"Come to Club Kluen, we're all going! It'll be a blast!" Lucy Kendran's friends told her.
They weren't wrong.
It was so late that it was getting early. It'd taken nearly an hour to queue for this stupid club, leaving Lucy and her friends shivering in the cold Coronet winds. She wanted nothing more to go back home, slink into bed and pull the covers over her head but no, she had to be social. That's what her therapist said, anyway. By the time they finally got to the door and were waved in by a bored looking Devaronian, the place seemed to be in full swing. Packed with the party-folk of Coronet City, trying to enjoy themselves.
Fortunately, Lucy had volunteered herself as the sensible one and promised not to drink, just to make sure everyone else could get home safe. Fine with her. She pushed through the sweaty, close crowd to get to the bar, ordering a sparkling water. Sipping on it leisurely, wondering how her weekend had come to this. A long night of being shoved around, expensive taxi rides and holding Hulli's hair back beckoned.
BLAM! BLAM!
The blaster fire cut through the music like a lightsaber through flesh. Lucy's head whipped round towards the dancefloor. There was a second's pause, as if the whole club was frozen solid. Then, chaos. Hordes of people, screaming and shouting, rushing and pushing, desperate to charge off the dancefloor. The people around her, at the bar, scrambled from their seats, leaving Lucy to stare. In a fit of pique, she moved off the seat and towards the floor, eyes widening as she saw what'd happened.
A dead Twi'lek girl. Blaster fire on her chest, her purse lying beside her with it's contents scattered. She looked up and saw no signs of a blaster. No obvious signs of a perpetrator. Just people trying to get out, as the doorguy and the managers fought to control the situation. Something about the dead girl's face bothered Lucy; she couldn't quite put her finger on it. It didn't click for a good moment. She'd seen her before.
Oh shit. She was on The Core's Next Top Model.
"Come to Club Kluen, they said," Lucy complained quietly, as she stood with her hands on her hips. Though she had to admit, it was turning out a lot more interesting than she could've imagined.
Looking for a couple of people to help solve a murder. Nothing fancy, mainly a character intro thing.
