"Your eyes are needy, but absent of thought; and next to the sagging lines of your face, the grey in your thinning hair, and the sad slope of your stomach over the brim of those pants, it paints a clear picture of a man forgotten by this galaxy the moment he was born.

But that wouldn't be polite to say just because I think it.

Now, ask me again to smile?

Nalu has been and done many things in her life, and she isn't terribly interested in "telling you about it". Try having your own life first, and maybe she may want to give you some of her time. She'll let you know.

A ferociously intelligent being, attention from Nalu Fibuna is exceedingly hard to come by. She is smarter than you, and will not be impressed by you. Try, and you doom yourself forever to being written off. Nalu is an impeccable judge of character, capable of seeing straight through anyone. Despite this, she still enjoys company. The trick is finding people she can stand. On a first impression, she is much more likely to warm to the blue collar citizens of the verse, as her experience reveals them to be more emotionally earnest and open with them selves.

Nalu takes excellent care of herself, has no respect for anyone who do not, and rarely dresses in anything very revealing when on her own time. Her taste for the finer things is unparalleled, and when she needs to talk to people, she does so with perfected charm and manners rivaling aristocrats from any world. She is also fluent in 8 languages, and understands most she cannot phonate. Nalu fits in everywhere and nowhere all at once, and that's the way she liked it.

If by some miracle you manage to earn her affection, you are truly in luck. Nalu is loyal to a fault to those close to her, and ferociously protective of them. Such is the nature of her long standing friendship with DIva Tumi, for whom she is a business partner, and personal assistant.

She takes work seriously. No matter how trivial, Nalu has never held a job at which she did not deliver a superior performance. Her illustrious and varied careers and skill set span , but are not limited to the following:

Master Splicer
Model
Tinkerer/ mechanic
Exotic Dancer
Demolitions expert
Accounting
Back up singer
Pilot
Notorious Thief
Concierge
Dock worker
Raccetuer
Senatorial Aid
Full Partner/owner and manager of operations for Proletariat Lounge in Coruscant's undercity,

Nalu can handle most firearms with average proficiency, but rarely carries a blaster, and prefers a scatter-blaster is she must.

She always carries a collapsible stun baton, and thin stiletto style vibro-knife hidden on her person, and is a surgeon with both.

Nalu's droid is built entirely by her, though he looks like a factory model. His leg design allows for advanced bipedal maneuverability, with and incredible leaping distance, and she often sends him on long errands. She also wrote all his programming, and he serves functional in all the usual roles provided by navigation/repair and protocol units. He is also programmed for security, and is proficient with mounted blaster.

While a clever bit of engineering for one woman, his "personality is rather dim." He is not terribly independent or vocal, outside of monitoring Nalu's well being. He normally relies on her for instruction, much of which is handled via datapad.

A small compartment in his chassis holds her spare tools, or sensitive items. His left arm conceals a heavy blaster with a stun setting that is rarely used. His most notable equipment is the incredible transmitter built into his hardware. He is Nalu's portable Holonet reciever, and with him present she can usually access most nearby signals without plugging in.

BIOGRAPHY

Momma didn't want her little girl in the mines. She lost her father there, her brother, and shortly after Nalu's birth, her husband. Working in the mines herself she, spent every thin credit to keep Nalu apprenticed in town with whomever would take her. Luckily, the young Twi'lek was soon earning her own keep, and, in fact, put food on Mother's table. Nalu was astute, and had her mother's ethic. Many called her "Laruni Nalu", which roughly translates from Ryl to "Smarty Tails Nalu".

There were many locals who went years not realizing Laruni was a girl. She built and tinkered on the machines all day, and when she played, she played rough, always gaming and at sports with younger boys. Then she started to grow up, and the boys would rather watch her run and dance than play themselves. Boring. This didn't last long though, soon the slavers came.

The Twi'leks here knew it was inevitable. The mines were running dry, and corporate owned; it was a common tragedy on Ryloth. The Corporate security moved out, and slavers were there within 2 days; but on that day in between, a few final crates of ore and equipment left their village. The two women gave everything they had to be sure Nalu was on one.

Finding work was easy for her. She skilled and tenacious, and continued her habit of absorbing everything around her. She took money where it came, and enjoyed the luxury of leaving a job when she grew tired of it. Nalu enjoyed many luxuries. She was smarter and more capable than almost everyone around her, so why shouldn't she?

As a young woman, her tastes and ego finally got the better of her. No one was there to offer her practical wisdom, and it was unlikely she would have listened if they were. She was simply too good. Lovers were taken and left like small meals. By day she was a concierge by evening a dancer, by night a genuine thief. This was all well and good until it became apparent that some clientele had expectations that went beyond rational. Things she couldn't solve with elbow grease or well crafted charm became increasingly common. It was only a matter of time before she got trapped. Then she met Diva.

Diva Tumi was the first true kindred spirit the young Twi'lek met. Their independence was both taught and earned, and they shared a certain hunger for life that seemed bottomless. While Nalu was hard nosed and precise her theelin counterpart was unrestrained and blunt. They had been working together disdainfully for sometime before Diva's muscle cut Nalu loose from a mutual enemy. The two women took their time to bond, and often went their own ways, but by fate or design they always found each. A rare pocket of warmth in a maddening galaxy.

As she grew older, Nalu's discovered her deep pleasure in keeping proximity to power. She enjoys being as close as she can, while keeping herself out of the actual spotlight. The shadows seem to have always fit her intellect. Thus began her flirtation with politics. It wasn't hard for her to get work as an aid, and once she was in the bullpen, the top brass were quick to notice her uncanny ability to rise to the top, often without allowing her colleagues to notice. She fit in well here.

Nalu served various roles on the staff of a half dozen senators and ambassadors, often becoming the subject of a bidding war. For a time, she took a hiatus to assist her adorably hopeless Diva in running her own enterprises (in exchange for full partnership of course); but after Diva vanished without a trace, Nalu was heartbroken, and found it challenging to stay present at their club. Then the Galaxy took a turn, Coruscant was sacked, and it was overall time to move on. Fortunately, someone had remembered her from time skulking about the backrooms of the senate chamber, and her best job off yet arrived just in time. Off to Mandalore she went.

Treat her right, pay what she's worth, and promise intrigue, and maybe someday you can have the best help in the galaxy too. Just don't let her get bored...
