Faan'tina mumbled sleepily, stretching her long green legs against the blue wrinkled bed covers. She drowsily registered that it must be morning, but without a clock it was difficult to tell. Slowly sliding out of bed, Faan'tina spared a few minutes to re-arrange herself, before slipping out through the sliding bedroom door. The Tien was very quiet this early, Faan'tina observed, as she tiptoed to the lounge. Hakim didn't appear to be in sight, so instead she settled into one of the deep comfy chairs to wait for him.

The events of last night were all a blur for Faan'tina; she recalled they had felt shocking at the time, but now the emotions had dulled themselves in her sleep. Realizing her mouth felt parched, but not recalling Hakim telling her where to find water, Faan'tina rose out of her chair to search for it herself, still scuffing her feet around groggily.

Hakim awoke from his sleep only a couple minutes before Faan'tina. The first thing he did, after stretching out and yawning rather loudly, was slip out of bed, grab a change of clothes, then slipped out of his room and padded to the shared washroom to take a quick shower.

After hurriedly showering and getting dressed, then dumping his towel and nightclothes into a laundry hamper in the washroom, Hakim left the room and headed out to the lounge, his bare feet making almost no noise on the durasteel flooring as he walked.
He figured that Faan'tina would still be asleep, not because it was early in the morning,
but because he imagined that she would be exhausted after the events of yesterday.

But when he reached the lounge, his dark blue eyes took in the sight of a groggy Faan'tina, shuffling around in a drowsy fashion. "G'mornin', sleepyhead." He said in a cheerful tone, tucking his gray tank-top into the waist of his pants as he walked into the room. "Did you sleep well?" He asked, not yet realizing that Faan'tina was in search of something.

Mid-way through her search, Faan'tina was interrupted by Hakim's voice. Looking up, she saw him standing nearby; from the looks of it he'd been up before her. Faan'tina was a little surprised he was awake; she thought she wouldn't have heard him. Although, since he was Cathar, it made sense that he would be pretty light on his feet. After her brain finished registering his presence, she perked up almost immediately. "Hi," she smiled cheerily, "Where would I find some water?"

"In the galley, but you just sit down and relax. I'll get a glass for you." The Cathar replied, flashing Faan'tina a warm smile before leaving the lounge just as quietly as he had entered. He only took a minute to get to the galley, pour a glass of water, and then return to the Lounge.

After moving back into the Lounge and passing the glass off to Faan'tina on his way to a comfy-looking leather couch positioned along the back wall, Hakim let out a soft yawn as he settled onto the far end of the couch and got himself comfy. He didn't speak, opting instead to kick back, relax, and wait to see if Faan'tina had anything to say or ask.

Thanking him, Faan'tina gratefully drank the water Hakim had given her, only once pausing for a breath of air. The glass drained, she sighed contently and settled deeper into her chair. "You have a really nice ship," Faan'tina said, looking around admiringly at the furnishings.

After a slight pause, she continued, "What sort of hobbies do you have, if you don't mind my asking?" Faan'tina smiled curiously, absent mindedly fiddling with the glass in her hands.

Hakim couldn't suppress the broad smile that appeared on his muzzle as Faan'tina complimented his ship. It had taken a lot of work to get her up and running again, let alone to restore the vessel to it's current level of aesthetics. To hear a compliment on the Tien was definetly a pleasant thing.

However, he didn't get a chance to thank her for the compliment, as not long after Faan'tina spoke of the ship, she asked what types of hobbies he held. "I don't mind your asking at all." He began, sitting up a little straighter on the couch and turning his gaze to Faan'tina. "To answer your question, I don't have a whole lot of interesting hobbies. When I was younger, I used to hunt with my best friend, and I also had a interest in tinkering with anything mechanical, which is an interest I still hold. Nowadays, I mostly just read and play holo-games. I don't have much time for anything else though, since I usually keep myself busy so that I don't get bored, living alone on the Tien."

Faan'tina listened intently to Hakim telling her about his hobbies, nodding with interest, her chin resting on her left hand, while the other fiddled with the glass. When he finished speaking, she sat up slightly and smiled, "Well, you're not alone anymore, right?" Faan'tina stated cheerily. Meanwhile, her body decided to alert her of the need for food, grumbling quietly to itself, like it was complaining in it's own strange language.

"Nope, I am definetly no longer alone." Hakim replied in a upbeat tone, a bright smile plastered on his muzzle as he spoke. His fur-covered ears picked up what sounded like a very quiet, distant grumble, but he ignored it, thinking it was little more than the ship's waste disposal system pumping the contents of the storage tanks through the docking lines and into the hangar's own waste systems, where it would be finally pumped into the city's septic systems. The process itself sounded slightly like a grumbling belly when the sound dampers on the shipboard pumps were jostled out of place.

If he had been thinking straight, the cathar would have realized that the sound was not his ship, but rather, Faan'tina's stomach telling her it was time for a meal. But as it was, he was too preoccupied with gazing across the lounge with his dark blue orbs, which were focused upon Faan'tina's lovely smile. As luck would have it, though, Hakim did think to ask her what time she would like to have breakfast, so that he be able to better accomadate his newfound friend's wants and needs.

"On a quick side note, around what time do you usually like to have breakfast?"

Faan'tina couldn't hide her pleasant surprise that Hakim had noticed her need for food, although she supposed it could just be coincidence, seeing as it was about that time. She also realized that she was still fiddling with the glass, and that it probably wasn't a good habit to get into, so the made the decision to put it down, after answering Hakim's question.

"You read my mind," Faan'tina grinned cheerfully, "I was just thinking about breakfast," she paused, bending over to set the glass down on the floor nearby her chair. "Anytime is good with me..." she continued, sitting slowly upright again, but Faan'tina's stomach interrupted her with a soft, impatient growl, this time more audible than the first, "Although soon might be good," Faan'tina ended sheepishly, with a nervous laugh.

((OOC/ I want to get Novus in, so I'm having him be snatched first. =3))

Two burly Trandoshans walked through the subterranean corridor's of Gorga the Hutt's dungeons, hefting a cloaked figure. A hulking human with a bleach-white mowhawk and a battle hammer walked in front. The prisoner's hood was down, revealing his face- a young male human, with short brown hair, spiked, and deep brown eyes. The young man's bronze skin shone in the dim light of the fortress' hallways.

"Why do we have to put him in the far prison cell?" one of the giant reptiles complained.

The other one replied, "Yeah... I'm hungry, and this one would taste good seared..."

"Be silent! You two sound like smugglers- always complaining about this or that. Are you two really so stupid? Did you not recognize the lightsabers?" The human emitted a grunt of disgust. "I've been assigned to lead the two dumbest lizards in the galaxy..."

The human with the white mowhawk stopped. "Throw him in," he commanded. The Trandoshans acted accordingly, flinging the young Ospion Guardian onto the floor in front of the deactivated Force barrier. When Novus stood up shakily, the bigger reptile roared in pleasure, and kicked the human in the chest, hurling him into the cell.

The human with the mowhawk rolled his eyes, and turned on the power of the Force Cage, locking the Ospion inside.

Great, Novus thought. Now I'm locked in a Force Barrier...

[Uh-oh, we have Tartarus in this thread! Somebody go get Johnson and the Arbiter, ASAP.]
[And that makes me thinkl; this would be a good time for good ol' Hakim to be nabbed as well.]

The cathar laughed softly and beamed at Faan'tina as he hopped off the couch and onto his feet. "Alright. Let's go raid the kitchen and see if we can come up with something to fill your belly with." Hakim said, as he strolled towards the lounge's exit.

The smuggler froze in mid-step when he heard a distant hissing noise, coming from down the hallway he was about to step into. "That's weird, the only thing on this ship that hisses like that is the airlock..." He muttered, whilst stepping out into the corridor.

"But it only makes that sound when..." He was cut off when he felt a sharp pain his upper back, on his right shoulder. A grunt of pain slipped from his muzzle and he stumbled forward, clumsily grasping the doorframe for support at the same time. Suddenly, his vision started to blur, and he began to feel incredibly weak, like all his strength was being sapped from his body. A few moments later, and the cathar male's grip on the doorframe failed, and he went sliding down the frame and slumped over sideways into the lounge, where he lay unconscious.

A harsh male voice echoed into the lounge from the corridor afterwards, saying; "A'ight, that furry sack 'o bantha dung is out like a light. Find that pretty little Twi'lek he had with him; boss wants her too." A few moments later, grunted replies were heard, followed by heavy bootsteps that drew ever-closer to the lounge.

((Yeah, I just looked up Halo 2 cutscenes yesterday, and I saw the part where Tartarus and the two Brutes are bringing the Thel 'Vadamee -soon to be the Arbiter- to the High Prophets. =3))

Novus walked around in his cell, examining it, looking for weaknesses... No luck. All flat, smooth metal and ray shields, plus a Force-surpressing barrier. And an alarm. Novus rolled his eyes. They never gave him any peace.

"Hey, you stupid lizards! Are you two so spineless as to dump me in here without a fight?!"

They started to turn, strangling on expletives and curses, but then, a light tap. They looked down, to see the white-mowhawked human blocking their way with a light grasp on the huge hammer, his muscles quite evident.

"No, you imbeciles. He wants you to release him so he can kill you. Get back to your posts, or I'll have to kill you."

The two hulking Trandoshans rather timidly scuttled down the hallway, past a trio of bloodthirsty aliens, clawing at their enclosure, all seperated from each other by ray shields.

"Nice try, scum," the bulky human growled at Novus, as he strode away.

Faan'tina was just trotting pleasurably after Hakim, about to follow him into the hallway toward the kitchen, when the furry Cathar paused, listening to something. As Faan'tina waited, she heard it too; a small hissing sound creeping along the corridor, gradually increasing in volume. However, she was only puzzled for a moment, for Hakim abruptly cried out in pain, slamming his pawed hands on the door frame, his facial muscles tensed with the discomfort.

Faan'tina watched, her face riddled with horror as he slowly sank down to the polished floor, slumping over completely still, presumed unconscious. She was only a breath away from rushing to help him and assess the situation, when a gruff male voice croaked some wheezy insults toward her smuggler friend, then grumbling an order to some creatures behind him. A cold chill trickled down Faantina's spine, filling up her whole mind and soul with the fear, for she realized the heavy boot steps that were now moving steadily towards the lounge, were coming for her; she had to act fast.

Scrambling wildly to turn about, Faan'tina flew in a panic toward the crew's quarters, slamming carelessly into the door to her new bedroom. She mashed the door's button impatiently, glancing constantly over her shoulder to check the status of her potential attackers. The moment the door was wide enough open to allow entry, Faan'tina dove inside headfirst, jumping back off the floor to forcefully hit the button inside her room, slowly closing the door once again. Faan'tina rifled madly through any drawers she could get her slender green hands on, but being unable to locate any kind of weapon, she slipped hurriedly under the bed, scooting as close to the wall as she could go, and waiting there wide-eyed and fearful. She lay under the bed in complete silence, hardly daring to breathe, as the sounds of large boots echoed from the lounge nearby.

"She ain't in the lounge, boss!" One of the minions, a scrawny human male with short red hair and clad in badly dinged armor, shouted.

"Then turn over every couch, rip open every closet, tear up every hull panel, until you find her!" The group's leader, a hulking 6 foot tall human who looked as if he would have been a biker in another universe, thundered. "Sarjuk, go give that idiot a bit 'o help finding that girl. Tannith, grab furball by the ankles and drag him out to the speeder. If he starts to come around, shoot 'im again with the tranq gun."

Soon enough, Hakim's limp body was dragged away, while two heavily armed human men started to look around for Faan'tina. However, rather than start in the lounge, the two men moved directly to the crew quarters. "Come out come out, greenskin! Unless you want us to go outside and start cutting your friend's fingers off, one by one!" One of them yelled, while the other started jamming open the doors to the individual rooms.

"Yeah!" The room-clearing one agreed, pausing in his task for a moment to add in; "And if he runs out of fingers before you come out, we can always flay him alive! I hear Cathar pelts are in demand this time year! I wonder what he'd look like as a coat and a matching handbag!"

Faan'tina shuddered as images of furry purses and jackets danced in her mind; she couldn't bear to think of Hakim as some kind of sick, fashionable accessory. Praying that they were merely spewing threats in order to coax her out of hiding, Faan'tina stayed completely still under her bed, listening breathlessly to the oafs blundering about, spreading nasty remarks like butter on bread. As she listened, the whooshing sound of opening doors was getting closer. The pounding of her racing heart filled her ears; Faan'tina scrunched her eyes shut, shaking with fear, dreading what she knew was coming.

Finally, after several minutes of threats and searching, the two thugs finally came to the final room; Faan'tina's room. "A'ight, she's gotta be in here." One oaf muttered. The second one grunted in agreement, as he forced the door open.

Without bothering to try to draw her out, the two charged into the room, tranq guns at the ready. When their target wasn't immediatly spotted, the smarter of the two thugs kneeled down in the middle of the room, then bent his head down and peeked under the bed. "Well well well, cornered like a rat." He cackled, as he raised the tranq gun and discharged one dart directly at Faan'tina's torso, while at the same time his comrade kneeled by the bed to reach under and seize their prize as soon as she was unconcious.

Novus sat in his cell, leaning against the metal wall. He sighed, and then he heard a beep. Looking up, he saw the mowhawked human grin from outside the Force Barrier, and press a button. A small vent opened on the wall, and a metal platter with a blob of green... stuff.. and a bottle of slightly gray-tinted water.

"Dinner time, scumbag!" the human cackled. Novus fixed a glare upon the other human that could have withered a Wroshyyr tree.

"Oh, and if you do get out, by chance, my name's Tarkar'un. I'd appreciate a good fight."

"Then why don't you have one?! Come on, fight me, you disgusting, miserable whelp!" Novus hated being trapped, and would enjoy electrocuting Tarkar'un to death. The mowhawk seemed to irritate Novus, for some reason. It just seemed insolent.

"Yeah, well that might work on a stupid lizard, but not on me. Shut up and eat the sh*t."

How quaint.

Temis was trotting along the rooftops, headed back to his ship, when five heavily armed trandoshans and a human male dropped down infront of him from a speeder and pointed their guns at him. A human male stepped out infront of the Trandoshans

"Lord Kalka is very displeased with you assassin, we have recieved word that you don't have the head of your target."

Temis looked at him from under his cloack's hood.
"There was interference, but the man is dead, that will have to be good enough for Kalka, now get out of my way."

The man yawned, "No, I don't think so. FIRE"

The trandoshans opened fire on Temis, they were actually firing stun blasts he noticed. He flipped sideways as the bolts hit the ground were he had been standing. His dagger seemed to appear in his hand as he ripped it through the throat of one of the Trandoshans, then another. He tore through them, weaving around the slow moving stupid brutes. He killed the last one and turned to look at the human when he felt the stun bolts hit his back.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. Temis thought to himself, never show an enemy your back. Then he slumped down and his world turned into darkness

-------------------------

Temis awoke inside a force cage, his myriad of weapons on a table outside the cage along with his heavy black cloak. The only thing Temis was wearing was his skin tight versatile black armor.

"Hmmmm, this might take a little while to get out of."

As she listened in silence, Faan'tina heard one of the oaf's speaking just outside her door. She closed her eyes and hoped they would pass her by, but deep down she knew it was a lost cause. Sure enough, she could her the door slide open, and as she opened one eye cautiously, the big clunky boots were standing right by the bed she was under. Faan'tina could feel her heart beating faster; almost threatening to flee her chest. One of the blokes kneeled down, and Faan'tina's heart sank like a stone in a swimming pool. As she looked on in dismay, the man bent to her eye level, his face staring right at hers. "Well well well, cornered like a rat," he sneered, grinning nastily as he slipped some kind of blaster into view, aiming it right for her torso.

Faan'tina cried out, but it was too late. With nowhere to run to, she had no chance at avoiding the dart that was flying towards her. Striking with violent force, the projectile efficiently released it's paralyzing load upon Faan'tina's helpless body. Faan'tina gasped as a sharp hammer of pain shot through her nervous system, lasting only momentarily, before she was forced to give in to the blackness that was covering her vision.

[Aaaanndd... Movin' on to the prison.]

When Hakim came to, he found himself laying atop a stiff bunk within a prison cell of some sort. The cathar groaned and slowly sat himself up, turning sideways on the bunk and pressing his back to the cold duracrete wall so he'd have something to lean against. "Wha...? What happened?" He murmured to himself, wincing slightly as the shoulder that had been struck by the tranq dart throbbed with a dull pain.

"Your past mistakes caught up with ya, kid. That's what happened." A gruff voice answered from outside the cell's steel-bar door, prompting Hakim to direct his gaze to the door. "Oh, great. You again. Go away, before I'm blinded by the ugliness." The Cathar growled, a scowl appearing on his muzzle as he locked gazes with the human, the same one who had supervised his and Faan'tina's capture.

The human just grinned and turned to walk away, pausing only to casually remark; "Let's see just how smug yah are when the boss starts punishin' you an' your pretty lil' lady friend for crossing him."

"Leave her out of this, Quinn!" Hakim shouted back as he jumped off the bunk and faced the door, but the human had already strode off and left the Cathar there. "Dammit..." He swore under his breath, clenching his fists tightly. He wasn't at all worried about himself, but rather, about Faan'tina...
