Name: Vin Kalzburn
Alias: Vinnie
Occupation: Known Spice Dealer
Connections: Ken'dar's Thorn (Spice Dealer)
Threat Level: Armed and Dangerous
Wanted: Alive
Job Handler: Tarvax "The White Wampa" Kundo, Nar Haaska Chapter Leader
Job Purchaser: Yundeni Family of Yundeni Star Corporations
Job Award: 14,000 Credits
Job Description:
Vin Kalzburn is a small time spice dealer and mover for a minor gang known as Ken'dars Thorn. He was stationed on many of the Hutt Sector's more luxurious and tourist planets, selling spices to party goers and the like. It is believed that his gang helped to create a new special strand of spice that would leave victims powerless and hooked for more. The suspect sold spice to Jorum Yundeni, a promising young star in the Corporate Intergalactic Fleet sector, ruining his reputation and his family's name. The Yundeni corporation wants the man found and brought back to them alive.

It's suspected that he ran home to the spice den, a notorious catacombs of spice rooms, thugs, tweakers, and ruthless beasts that protect the gang's spice. The job difficulty is rated as: Deadly, but is only open to small time members of the guild (New Members) and some free-lance hunters.

So here I am..Tarrius thought to himself as he glanced out towards the large sprawling compound, hidden behind large blast walls and a thick durasteel door. The former vigilante wondered if it was all a front or if there truly was a sprawling castle of grime and scum hidden behind the walls. It had been nearly a year since the fall of The Shadow, the fall of his mission and everything he had once stood for, only to revert back to becoming a bounty hunter.

"You know..you're not so bad for a Drast," a soothing feminine voice responded from the right of the man.

Tarrius would turn to see the bright green eyes and matching green Le'kku of Ti'dami, a young and up and coming bounty hunter who had joined the Guild around the same time as Tarrius. She was snarky, crude at times, but was good with tech and droids and could handle a blaster as well as anyone. They had been partnered up and had only known each other for a few weeks, but Tarrius didn't mind her company--even if it left him with a headache at points.

"And you're smart for a tail-head," he would respond in his weird mixture of a Core and Outer Rim accent. "Do you suppose this other fellow will arrive soon and do you think he got the memo?" He would glance down towards his stained synth-wool shirt and baggy brown pants--he felt naked without the cover of a blast vest.

"I'm a holo-advertiser looking to make a name for myself and make some credits, I got a knack for hooking in clients and you two will be my gateway in." She responded with a short grin as her hand smacked against the bag, "Don't worry your armor is in here Tar."

He would nod, as he turned to look out towards the dusty road, waiting for their other hunter to arrive.

Jim had read the file on the target, it seemed like a good deal. A simple spice dealer for 14,000 credits. However when he learned that the dealer was holed up in a spice den, that was more akin to a underground fortress then a place for beings to enjoy illicit substances he was a little anxious. Despite this the credits were a tad too much to let up.

When Jim emerged from the road and found the compound he noticed the two beings standing in front of the door, his fellow hunters. He walked up behind them and said nothing as he looked at the large compound. He instantly felt the lack of his beaked armor and twin blasters. He was carrying them in a black bag however he still preferred to have them on his person at all times. Instead he was wearing simple synth-cloth pants and synth-cloth shirt, covered by his black cloak. He had some clothing covering his mouth and his regular floppy hat on his head. Thus only his burned hands and some of his burned face were visible.

Jim looked at the two beings in front of them, *They seem… fit enough* he thought. He walked up beside the male and looked over at him, and as a greeting simply lowered his head before looking up again.

After a moment passed Jim said in a raspy voice to the male hunter “So, I see we have the same entry plan, or do you normally go without armor?”

Kal glanced back towards the mysterious hunter, his eyes narrowing as he shrugged, "Well I would hope you wouldn't show up to a job like this with your armor on...their scouts and sniffers would have pointed you out klicks away," the former Vigilante responded in a sharp tone. "As for armor...It depends on the situation, I don't need armor to protect myself."

"Don't listen to him," Ti'dani responded as she slapped Tarrius against the shoulder. "He always gets like this before a job." She quip with a grin, "I'm Ti, that's Tar..ancestor of the first Sith Empress."

Tarrius would huff towards the remark, he always hated his bloodline and his name. "Not something we should be sharing out loud to strangers. Come on we have a job to do."

The group would cross the dust swept streets towards the large rusting blast doors. Ti would take the lead banging against the door. There would be moments of silence before a large robotic eye came jutting out of the door--its large eye shifting about the group. "I got two new junkies looking for a ride." She would respond with a grin, "Big spenders."

The eye would blink for a few moments before retracting. The iron doors would slowly open to reveal a group of armed guards with their blasters raised. A thick hulking alien would make his way towards the group, cracking his knuckles, "If you're going to try and rob us, you'd better come up with a better excuse," the leader would respond as he motioned for the men to surround the group. "Knock them out...We'll let the boss handle them."

Tarrius' eyes glared around as his hands moved up into a defensive stance as their stun prods were readied and struck him against his side. He would grunt as he felt his energy escape from his body--they should have thought of a better way to get in, he thought to himself as his eyes fell to darkness.

(I rolled a 14 out of a 100, so the mission is about to get a lot harder. But this should be fun. Feel free to write out resisting, but end up getting stunned!))

Jim looked at the female and at the male as she mentioned his bloodline. He seemed annoyed. Personally Jim did not care about Sith or Jedi. As long as he didn’t get dragged into their war, and he was not performing a bounty for them, they were irrelevant to Jim.

He walked next to the male as they approached the door. *I already hate this plan* Jim thought, as the eye looked at them and the female tried to lie and get them in. If she made one mistake they were dead. The eye retracted and the door opened to reveal guards armed with stun sticks.

In the second it took the lead guard to speak Jim jumped back and in one fluid motion unzipped his bag. As the guards ran forward he grabbed one of his blasters. However before he could use it a large ugly Guard was right in front of him. Jim tried to jump back again however the guard was too close. A stun stick to the chest brought Jim to his knees in pain. A kick to the head knocked him out cold.

When he came to in a dark cell, with his fellow Hunters, his head was throbbing and his chest was still on fire. He closed his eyes and waited a few minutes for the pain to dull. Once it had he looked around and found that the door to the cell was barred not solid. He stood up and walked over and peered through the bars. There was one lightly armored guard standing at the end of the hallway, her back to the hallway that the cell was located in.

Jim turned back to his fellow hunters and saw that they were still unconscious. He did not like hitting people, due to the pain it caused however, the sooner they wake up the sooner they can make a escape plan. He knelt in front of the male and slapped him three times in the face. “Wake up” Jim demanded in his raspy voice.

Everything had been so dark, his mind drifting along the void--was this what it felt like to be dead? There was a sudden pulsation that shook his nerves, followed by two more rapid thumps that sent his eyes jolting open and his muscles constraining as he lunged up to grab the man as his fingers tightened around his throat; letting up as he saw the vague burns across the man's face. "Where's Ti..." Tarrius would ask in a sharp tone as he shifted to see the outline of a green Twi'lek laying with their back towards them.

The former vigilante would make his way towards the alien, rubbing their shoulder and causing them to stir. His eyes would narrow as a square and aging face glanced up towards them, "Hands off e'chutta." The man's voice would growl--Ti wasn't here.

He would turn back towards the bars, glancing out to see several guards making their way into what he assumed was the containment area. Turning back towards the fellow hunter, "The bounty can wait," he would respond, "I'm going after her first...Are you in?" Tarrius would contemplate the implications on their decision.

((Feel free to state whether or not you want to go after the bounty first and then save Ti, or to save Ti first and go after the bounty second. I will have to do some dice rolls on our plans to escape, so feel free to make a suggestion on how you would like to escape as well))

When he grabbed Jim’s neck Jim gasped in pain. When he let go Jim angrily glared at him. He watched as his fellow hunter checked to see if his friend was the alien on the floor. It was not. Personally Jim believed that the man’s friend had set them up, not just failed at a simple lie, with that thought in mind the hunter asked Jim if he could help save her.

*Why would I be ‘in’* Jim thought angerly. He looked at his fellow hunter with narrowed eyes and said in his raspy voice “I came here to kill a spice dealer, and that is it. I am not ‘in’. Unless you want to go save her alone, you will come with me to kill our target. Then in return for your help I will go with you to save your little friend”.

The bounty hunter's teeth clenched as he turned around towards the arrogant companion, pushing him against the durasteel wall, "You might not be apart of the guild," Tarrius would spit, "But our vow states we can't kill another hunter." He would respond in a sharp tone as he loomed over the man--his brown eyes narrowing as he let out a few heavy whiffs of breath. His anger was building up inside of him.

"The contract wants him alive...not dead, get that through your skull e'chutta." The Drast would respond as he backed away from the man and towards the bars. There were ten guards lounging about within this wing of the holding area. They came from all regions of the galaxy, and were made up of a diverse cast of races, all laughing and smoking away at a bit of spice. There was a commotion from the other cells, signaling that there were other prisoners here with them.

"Will you two shut the kriff up," The Twi'lek responded with a snarl as he pulled against Tarrius' shoulder. Swinging him around to face the square faced alien.

Without a word, Tarrius would throw a jab into the man's stomach, taking the wind from the alien's sails. As he wound up for another punch, the fellow prisoner would shoot up with an upper cut--connecting against his chin and throwing him back. "I'm going to end you..." The Alien would respond as Tarrius stood up--both their hands drawn to fight; Tarrius didn't care if Jim joined in or not.

The hovertrucks jolted as they bounced across the open dusty road. The entrance of the compound was littered with guards. The three trucks stopped, and Cardinal frowned as the guards raised their blasters in the direction of the truck. When Cardinal had visited Vin, there weren't that many guards around. Maybe they were expecting something big. Nonetheless, Cardinal smiled as the captain of the guards walked up to the first truck where Cardinal was. Cardinal rolled down the window, "Howdy Frank! I'm here for my meeting with Vinnie. He's here right? I have his usual shipments of spice." Frank was one of Vinnie's closest member and the lead guard. Every time someone came to see Vin, they were escorted personally by Frank. "Yeah, he's ere'. Just had a bit of trouble around here, had some idiots try to sneak in." Frank straightened up and grinned, "Caught them little rascals too. Heard Vinnie's gonna punish em' real good." Cardinal was intrigued, "Huh, I wonder why they would do that? Someone trying to steal the spice?" Frank waved his hand dramatically, "Beats me man, 'fraid that's 'bove my pay grade. I'm gon' haf to check what ya got in the back naow." Cardinal nodded, "You go do that, just gonna offload and talk to good ol' Vinnie."

Cardinal went on his comm and told the drivers of the other two trucks, and the men in the back of the trucks that they were going to be checked. In a few minutes, the inspection was over, and the trucks were allowed to park. Cardinal's men got out, and began to unload the spices. Several of Vin's men came over to help unload the crates. One of Cardinal's top men came over to him, holding a datapad, "
Hey Boss, you should take a look at this." Cardinal took the datapad and skimmed through it. It was the bounty for Vinnie. So those "idiots" weren't going to steal the spice after all. Cardinal thought. That explained the heavy guard presence. He wondered yet if Vinnie knew he had a bounty on his head. Cardinal smiled, change of plans after all. Cardinal pointed to several men and told them to follow him. "Lets go me my cousin Vinnie, shall we?" They were escorted into the compound, and on the way in, they passed through the detention center. The group stopped, Cardinal had a grin on his face, "Well looke what we have here. Afternoon' folks." Cardinal appreciated bounty hunters. Hell, Cardinal had helped the BHG several times. Cardinal bent down, and he had a generic pick in his hand, he casually threw it into the cell. He hoped they knew what to do with it. "Hey, let's get a move on." Frank said. The group continued to the office of someone's cousin, Vinnie.
