Nakaz Aros silently padded into one of the Temple's many gardens. He was supposed to meet his new master here, so he walked over to the a polished white-marble bench, and sat down, examining an exotically beautiful vine that wrapped around a pillar supporting a small gazebo roof.

The young Aleena was incredibly alien to most of the galaxy- he stood at a mere 3 feet and 5 inches, and he had four digits on each hand. His head was elongated, stretched in a backward curve, and his sking was a stange blue-grey for the most part, and tan on his face, chest, and the bottoms of his arms and legs. He had a frilled jaw, and his eyes were strange for an Aleena... They were completely white, save for the obsidian pupils.

At the time, Nakaz wore a nondescript, light tan tunic with white pants and reddish-brown leather strips wrapped around his lower arms and legs, and on the bottom of his feet, leaving his clawed toes uncovered. The young Aleena wore a training saber at his waist, and he had his hand on a small, withering plant. Soon it slowly regained color, and stiffened to a less depressing position, spreading its buds.

He had always had a way with plants.

Some said that it was fate that bound a master and an apprentice together. Others said it was talent or "luck." Whatever the case may be Anaru had found himself an apprentice already at the young age of 26. He had felt bound to serve the order and he wanted an apprentice so he waited for 2 long years before finally choosing Nakaz Aros. He had watched this Aleena for a year before deciding to mentor him. His fanaticization with plants and botany had spurred Anaru to teach him.

"The gardens here in this temple truly are beautiful aren't they?" Said Anaru as he came up behind Nakaz silently.

"Do you know who I am?" Asked Anaru with a benign smile at his new student.

Nakaz started, but then regained his composure and raised one eyebrow ridge as his new master spoke. He replied, without turning.

"I have to agree. They contain specimens from many different planets, some quite exotic."

He turned to face the Jedi behind him. "Yes. Anaru. I know your appearance because you've watched me for over a year, and the archives are quite useful if you have a description of someone."

"Excellent. Then we know each other well enough and can proceed from here. Come." He said as he motioned for him to follow him into the gym in the great jedi temple.

"As a jedi you have to have upper body strength. Now, I know your species struggles in this area which is why I have come to the gym first. I want to teach you how to do 50 pushups well. If you do this exercise daily then rapidly you will make up for your weakness in uppper body strength. Here is the proper way to do a pushup."

Said Anaru while straightening his legs together, and pushing his hands up so they lined up with each other, and his body went down. "See how my chin is pointed up? When doing this exercise on your own make sure your chin is lifted up. Then when you're ready pop all the way up and repeat the exercise!" Said Anaru as he did 50 pushups rapidly and turned to his apprentice.

"Now I want to see you try."

Nakaz popped his neck and stretched his arms. This should be fun. He lowered down into the correct position, and lowered himself down. He slowly pushed up, straining his arm muscles, trying to push up. He did it thirteen more times, then stopped, looking up at his Master.

"With or without the Force?"

"Without. Otherwise you aren't building any muscle at all." Said Anaru as he realized that this would be harder on his apprentice. He certainly hoped that this would inspire him to do it everyday so that he could get better.

Nakaz braced himself slightly, and began doing more pushups...

-----

OOC/ You know, Aleenas are weaker than most, but they're not that frail... No offense, but Anaru's stepping around Nakaz as if he's made of glass, but Kazdan Paratus did a powerful, face-to-face combat form, and Tsui Choi practiced acrobatic Ataru...

((Well I did a cursory glance at your characters profile and some of the complains I read against your race is that they tend to be weak. I'll try to read through your profile entireally to get a full glance at who he is, along with his strengths and his weaknesses. Okay, I'll revise the training process according to your new information that you've handed me.))

Anaru was suprised as Nakaz finished the pushups rapidly without the use of the force. "Well done. You are better than most students I have seen. I've always felt like pushups are a great way to begin the day or a teaching lesson. Now, let us move onto greater things."

Anaru took his young apprentice into a new room that had rivers flowing in it and birds chirping, and the screeching sounds of tamed animals moving all throughout the nearby area. Then he turned to his padawan and addressed him saying "I want you to focus on one item or person. Drown out all these other noices and focus on that person or item. Tell me when you have acheived this task."

This task was necessarry because many a time, had Anaru had to think on one thing and when he arrived in noisy bars or cantinas that was extremely difficult even for an expert.

((OOC/ Thank you. =3))

Nakaz replied absently, "Yes, master," and looked at a small reptile, intrigued by the color of the scales and the bright blue frill atop its head. He stared at it in an attempt to block the noise from his mind- to no avail. He inhaled deeply, rolling his eyes in frustration. He tried again.

This time, the young Aleena managed to mostly complete it. The quieter noises were only a whisper, and the louder ones were by far more muffled. He looked at the creature's tail. It had a blue tip. After about thirty more seconds, he became distracted by a bright yellow and purple avian, and he lost his concentration for a second before snapping his gaze back to the lizard.

"Calm your mind. Be one with your surroundings and then you will find the way. Only then will you acheive total peace."

His master's second sentence struck Nakaz like a slap in the face. At peace with his surroundings... He was doing it the wrong way! Nakaz was trying to block it all out.

The Aleena now welcomed in all the noise and chatter. After a few seconds, it seemed to bot bother his mind. He now looked at the lizard while only expending a fraction of the energy required the other way. He then turned to his master, a calm smile pervading his alien features.

"Satisfied?"

"For now. You have reached a degree of balance and perfection. It needs to be perfected so that you can hold that connection between you and the object for a longer period of time." Abruptly Anaru walked out of the room and his padawan followed him to a room that was full of motionless dummies. Some of the dummies were sitting in a booth that resembled a cantina, others were standing and facing towards each other. In the middle of it all was a big red dummy that was easy to see.

Then he turned to his padawan and said "Too many times have jedi died because they do not have proficient skills to defend themselves when they are without a lightsaber. Take one of the blasters on the wall when I press this button here, which will cause the dummies to move. I want you hit the red dummy without scathing any of the other dummies that are moving around him. Focus on your target and you will see clearly. Be at one with your surroundings and eliminate everything that stands in your way of success." With that Anaru pressed a button and the dummies (including the red one) moved and shuffled in between each other.

((Hope you don't mind the God-modding. It was necessary for this exercise. A cantina is like a bar just in case you didn't know. :) But if you're confused by anything in this exercise just let me know.))

OOC/ I actually think that Anaru's training methods are the most fun I've had in a Jedi Training. JM76(Jedi Knight Chester Ducere) is good and all, but Veren never had this much fun.
------
BIC/

Nakaz shook his shoulders, and lifted the blaster pistol calmly. He felt the Force rush into his hand, guiding the pistol. A flash of crimson light, a loud bang, and a shower of sparks occured all within two seconds.

The red dummy kept moving, albeit lacking its head. Only one of the white dummies had a singe mark from where the blaster bolt had flown by.

Nakaz smiled, and turned to his master. "You need to know sharpshooting on Aleen. We have some of the most vicious, stealthy animals in the galaxy, and we commonly need to snipe them where we'll hurt them, but not kill them. A good sharpshooter is a good Aleena."

((Cool I try to enjoy myself while I teach. :D))

Anaru sit back and smiled. "You have a good eye my padawan. Although I did notice that one of the other dummies got singed a little bit. Even in the tightest of situations that can cause enough distractions and then chaos can ensue, endangering your life. Before you aim let the force take control of your body 100% and it can do the work from there. Trust in the force and it will never fail you my padawan. That is todays lesson, come back to me tommorrow when you have pondered over your new information and gotten a good nights sleep. May the force be with you." Said Anaru as he bowed out of the room and left his young padawan to think about everything that had occurred.

((Heh, I'm planning tommorrows lesson. Try not to rush it too soon, otherwise I won't have as many good options for you.))

Nakaz walked over to a window, looking out. It was getting dark. He turned to the door, and walked to the gardens. His rooms were nice, but the gardens were what he preferred. The young Aleena walked into one of the more scenic gardens, and sat down in the thick, green grass.

His eyes closed, and he entered a period of meditative peace. His mind reached out to the plants, touching their primitive minds, making contact. He opened his eyes several minutes later, and he walked over to a particularly hideous bush.

"Well, you may be ugly outside, but on the inside, you're the most beautiful one I know..."

He touched one of the purplish thorns on the side, and let the force flow from his finger to the plant. A single lavendar flower snaked out of the spiked bush, emitting a sweet fragrance.

After an hour or two in the gardens, it grew incredibly dark. Nakaz reluctantly left for his quarters, entering the rooms through the window two stories above the beautiful gardens. He madesure no one was in there, and he walked to his cot. The Aleena opened his duffel bag, and pulled out a large jar, holding a bizzare-looking creature floating in the greenish mineral liquid.

"Well, how are you doing?" he asked the baby sarlaac. "I have a feeling that you'll grow up nice and big... Soon, all too soon."

------
OOC/ Yeah, Nakaz Aros is holding in his hands the Mega-sarlaac which will eventually live on Felucia. He found it in the swamps of Aleen, and he's eventually going to drop it off on an unknown, Force-rich planet(an as-yet-undiscovered-Felucia)

But not in an RP. I'll just allude to it, because Felucia is forbidden.

Bright and early Anaru got up and decided to sit and wait for his padawan in the main lobby. It was nice and quiet in the morning and he hoped that his apprentice would come to appreciate the temple for what it was even if it did get lonely from time to time. Todays lesson was going to be very interesting and unique.

Nakaz woke up after a decent night's sleep. He went into a short meditation to refresh himself, and donned his tunic. When he walked down the hallways, the human Padawans all shuffled by, hair sticking out in all directions.

Nakaz put his hand to his hairless head involuntarily, glad to not have a ridiculous plume of hair like humans.

He ate his breakfast and entered the main lobby, only to discover his Master sitting on a bench, with his back to the Padawan. Doing his best to sneak past his master- for he knew he would immediately be given a task- into the Archives, he pushed some of his Force Energy to the outside of a window, making a slight rustle in the Force. He slipped behind a table and towards the Archive doors.

"Where are you going Nakaz? Do you have something more important to do today than training?" Asked Anaru as his strong connection to the force felt his apprentice near him and acted as a radar. "Do my lessons bore you?"

Nakaz sighed. "No. I just wanted to look something up in the archives before my lessons."

"Feel free to do so. No one is holding you back." Said Anaru with a smile as he sat back and replied while walking away "Meet me in room 300. I wish to speak to you about lightsaber combat. I feel that the time has come for me to tell you about the styles and the inner mechanics of lightsaber usage. I will be ready whenever you feel that you are done with your reading."

Anaru left him quickly and entered room 300. It was a huge room that was surrounded with desks and chairs. There were boards to write information on and the room was so massive that there was even an exercise corner where they had weights and exercising machines. Instead of the fanciful objects Anaru chose to sit on the ground and get in his meditative stance. Then, he just let the force flow through him and with him as he waited for his padawan to arrive. This was his mission for his padawan; to have a better connection with the force than Anaru has.
