Civil War rages across the idyllic world of the Naboo, and in the chaos there are those who would seek to make moves of their own. Renowned Criminal, Zeff Exarch has decided to make a move against the head of the Black Boonta Gang in the Theed Waterfront - a group that controls the movement of Black Market Goods through the Sector.

Sending a Bounty Hunter in - fresh blood in the game, Zeff discovers that the Hunt is not going as planned. However, ever one to want to watch his investment, the Criminal has come in person, accompanied by famed Hunter Ners Ordo. As tensions mount and more players enter the field, could a new conflict erupt on Naboo - not one of Nobles, but of Villains?

Theed used to be such a lovely place, or at least that was what the brochures said. Ners crumpled one of them up and chucked it into a nearby bin - smirking as he read the top of the nearby tourism poster which set the image of Naboo, and Theed in particular, as the best place in the known Galaxy. Looking around now, it seemed hard to think that was still true. Evidence of looting and street fights ran rampant - a few of the buildings had been gutted by fire, it was clear to Ners that Naboo was still very much in the grips of war, and their Jedi protectors had done next to nothing to stop it.

Such things however were of little concern to him, and it was not the ongoing conflict that had brought him here, rather it was the man he was set to meet. He had simply gone by the name ‘Z’ in all their comms, and Ners was not entirely sure as to who he was, only that he had promised to pay well. Naturally, Ners had been all too happy to oblige, and as he headed to the landing bay, he was keen to see who he was working for. ‘Z’ had requested he come prepared for trouble, and Ners had done his best to not disappoint. He was wearing his armour, of the Rim Scout make, with the helmet adapted into a set of goggles, scarf and neckpiece with the same features, cut in the colour blue of his Mandalorian House.

On each hip he sported a Sunspear Heavy Blaster, with two D-15ps on the back of his belt. Two short bladed Vibro-Blades crossed his back, and in his hands he held an MD-12 Shotgun, a collection of thermal detonators and smoke grenades in a bandoleer on his chest. It was safe to say he had come prepared. Checking his wrist mounted commlink to confirm he was at the correct location, he stepped into the docking bay to meet the mysterious ‘Z’.

OOC - This is a death disabled thread between Status Gold, Dara and myself, with Herrith NPCing for us. The thread is ASK, with Sangga able to enter or to send members of his Naboo faction to respond to the events of the thread as it develops.

THEME

The black winged craft heralded the storm that followed. Gently a drop fell on the cobbled roads of Theed and the copper roofs before it turned into an overcast deluge. The assault craft swung low into view having come in for a landing faster than what was considered safe. It landed like a predatory beast patiently waiting its master to dismount. The Axion assualt craft was an abnormal vessel for the otherwise peaceful planet to witness but there were many unprecedented events unfolding. The inside of the ship opened up, green light spilling from within casting the Nagai that exited the craft in a silhouette.

Zeff was bedecked in finely crafted black leather with a long cloak to keep him dry. While he was only a Two Ring boss of the Shadow Syndicate his personal endeavors and war profiteering had been successful long before joining the criminal organization. If there was profit in it, he dealt in it. Two force-forged bone swords jutted from his back where they were sheathed. It was in a manner that looked like he was an avian beast that had it's wings cut off and torn to the bone. His two lightsabers hung on either side, occasionally glinting from the distant flames of burning buildings as they swayed with each step.

Hidden at the small of his back was a force forged knife and like the bone swords it was made from his own hands. His boots barely made a sound with either step thanks to both his experience in espionage as well as the falling rain. Either arm had a brace that barely glowed with power. Taping his left forearm with his right index finger the ship closed behind him. The dark cloak suited more than to just keep him dry, it would also aid in keeping the rest of his kit hidden though it appeared he wore no armor.

Having sealed his ship up the two Krath Droids would guard his ship until he returned. His astromech and utility droid also had been programmed to take directions from him and take off if need be. Removing the hood over his head he would look into Ners face to face for the first time. "Enjoying the sights?" He said with a slight smirk knowing much of the city was damaged and in chaos.

The man sat in his penthouse, enjoying some wine as normal. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Just a normal evening. His guards checked in through a small intercom. Everything as usual. Except for the war. All out war on Theed not a week ago. It was surreal. The governments will fight their wars, however...and he will profit. Refugees looking to get smuggled out of the city with less legal means...even spices being escorted away.

He would do all. And the people who knew him would revere him as a hero.

Naboo was quiet. Not deserted or abandoned, but quiet, at least compared to the huge, sprawling megacities of the core worlds. As Letiak walked down the cobbled street, understandably he got a few queer looks from the citizens of the idyllic world: clad in Stalker Armour, on his back he was sporting an FRAB 22 sniper, and on his utility belt, in the small of his back was his B-8R blaster pistol, just in case things went awry.

Despite the odd looks, he continued through the long, winding streets of Naboo towards his destination. It would not be long now.

Sorry for the short post and delayed reply, I've got exams coming up so I'm a little slow. Should be over soon, though.

’’This place is a dump.’’ Ners replied, his voice monotonous, his boredom clear. ”Pretty sure it’s just Plasma Mines and the natives.’’ he added, unimpressed with what was meant to be one of the Galaxies most desirable planets. He turned to face his employer, not reacting the panoply in which he was adorned - Ners could safely say he had seen stranger sights.

’’You know if your man is here yet?’’ he asked, checking to see if he had to do anything just yet. ”From what I can see, the local Gang may be a little better equipped than perhaps we had expected, after all, War makes it much easier to secure weapons.’’ he commented, gesturing to the burned out building just down the road.

Leaving the Glaive behind the Nagai accompanied the human through the damp streets. He had seen media of the planet but it was now a far cry from what had been advertised elsewhere. "He's here. A crab does not easily depart from its stack of stones. Zeff was confident that his quarry was here. There had been little opposition in terms of black marketeering on Naboo. It was why the Black Boonta Gang had been able to monopolize it so easily. Now he was here and so was conflict.

"New money tends to keep close to its interests. What is the most ostentatious but relatively safe location around these parts? he inquired with his gaze moving around. He hoped the answer did not come back as one of the underwater cities belonging to the gungans. The Nagai had no desire to swim today. He did not see any of the gangsters present so they would continue to go deeper into the city until they saw some sign. "It would help if I had someone to interrogate" In truth it was probably a sliver away from being torture depending on his mood. Zeff's words were an indication that Ners was to keep his eye pealed for any sign of the competition.

All was quiet, except for the occasional drumbeat of AA batteries firing into the sky or the occasional rumble from a battle, far off. It was nothing to be scared of, surely, his hideout had been fortified far too well and his guards could easily pass as well-equipped troops, despite some wearing pieced together armor of different sources, such as Lifeline armor scavenged from NRSF armories, or similar common and mid-grade armor such as that. Their blasters were even more of a variety, some using low-quality items that looked like they could break at the first blast all the way up to high-class manufacturers. It depended on the user, and whoever was bravest in raids...

Guards were posted up on the rooftop with a variety of sniper weapons and a single rocket launcher, constant patrols paced throughout the building and a small gathering of gang members stood outside of the front door of the four-story building, protected behind sandbags and oil barrels filled with dirt and rubble.

The place had an Achilles' heel, however: despite the guards, the roof was most accessible, as only one level down was the penthouse itself, with minimal guards on the top with the reasoning that nobody would take notice of an almost empty roof and that the NRSF and the Alliance would think it was just a refugee building or the like.

And so, the hunt began...
