thing that mattered was that she could be together with the freckled knight.

Getting back up on her feet was much easier after a bit more recovery time and Kyi's help. Having been thrown around, assaulted with parts from Scrappy's arm, choked twice and even subjected to a painful electric zap, she was hurting everywhere. Still, there she stood, alive and with a steady arm wrapped around her waist. While it wasn't much of a romantic moment, she certainly felt close to him.

The girl raised an eyebrow upon his question, wondering why they couldn't stay together for longer. The sedatives still had plenty of time before they were out, and then, she'd have another one ready. Flashbacks of her boyfriend choking the apprentice, purely by the use of the force appeared. While her understanding of the light side and dark side was rather limited, she knew that he wasn't really himself when he did that. Aurelie turned to the jedi and raised an arm to put on his elbow, excreting just a bit too much effort when doing it. "Sure" she said before looking deeply into his brown eyes "Just don't forget who you are." With that, the thief started making her way towards Scrappy, walking almost as a baby doe on ice.

"Oh, Scrappy" she said compassionately as the broken droid laid resting against a tree with parts scattered all over the place. Exdee had already begun gathering them and sorting them into neat piles. Knowing that there wasn't much she could do to bring him back right now, the thief simply fell to her knees and hugged the droid affectionately whilst waiting for Kyi to finish what he was doing.

As the young couple temporarily and reluctantly parted ways, Kyi made his way toward the downed Apprentice as the words [COLOR= darksalmon]"Just don't forget who you are."[/COLOR] rung through his ears, did Aurelie notice him tapping into the Dark side for that brief moment? The feeling of great shame overwhelmed him once again - he was a Jedi Knight, he was above losing control like that, he had overcome the Dark side several times before... and then, he had let it into his heart so easily once again. Kyi's freckled face showed that of disappointment as he stood over the unconscious Apprentice.

The young Knight crouched and rolled the boy onto his back and checked his pulse to make sure he was still stable - seeing that his pulse was still fine, he grabbed both of the Apprentice's arms and lifted him up, proceeding to fling the boy's unconscious body over his shoulder and held him there firmly with his right arm. The freckled Jedi made his way toward the Mynock with the memory of him choking the young Apprentice through the Force, with the full intent of killing him through sheer hatred - he shook his head, feeling complete disgust that he allowed anger and rage to cloud his judgement. After entering the Mynock, he made his way toward the crew's quarters and placed the Apprentice on one of the beds before exiting and locking the door behind him.

As he stepped down the Mynock's loading ramp, Kyi realised he wasn't as in control of his emotions as he thought he was and assured to himself that he would take the necessary steps to fully mastering his temper going forward. Kyi watched Aurelie and Exdee fixing up Scrappy a few feet ahead - as he watched the blonde woman working on her droid with fierce determination, despite her injured state, he realised something, after all they had been through; he loved her. And with all that had transpired, it made the young Jedi realise that life is short and that anything could happen at any moment.

When the freckled Jedi was a few inches away from his girlfriend, without saying anything, he crouched down and gently grabbed her hand and guided her up as he began to stand up. He hugged her and held her close for a few moments, still saying nothing, he pulled away and placed his hands in hers - looking deeply into her blue eyes and with a serious look, he finally uttered those three words "I love you." he said softly and with no hint of reluctance in the statement.

Holding one of the parts of Scrappy's arm which was flung at her earlier, Aurelie was surprised that the damage that caused the most lasting and noticeable pain was from getting hit by it. It was lucky that she had taken the leather jacket before leaving or else the damage might've been more severe. A slight smile appeared as she started attaching the arm again "I'm so lucky to have you, you know that?" she said with a low voice, thinking of all the times she had been saved by the machine. Even today, he did a tremendous job.

With both arms working, and most of the head put back together, the girl started working on the cables by a control panel on his torso which caused a few twitches and a couple of flashes with visual preceptors lighting system in the eyes. "Come on" she whispered with gritted teeth, desperately hoping to bring the droid back online as soon as possible, even though he probably wouldn't even be able to walk at this stage. Exdee soon came close and curiously watched what she was doing, even starting to scan the larger machine. Soon, it started chirping eagerly "Sure thing, you can have a go if you want" she said, removing her hand to give the explorer droid some space. Meanwhile, she started working on the legs.

Soon, enthusiastic chirps could be made as Scrappy started powering up completely "Scrappy!" she exclaimed, quickly going on the offence by attacking the droid with a big hug "Master?" it asked confused whilst looking around, first to see Aurelie's shoulder as she hugged him, and then a happy XD-droid hopping about next to him with a few cheerful chirps "Well, thank you" he said, looking down at the little friend. Not prone to forgetting, the droid continued "Where is Kyi?". A warm smile formed on the young woman's lips "He's alright, mission accomplished" she said, releasing the hug. With that, she continued working on the leg whilst the two machines chattered away.

It was quite sudden when Kyi crouched down, gently bringing her up to her feet as he guided her hand. Finally, a lot of the stress and pressure that had built up during the past period was released once he pulled her in for a hug. Dropping the tool she held, Aurelie hugged back, letting out a soft "mmm" sound as she relaxed in his arms.

It almost always felt a little bad to pull away from a hug with Kyi, but this time, it seemed fine. For what reason, she had no idea. He looked her deep in the eyes and received the same treatment himself. Without even thinking about it, a smile spread across her face. Just as she was about to speak, about to ask him what was going on, the freckled knight spoke.

"I love you"

"What did he say now? Was that..? Yes, he loves me. Yes!" in the mere blink of an eye, her face went from careful confusion to utter joy. Aurelie had never been as happy as she was in this moment. Leaning in and letting her body brush up against his, the young woman kissed him, once, twice, and then once more for good measure. Exdee made an excited chirp as it turned to look at what was happening. They stood close now. Their noses were almost touching, only millimeters apart, and she could feel his soft breath. Her eyes looked onto his intimately while her bright smile was at full display. Another kiss, and then she spoke; sincerely and doubtlessly with a sweet voice

"I love you too"
