Faan'tina groaned, awaking to feel her vision slowly moving in and out of focus. She was in some kind of cell made of solid gray slabs of concrete, but she could tell little else from her position on the rock-hard bed. A failing light outside her cell block was emitting an irritating buzz, but she figured that was the least of her worries. While her eyes sorted themselves out, Faan'tina recalled the ugly grunts with the blaster; she now realized it must have been a stun dart. The entry hole it had left was still throbbing away, muffled by Faan'tina's still fuzzy senses. The prison carried the smell of unwashed inmates and a lack of proper bathrooms. Faan'tina coughed at the unbearable stench, wrinkling her nose in disgust. In a fleeting moment, she remembered that Hakim had been captured as well. A soft thump sounded around her cell block as Faan'tina rolled off the bed and stumbled over to the cold steel bars, tightly wrapping her hands around them to gaze down the long, dimly-lit hallway, hoping for any sight or sign of her smuggler friend.

Novus woke up suddenly. He squinted through the blue energy field at the cell across from him. He saw a cat-like form inside, and another human walking away from the cell, and down the hall. He rolled his eyes. These burly idiots were always annoying.

"Why'd they nab you?" he asked the prisoner in the cell across from him. Then he paused. "Wait- you're that Cathar from the Outlander Club. Huh. Funny... It's amazing that a meter of stone and a force shield to my left is the bounty hunter I was fighting.

Oh, and the Twi'lek... I overheard them when they were dragging her away. She's in the West Tower, and we're in the North Dungeon." Novus smiled. "Just for when we escape."

Temis crouched down on the ground of his cage, which when he looked through saw that it was only ten feet from the other two prisoners. That fool boy, and the Cathar from the bar.

He traced his finger on the floor, drawing out a diagram of the room from what he could see. He looked around his force cage, it was a Mextech Model 3A style forcecage, high quality, but it had a fatal flaw in the design. The connection at the top of the cage wasn't quite as strong as it could be. It would allow a person to get out, though it would be very painful for them.

He breathed deeply then launched himself with his powerful legs up to the top of the door and twisted sideways to get through the narrow gap of weaker field. The pain was incredible and he barely caught himself on the otherside before hitting the ground. He slowly stood, his armor smoking from the heat of the shield. He grabbed his gear and turned to a grate that was in the ceiling. He Opened it with his sword then shot his grappling gun into it and hauled himself up just as he heard a guard coming back. He had barely closed the grate when the guard entered the room.....

Novus watched the fool break out of the Force Cage with one eyebrow raised delicately. When the grate closed, the mowhawked merc, Tarkar'un, walked down the corridor. "Hello, scum," he adressed Novus.

"Hello, trash," Novus replied in a sour tone.

"Somebody's cranky," the merc said, grinning evilly. He turned to face Hakim. "Aw... The widdle puddy tat is stuck in a cage, idn't he?" Tarkar'un poked a bantha prod through the bars at Hakim, set to deliver a painful jolt.

He laughed, and walked away, not having noticed Temis's disappearance.

Hakim had been about to respond to Novus when Mohawk came walking by. He just stepped back from the bars as the human brandished a bantha prod, his eyes narrowing to slits at Mohawk and a feral growl almost working it's way out of his muzzle.

After he had walked off, Hakim stepped back up to the bars and allowed his growl to surface. "He sure is ugly, isn't he?" He muttered, more to himself than to Novus. The cathar then turned his full attention back to Novus and piped up, speaking in a hushed tone; "You mentioned escape. I assume that means you have a plan."

Novus's trained ears caught the insult to the guard. "Yes, I have to agree.. That garish bag of trash."

He listened, and smiled. "Oh, yes, I have a plan. That habit comes from spending time with my old master- he tried to kill me multiple times, when I was least expecting it. Nasty fellow... but I digress."

The young human continued on in hushed tones, "I saw this place on the way in- Mr. Escpae Artist found one exit, but there are more. I just need this stupid cage turned off, and I can get you out of your cell. The ducts that our friend found would make a prime manuevering route... For rescuing your woman, and for getting out of here."

As soon as the guard left Temis lowered the grate again and dropped agily to the ground. He gracfully ran to the controls for the force shields, his footfalls making no sound at all. He flipped the cages off and motioned the two of them forward,
"As much as I hate having dead weight hanging around, you two might be of some use, plus I don't want you telling them how I escaped."

Novus nodded, and said "Thank you," while dashing outside the Force Barrier. Just in case the man changed his mind about Novus's usefulness.

"I need to get to a terminal, so I can find where they stashed our weapons. I also need a few minutes in wherever this place's mainframe is- to leave an explosive gift, of course."

He turned to Hakim. "You coming?"

((Oh and by the way, you still don't know my guy's name as he hasn't told you. :)))

Temis shook his head.

"No, you can kill whomever you wish except for the Hutt and his personal guard, that man with the mohawk. But you cannot cause severe damage. I may yet have to work for this Hutt lord and I do not want my reputation tarnished. Professional courtesy and such."

((OOC/ Okay. I had Novus call his "Mr. Escape Artist" istead. =D))

The young man's left eyebrow shot up. "I will... abide by your terms. Well, most of them, anyway. I made Tarkar'un a promise, and I always follow up on them, so I can't guarantee his safety."

Faan'tina squinted around despairingly, but Hakim was nowhere to be seen. Horrible thoughts couldn't help but flash through her mind; Faan'tina had to struggle to set them aside, insisting to herself that he was merely in another part of the jail. Slumping back to her makeshift bed, she plonked impatiently down on the stiff mattress. Faan'tina winced and rubbed her aching behind; she'd forgotten how hard that thing was. "Mental note," she muttered to herself, "the beds here are not as they appear." Faan'tina wondered what was happening to Hakim right now, and if she should stay put or try and find a way out. There didn't appear to be any simple escape route from her cell; the bars were all firmly secured in place, and there were no windows that she could speak of. Escape almost seemed like a hopeless endeavor for the time being, so Faan'tina curled up her uncomfortable sleeping quarters and tried to rest as best she could.

[Whoopsie, I've been MIA. Sorry y'all.]

Hakim quickly ducked out of his cell after the human assassin turned him and Novus loose. He wasn't about to dally and see if the man would have second thoughts about setting free one pissed cathar, after all.

He stood off to the side with his arms folded across his chest as the two men talked, his brow heavily furrowed in concentration as he both listened to what they were saying and devised a plan on how he would escape.

When the one human mentioned not killing the Hutt or his personal guard, and avoiding causing severe damage, that caused the cathar's ears to lay back nearly flat against his skull and his fur to bristle slightly. He would love to riddle the disgusting slug with blaster bolts in retaliation for the line the Hutt had crossed by kidnapping Faan'tina.

However, he said nothing, instead settling to just scowl and mutter something under his breath regarding slugs, their relation to sewage, and more than a few obscenities. After briefly ranting to himself, Hakim piped up. "Fine. But once I get my friend and my ship -which I'm sure slugface impounded here-, I'm gone."

He then turned to Novus, and briefly queried him. "You said you knew where Faan'tina is being held; right? Can you tell me how to get there?"

Novus nodded. "Of course. I saw them go down the hall, and they were talking about it. Stupid lizards.... Anyway, she's in the East Tower. We're in the West Dungeons. If we're sneaky about this, we can use those air vents to get to the turbolift, then get to her. It should be easy to set her free, as long as Ugly isn't up there. Once we get her out, you two head to your ship, and I check and make sure that my ship hasn't been impounded in here- if it has, we both have an easy escape. If not, I'll require a dropoff at Kaluka Won's Landing Pads."

[OOC: Holy s***. I've missed a lot. Anyone willing not to call me on this bad post?]

Grogily Dal forced his eyes open. The dim light assaulted his eyeballs, forcing him to squint passed his hangover. "Light, but what the hell did I drink?" He muttered, hanfds instinctively moving to his face. And that was when he heard the voices and noise around him. And the chains holding his atrms down. The chatter of voices sounded familiar though... the cat man he had seen earlier. Maybe he would have a chance if he could get the man over to him. But first... "Where the bloody hell am I?" He growled, slamming his fist into the ground with enough force to bruise the bottom of his hand and wrist.

"Hey! Whoever the hell is out there! Get your arse in here and help me out a bit! I'm an old man who can't take the constant strain of this. Do you hear me?! Get me out of this hell hole and back into this light forsaken place!" Dal yelled, trying to gain Hakim and Novus' attention. Hopefully not attracting the guards in the process.

Novus turned to look into the cell. A man lay chained on a table, with a shaft of dim light striking his eyes. Novus almost negligently waved his right hand, and with a loud clang, several things broke- the chains, the lock, and the bars on the door.

"Quiet down, fool!" Novus hissed at him.

Dal glowered at Novus as he slowly cracked his neck and stretched his back. Grimacing slightly from the pain in his head, Dal tried to think of something besides a pickaxe through his skull. Nothing worked. Everything inexorably led up to him using his head, increasing the pain more. Dal growled lowly in a quiet tone. "Damn these lightblinded fools! I think they drugged me. But that is not important. Where are our weapons? We need to get them and get out of here wherever here is. Now, who the hell are you and why in the bloody name of the flaming light are we in this cespit?"

With slow, careful steps to watch his balance Dal made his way out of the cell. He ssquinted again to adjust to the slightly brighter light which proved blinding to his newly overly sensitive eyes. Turning his head was a chore in itself. But that didn't stop him from straightening his back, patting his metallic chest and clenching his cybernetic fists tightly. His bionic eye flickered once before adjusting rapidly to the light. He could all but hear his mind protesting what he forced his body to do. But that didn't matter when you were half android. He rubbed his slight three days growth of beard thoughtfully as he waited for a reply.

Novus turned rather abruptly to face Dal again. "Questions, questions, questions. We don't have time! But to get it out in the open, our weapons are on this rack behind me- the Trandoshans aren't that bright. This alien next to me is Hakim, and the man on my left is Temis. I know why we're here, but I don't know about you."

He turned back to Hakim.

"When do we go?"

The moment the weapons rack had been pointed out, the cathar smuggler set upon it, and liberated his assault rifle and heavy blaster pistol from the storage rack, along with a few mags of ammunition for his rifle. How the stupid scalies had broken the access locks on his ship's armory, he would never know, but they did. And oddly enough, he was glad they had, because now he was armed.

As Novus turned back to Hakim and spoke to him, the Cathar male had just slapped a mag into the rifle, and was in the process of charging a round into the chamber. "I was thinking now would be a good time." He replied, letting the charging handle fly forward after he finished speaking, the bolt making a metallic clack as it snapped forward and chambered a cartridge. "You mentioned sneaking through the air vents. Please, lead on. I'll follow."

Without pausing for a single moment to even shake some of the pain out of his head Dal moved to the weapon rack. He shouldered his 86 caliber rifle and strapped it across for extra leverage. Slapping a magazine into the rifle, Dal let a cold look seep into his eyes as he surveyed the area around them. His bionic eye let him see heat signature traces. There was six guards in the next room over, but he couldn't tell if that was a hallway or a room... making his choice, Dal decided it couldn't hurt to play it safe.

"Guards over there. We make enough noise, say by climbing through the vents, and they'll hear us for sure. I'm not one for inaction. I say we take them out. Might as well. Crawling through the vents would make enough racket to wake the light forsaken dead. The flaming guards would surely hear a heavy cathar, a metallic man and another person crawling through the vents." He said behind a barely disguised growl. Crawling through the vents? What a fool thing to do unless they had some way to make little to no noise. And there was no way that was possible to his knowledge.
