"This thing is broken." Kalo said to himself for the hundredth time. He was waiting in the super-elevator that would take him to the Casino-Resort. Sitting in front of him was a clunked out astromech droid, with black and green paint job. It had been refusing to start since Kalo had bought the damned thing, but he was determined to get it working again. He was so possessed with fixing this droid, he seemed to not at all be in wonder to the giant elevating platform he stood on. Maybe in a galaxy of starships, an underwater casino seemed lackluster.

==[LUXURY SUITES]===
For those that had arrived on the last elevator, Gonto Viggoro was already leading attendants to their rooms. The Aqualish had a shaky grasp on speaking Galactic Basic Standard, but seemed to understand everything fine.

"I feel naked in this." Tala said to herself, very discretely hidden under her breath. "How did I ever wear stuff like this?" The mirror before her showed a young, attractive Twi'lek, dressed in a fine pale blue dress, complementing both her skin and the acquatic scenery. She could just feel some of the others cracking jokes at the scene. It wasn't practical at all, and it felt like her face would eat floor every time she took a step. But, unfortunately, the resort offered the perfect alibi to get a good look underwater, and the management wouldn't be very kind to a fully armed and armored mandalorian walking about under the sea, disturbing the guests. And so, this situation came to be. Tala scoffed before turning full circle and striding to the door of the rather elegant underwater suite, exiting into the hallway. Just a short trip through the casino to the equipment rental area, and she could put on some damn armor. Although, the hold out strapped to her leg did offer some small comfort.

The last time he was Manaan, Ral had to arrest a rebel intelligence agent on suspicion of being an Imperial Spy. Of course, it wasn't so simple, and he had to deliver the agent back to the Corusca for the Rebellion to figure out what the situation was. It was a short trip, and Ral hadn't really gotten the chance to enjoy the planet at all. It seemed like Ral only had time for business for a long while. Between the Rebellion and the clan, Ral had very little free time. And outside a few excursions here or there, ones usually involved with business of some kind, he hadn't taken any time for himself.

And now he was here, standing outside of the suite where his companions was getting ready. Without his aliit'gam armor, Ral felt somewhat exposed, but as Tala had brought up to him before they headed there, wearing armor wouldn't have been wise. A Mandalorian walking around in their customary suit of armor was likely to set people on edge, cause suspicion, and people to talk. And that was exactly what neither Ral or Tala wanted. So, he stood outside Tala's suite, which was placed right next door to his own, waiting for her to exit. Ral was in a steel-blue shirt and trousers, both were of a fairly classy design, but also simple. It was nice for him as it was made out of a rather rare and exquisite linen from a planet he had long forgotten, but it looked quite nice on him, as well as being comfortable and breathable. And the best part was that it only took a few minutes to get into, one of the dew benefits about being a man at social events he would guess. Tapping into the pistol hidden in his knee high boots with the toe of the opposite foot, Ral made sure his emergency weapon was still there. A nervous habit of his.

Then Tala exited her room, and he smiled, standing up from the wall he was leaning on. "Well, you sure took your time. You look nice though, are you ready to go?" He asked as he extended his arm to the grey Twi'lek female.

Tala rolled her eyes at his gesture, smirking at him. She had grown acustomed to his charming little quirks. Tala decided to humor him, this one time. She took his arm in a formal gesture, striding down the hall with him in tow. "We're here to scout for a suitable location for an outpost. Not to charm." Her tone was joking, with a hint of serious. They where really on a mission, and she was not going to have her fellow soldier lounging on the job.

[FIVE-THOUSAND FATHOMS CLUB]

It felt weird smoking underwater, almost like the smoke should just get stuck, not float away like on the surface. He flicked his eyes up to the smoke above the table, hanging there like a dank fog before checking the faces of his enemy for their tells. The rancher opposite him, a man who made a killing in the Nerf trade had folded already, whilst the gentleman to his right, a former senator was sweating like a nerf on heat.

The last man, well - he was unreadable. He sold guns for a living and had nerves of adamantium. Sly Jones puffed out another vast cloud of smoke from his Cigar, and looked at his cards. 4 Aces. He wiped his brow, feigning distress, and shifted in his seat, before saying.

''Hell, I'm all in.'' and pushed the remaining stack of chips across the table. He sighed as he did so, watching as the Gun Seller smirked, and went all in also. The man laughed, and showed down four Kings, laughing with a gravelly deep sound as he did so, and taking a drink of whiskey.

Sly Jones stubbed out his cigar, and tossed his cards on the table. ''Four aces boy.'' he said, oozing confidence, as he dragged the chips over toward him and stood up, carrying the plush bantha hide bag filled with his chips. He tipped his hat, and walked off toward the bar.

''You better watch yourself boy.'' snarled the Gun Trader.

''You better watch your cards and credits, boy, might make you richer.'' came the retort.

An obnoxious sound --somewhere between a honk and a series of grunts-- came from the hallway.

"What was that? You think I don't understand Aqualish? You oversized rat, I'll have your job!" came a reply. The voice had an air of entitlement. "Do you know who I am? My husband owns half of the stops from here to Bespin!"

The grunting replied before the Aqualish switched to English. "I promise, meant no offense ugly-skin. My Basic-- not very good." he grunted. His voice sounded harsh, but above all it was slow and unwieldy.

"How DARE you! You uncultured savage, insulting a lady in front of your guests!" the woman shouted back. "I am Ereena Fasaj! I will not be talked down to by some uneducated walrus!"

==[Five Thousand Fathoms Casino]===

As Sly Jones left the table he was intercepted by a Selkath wearing a suit. It was an odd sight, but considering the locale, maybe he had wanted to fit in. His name tag read "Shora", and his position of Casino Overseer.

"Very good hand back there, I saw. Here, this is a voucher for free steak at the Regal Dining Hall." he said in (surprisingly) clear Galactic Basic, handing over a pale voucher ticket. "Here at Five Thousand Fathoms take great strides to make sure our winners are properly celebrated."

Okay, so admittedly this wasn’t Corto’s wisest decision. Gambling was one of his few true vices, but the fact was he enjoyed it, and the fact that it was one of his few outlets from his life of violence and death meant that even though he typically tried to stay away, he occasionally allowed himself to indulge.

His night began down on the casino floor, where a variety of species and people were gathered winning and losing their money. For obvious reasons he had forgone a full combat load out of weapons and armor and instead opted for a much subtler set of clothes.

He wore plain civilian looking clothes, though they were actually made of armorweave, with a spacers leather jacket. Despite the casino’s no weapons policy, he took advantage of the lack of weapon detectors and wore a shoulder holster that held his custom Verpine shatter pistol plus two spare magazines, while his karambit was strapped to the small of his back. All of these were totally covered by his jacket and he intended to keep it that way. Besides, in the event that he needed them, he wasn’t planning on sticking around to answer to hotel security.

The sound from a nearby table reached his ears as a man with a rather impressive mustache laid down his cards and confidently proclaimed four aces. Corto’s eyebrows raised in surprise at the hand. Statistically the odds were something like 1 in 54,000. He silently wondered if the man was cheating and made note to be wary lest he find himself playing cards with him later on.

His attention was stolen away moments later by the sound of ringing bells and flashing lights as credits came pouring out of one of the nearby slot machines. Another winner. Maybe they really do have the most jackpots anywhere, he thought humorously to himself. He gave a slight smile. Even so, I can guarantee the house always comes out on top.

He had yet to play a round on the casino’s floor, but knew that when he did, it would likely be sabacc. He preferred a game that actually involved some skill rather than simply pulling the handle on a machine and crossing your fingers.

For now, it was time to get a drink though. He meandered over to the bar where a very cute Zeltron girl was making and passing out drinks. “What can I do you for?” she asked, a friendly smile warming her face. “I’ll just take a club soda,” he said managing a slight smile himself. She seemed nice enough, but he personally wasn’t what most people would classify as a charmer. “Aw come on! Nothing stronger than that?”

“No thanks, when I hit the tables later I want all my wits about me,” he explained nodding his head toward the sabacc tables where he could now see that the mustached winner was now leaving and exchanging words with a Selkath.

“Ah, I seeee,” she said drawing out the last letter slightly, “okay club soda it is then. Coming right up.”

"Excuse me, miss." Tala said, striding into the conversation. "Would you kindly back away from my good friend here?" She took her arm, pressing the woman away from the poor aqualish man. "Can't you tell the leader of the famed Star's Nova mercenaries when you see him? Just trying to do a good deed for a fellow patron, and you treat him like a servant. You should be absolutely ashamed." She closed with the woman, glaring dagers into her. "Now, i'd suggest you kindly scurry on back to your room before he decides to get angry."

With a bit of a dorky grin on his face, Ral chuckled under his breath as Tala rolled her eyes at him before taking his arm and leading him down the hallway. In response he snickered, "What? We can't scout and charm? Are we not allowed to multitask at all? That might take some of the fun out of this trip... might take a lot of fun out of this trip now that I think about it." Ral teased a little as they walked down the corridor coming to an area where there seemed to be some kind of verbal dispute taking place.

As Tala moved in to try and break it up, Ral stood back for a moment just to watch what developed. When she finished her rather scathing statement to the woman, Ral laughed lightly before shaking his head. Looking at the woman he politely smiled, not wishing to make the situation any more strenuous. "Please forgive my companion here. She's just protective. Now, I'd suggest you take her advice and hurry along. It would be a shame if there was an incident in this hallways at such a lovely place. Tala, would you mind? I'd like to see what the bar has." That last part added on to make it look like Ral was only concerned with having an enjoyable time, with the hope that the situation would diffuse itself.

Silas dabbed his lips lightly with his napkin before setting it on his lap. The Covado salad was delicious, the traditional Ithorian dish could only be recreated with greens from Ithor itself. Despite the war, the managers of this establishment provided the best and charged accordingly he thought to himself. But the sour thought was quickly eliminated as his tastebuds were overtaken by the sweet tang of the Coruscant Red Wine Vinaigrette and the pleasant crunch of the salad. Silas dabbed his lips once more, removing the last drops of vinaigrette from the corners of his mouth. Years of courtly schooling had left him with impeccable table manners.

The heir of House Vandron had dressed in a crisp white suit with a shimmering blue cape that changed its hue with every slight movement. He found it quite appropriate for the location and made a mental note to thank his slave for putting the piece in his wardrobe.

"Sirs, may we bring out the Bantha steaks?" Asked an attractive Twi-lek waitress.

"Silas aren't you done yet?" Asked Sion Elegin, second son of the Elegin family. Silas was accompanied by peers from the Senex-Juvex Kingdom, a trio of young bachelors, the sons of rich Nobles, who had come to the most tumultuous part of the galaxy to enjoy one of the galaxy's greatest luxury resorts. The third Noble son was Gio Abra who was eyeing the waitress approvingly and trying to catch her eye.

"Says a man who spent 75 credits on a salad just to stare at it." Silas replied, pointing out that the only movement on Sion's salad plate had been the croutons.

Sion cracked a smile "I don't like to eat greens, just smoke them!" To which Silas and Gio could not help but laugh.

"But yes darling, we have finished our first course." Silas replied in a courtly manner, flashing the twi-lek a smile, which she returned. "Thank you sir." she said putting a slight emphasis on sir that made Gio raise an eyebrow. The twi-lek waved her rose colored hand and several servers appeared to clear away their plates and replace them with steaming and pleasantly pungent Bantha steaks. It was the young noble's first day on Manaan, they had arrived only 2 hour earlier, and as they continued their meal they raised their glasses in a toast to relaxation and recreation.

"How are we on whiskey, Tysh?" asked Hal Stender as he double checked the drinks. Hal was about a foot taller than most people, with curly blonde hair and a pointed beard. He waved at Corto enthusiastically as soon as he saw him, his demeanor changing from serious to almost overly cheery.

"We're doing fine, Hal. Surprising we still have this much on Friday. With the cheap way Niroh runs this joint you'd think we'd be dry on the first night. I can't stand that guy."

"You won't have to if you keep that attitude up!" he replied quickly. "Show some class! Don't insult Niroh in front of his guests!"

The Zeltron woman suddenly looked like there was a gun pointed to her head. "Oh, right. My bad. So, uh, traveler! What brings such a big winner to Manaan? Our lovely casino, I bet."

==[LUXURY SUITES]===

The snooty woman raised her nose and walked away with an air of authority that would merit the most powerful of punches-to-the-face in any circle but this one. Not even addressing it further, she retreated to her room and slammed the door.

The Aqualish turned to Tala and stammered on in Basic uncomfortably. "Thank you, worm-face. You have my gratitude. Some of the guests here can treat the workers like.... flesh?" he said, unsure about his usage of the last word. "Name is Gonto, my. Pleasure to have helpful people." he continued to talk, reaching into his coat pocket and handing the couple a single VIP ticket. It was clear that he didn't know the word for this gift, so he just gestured at the pair with the card until they took it.

==[Regal Dining Area]===

Everyone in the dining area could hear the shouts coming from the kitchen.

"THIS BANTHA STEAK IS SO UNDERCOOKED I SWEAR I SAW IT TRYING TO SUCKLE FROM ITS MOTHER'S CORPSE IN THE FREEZER. YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE MORON, DID YOU KNOW THAT?" the voice boomed. "I AM TENG-motherlovin'-PUK, OKAY? I KNOW HOW TO COOK. YOU MOST DEFINITELY DO NOT. IF YOU CANNOT PAY ATTENTION, GET OUT OF MY KITCHEN." it shouted before returning to quiet. A large metallic dish could be heard clanging against the floor as all the guests in the dining area went silent. After a few moments however, conversation returned, and the angry Nikto chef was back to work on the Bantha steaks with one less assistant.

Tala smiled pleasantly to Gonto. "It was no trouble, really. I hate people like that, especially when they're being a chakaar." she said matter of factly. Aristocracy was below most people to her, and it made her blood boil seeing them abusing others. She nodded graciously to Gonto, taking the passes. "Thank you very much Gonto. We really appreciate it."

[ First roleplay thread, here we go! ]

- [Luxury Suites] -

There she stood, in the middle of her room. She was surrounded by water. Kheera moved her hands slowly over her head, whipping away the sweat from her forehead. Her breath was unsteady, her arms shivering. Her face has never been so pale before. Kheera.. you can do it. You are already in your room. Try to calm down. The water is not touching you. She thought, but it didn't help. Her fear was too strong, the panic only grew even more. She felt how the salty tears filled up her eyes. Filled with panic, she ran to the door and pushed it open. She had to find air and get away from water. Out of panic, she forgot to bow down as she stepped out of the door, causing her to bumb her head against the doorpost. "Ouch, oh you got to be kidding me!" With a gentle touch, she rubbed her own head. "Nghm.. That'll be a bruise for sure. Why don't they make doors for tall people?! What a crappy.. whatever this is!"

With the tears about to roll of her eyelids, she leaned a bit down and stepped out of her room. On her right, she noticed a couple talking to a Twi'lek. While it didn't sound too friendly, she couldn't hear their words. She rolled her eyes away from the couple and decided to look down at her own body. She wasn't too happy with wearing a quite revealing dress, but it was the only dress she could find. It was a long and red dress, with a split on the right side, revealing her leg a bit. I wish that I could wear my Jedi robes again. I feel so.. cheap. She gently shook her head with a sigh. Go to Manaan they said, it'll be fine they said. It'll be great for your fear, they said." It wasn't common for the Jedi to visit such places, especially not now with all the Sith issues. Therefore she had to stay undercover. No hilt, no robes, no 'Jedi acting', no Jedi business, Just, normal Kheera.

So Niroh was a cheapskate, plenty of bosses were. It was better for reaching the bottom line. Furthermore, it wasn’t that abnormal to dislike your boss. In fact, he could think of few people who genuinely liked their bosses. I mean look at him; he used to work for the Empire, now he ran around killing everyone that worked for them. Although, he didn’t think that this - Tysh, he thought the other man said her name was – was out to kill her boss.

At the admonishment by the other man her face suddenly filled with fear. It was a face he had seen many times and had in fact caused in others. The type of face you saw when you stuck a pistol in someone’s face during an interrogation. Strange that her boss would cause that kind of attitude.

A moment later she had snapped out of it and was back to her kind perky self. “That’s right. Sabacc is a bit of a pass time for me. Nice way to let off steam.” He didn’t mention that it also gave him a chance to size up other individuals and practice reading other’s expressions and body language. “Hopefully I’ll have a bit of luck later tonight,” he said taking a sip of his drink. “So, how long have you been working here at the resort?”

==[ELEVATOR]==

Eric was a very happy man. A smuggling job he'd recently done had paid very well, so to celebrate (and because he'd always wanted to go), he headed to Manaan and booked a suite in the Niroh Luxury Underwater Casino and Resort. Landing his freighter at Ahto City, he'd taken a shuttle over to the resort's sea-elavator, leaving '74 behind to watch the ship for him. Upon entering the platform, he was immediately awed by the size of it. If the elevator was this big, he could only imagine how big the resort would be.

Given the classiness of the resort-casino, Eric had forgone his usual armored flightsuit and instead was wearing a dark green dress shirt and some black slacks. His trusty wrist computer was securely strapped to his wrist, and while he wasn't openly carrying any weapons, the gauntlet that held the computer to his arm concealed a spring-loaded vibroblade. If working for the Cartel had taught him anything, it was that it never hurt to have a weapon at the ready.

As the elevator made it's way down to the resort, Eric noticed a man tinkering with an astromech, and from the looks of it, the droid wasn't working too well. Walking over, Eric offered the man a smile, "Having a bit of droid trouble? I could lend you a hand if you'd like, I've got an astromech of my own, and know a decent bit on how they work. My name's Eric, by the way." If the man accepted, Eric would pull up the sleeves of his shirt, kneel next to the droid, and help where he could. If not, he'd just stand there and talk with him.

-[Halls of the Luxury Suites]-

After taking a deep breath, Kheera stepped over to a sign on the wall. The sign was huge, with a lot of flashy colors. A spa, underwater pool, Casino, Club, Aquarave and a dining area. Kheera rubbed her eyes a bit, whipping the tears away. She felt how her warm tears rolled over her skin. She moved her eyes away from the sign and looked interested at her tear. By moving her hand a bit round, she forced the tear to roll over her hand and fingers. The tear left a long and wet trail over her handpalm. After a couple of seconds she looked away from her tears, up to the sign. I might as well get some food. Perhaps that'll ease my body a bit. It was a short walk from the Luxury Suites to the Dining Area, but it felt like hours for Kheera. There was quite alot of glass in the hallway, forcing Kheera to see the water. A slow shiver crawled over her back after seeing a fish swim by.

-[Regal Dining Area]-

And there it was, the doors of the dining area. They were quite big, but what else would you expect from this area? With a gentle push, the door swang open to the right, allowing Kheera to enter the dining area. The area looked quite stunning and most of all, gigantic. Kheera crossed her arms infront of her body, giving her a more defenced feeling as she walked forwards to one of the tables. She noticed how some people were staring at her, with their eyes wide open. These were the perks of being a Diathim, people act as if she's an Angel. "Angels of the Galaxy", pff. Ashamed, Kheera shoved her chair a bit back and sat down on it. As soon as her behind touched the chair, she noticed how soft and comfortable the chair actually was. Her body directly started to relax a bit because of it. Kheera moved her eyes to menu infront of her. She didn't recognize a lot of the meals, but the menu itself looked fancy. While trying to ignore the stares, she begun to read the description of every meal on the card.

She found one type meal that looked quite interesting. It was a type of meat with a special cream sauce and some sort of rice. Besides it, was a small salad. Kheera raised up her hand, trying to get some attention from one of the waiters. That of course didn't take too long. "Hello Miss, how can I serve you? The waiter sounded polite, in fact, even a bit charming. Her red cheeks slowly came back again. "Hello. I would like to have the.. hm." Kheera scratched the back of her head. She had no idea how to pronounce the name of the meal. The waiter smiled at her. "Ah, new here? The names of the meals are indeed a bit strange. Just take your time.". After a couple of times trying to pronounce the name, she gave up. She layed down the menu on the table and placed her finger on the meal that she tried to pronounce. "That's a very good choice, miss. The food will be here in a little while. Meanwhile, want something to drink?". Kheera begun to laugh a bit. "I'll have some water for now. Not the biggest fan of fancy drinks."

==[Sofujid Spa]==

It had been her parents' anniversary, and the Vong's had planned a trip with several of their closest friends and business partners. Naturally, all the invitees brought their grown-up children came along to join the fun, and they had rented out a space yacht to take them from Naboo to Manaan. The trip there had already been full of drinks and celebration, but it wouldn't stop until they returned to Naboo. This was how Khelsea found herself enjoying the peacefulness of the Sofujid Spa. It was rather quiet, compared to the rest of the facility which housed a million different kinds of entertainment. Khelsea was ready to mingle at the AquaRave later on during the day, but there was so much she wanted to see.

A Twi'lek by the name of Sif Sofujid was massaging Khelsea as she laid face down on the massage table. Her blue hands worked expertly, loosening up any tense muscles. Occasionally, Sif used the weight of her body or her elbow to massage Khelsea, and it was an incredible feeling. The young Jedi Knight was already anticipating the feeling of limberness, and was ready to party as hard as she possibly could. The AquaRave was exciting, and perhaps she could make some money at the casino. She wouldn't use her Force abilities for gambling though, that would be a severe misuse of power. Besides, she could probably pick up how the other players were feeling just by watching their facial expressions and actions.

Sif's voice brought Khelsea back into the present. She had just given Khelsea one of the best upper-back and shoulder massages she had ever experienced, and was inquiring if Khelsea had another area she wanted the masseuse to focus on. Without hesitation, Khelsea directed Sif towards her legs. She had stretched, but Khelsea's morning workout regimen had her legs feeling a little sore after her exercises this particular morning. She was a Jedi, and despite being ready to have fun and party, she wouldn't forget about her body and trying her best to ensure she was in excellent shape. If she was to help fight the New Sith Imperium, she would have to be as mentally and physically strong as possible. Time flew, and Khelsea paid Sif for her services. She also left a generous tip, and left the spa feeling great and very happy with the results.

The aqua-themed casino was beautiful. The entire luxury resort was very well designed and followed the aquatic theme, but the casino was clearly one of the major focuses for the developers. Thousands of guests could easily pack into the spacious and well-furnished playground for adults, and cheers and squeals of delight were heard all throughout the casino. It didn't matter what game it was, someone always seemed to be winning. They had checked her ID at the door, but every single member of the resort's staff was cordial and very agreeable. They must have been paid very well, and the training program would have to be intensive in order for the staff to be as effective as they were.

Khelsea wandered a bit, with two friends by her side. They were both the children of one of her parents' best friends, and they had grown up together. At some point, Khelsea was the tallest of the three. However, once their growth spurts kicked in, the two boys had quickly outgrown Khelsea and were now fine looking gentlemen. As they roamed the halls of the casino, Khelsea noticed that one Rodian male seemed to be increasingly frustrated. She hadn't seen what happened, but the on many screens the name "Sly Jones" was displayed, along with congratulatory messages and images of Jones collecting his prize. Perhaps the Rodian expected to win something too, who knew what he was thinking...

With a disgusted grunt, the Rodian smacked the screen of the slot machine, and got up in a huff. As he left, Khelsea couldn't help but try to defy the odds. The Rodian had been playing fairly high-stakes slots, but it wouldn't hurt her wallet too much to stick the minimum amount of credits in and see how it went. Two thousand credits went into the slot machines, and with the press of a button she rolled the slots. Her two friends joked about winning the slots jackpot as the screen moved, and within seconds, everything matched and the machine's lights lit up. Loud sounds played over the speaker, followed by "WE HAVE A WINNER!!!"

Khelsea hadn't really put any thought into it. She just thought it'd be nice to say that she played something at the casino. Who knew she would actually win something... "Well... that was unexpected", she said with a grin.

[REGAL DINING HALL]

Steak was good, but it was always better when it was free.

With his Bantha Hide bag of chips beside him Sly Jones demolished his free steak with the grace of starving rancor, wolfing it down after hours of not eating. Winning was after all, hungry work. He sat back in his chair and ordered one of the complementary drinks as he had his chips cashed in by a waitress.

Another hand of Poker, same buy in would be next, he thought, as he got up from his chair.

The bantha steak was delicious. It was one of the mysteries of the galaxy that such a succulent cut of meal, so tender, so juicy, could come from a beast of burden on the barren and inhospitable world of Tatooine. Silas savored his last forkful before dropping his napkin over his empty plate. "Incredibly satisfying." He said to no one in particular.

"I don't think any of enjoyed it as much as him." Said Gio, indicating a gentleman in a finely tailored suite with equally tailored facial hair. "He devoured it, no other words for it."

Silas turned in his chair and studied the man. He frowned slightly, there was something about him that he couldn't quite place. "Doesn't that gentleman look familiar?"

"That's uh… His name is Johnson or something." Said Sion absentmindedly, his attention squarely fixed at the beautiful Diathim who had made her way into the dining hall.

Silas racked his ming, trying to think of business partners, acquaintances and men of influence who met the mustachioed man's name and appearance. He was about to reach inside his coat for his data pad when Sion spoke again. "I think he's a slaver, my father mentioned him awhile back. I think he might have tried to co-opt his operations but wasn't able to outbid some third party, my guess is the Hutts or maybe Black Sun or The Exchange."

Silas raised an eyebrow. A slaver ehh? "Well now, he must be quite good to have attracted so much attention…" he said quietly.

Gio and Sion looked at each other and rolled their eyes. "What are you trying to do Silas? I'm almost one hundred percent sure he's aligned."

"He's got that look." Replied Gio sardonically. "We came here for fun, not business. If you're not going to relax then Sion and I are going to have fun ourselves." He said slowly rising from the table. "Come on lover boy, let's go check out the rest of the hotel." He said, before dragging Sion away from the table. Sion sighed and followed.

"Excuse me sir." Silas said in the direction of the mustachioed slaver. He walked quickly to catch up wight he man who looked as if he were leaving.

"Oh, I've only been here a couple of weeks. I used to work the bar at a different hotel in Ahto City, but the pay here is much better." Tysh explained, pouring Corto a tall glass of club soda with ice. She started polishing another glass with a rag. "You shouldn't have to wait so long to get lucky, we really do have more jackpots than every Casino in the inner rim. I'm frankly surprised that we can afford it."

--

"Congratulations." said a voice behind Khelsea. It belonged to Shora, the Selkath that had presented the steak voucher to Sly Jones. "Such luck, on your first try is almost unheard of, but that's the spirit of this place." he continued as he fumbled his large hands into his pockets to retrieve a pass. "You are interested in the AquaRave yes? To commemerate your win, I am upgrading you to VIP status! Feel free to visit the Five Thousand Fathoms Club if you cannot wait until tonight for the AquaRave. I do ask though that you do not flaunt how you obtained your ticket-- very bad for business if every winner feels they deserve a ticket."

Shora seemed to genuinely enjoy his job of awarding the winners in his casino. He took a slight bow and returned to the casino floor, checking on patrons.

The waiter nodded at Kheera and read the order back to her to make sure it was all correct. "You'd be surprised how often people order water here." he said, gesturing at the windows. "I suppose it makes some people thirsty. I will return soon."

While reminding Kheera that she was underwater was probably awful for her nerves, the waiter didn't seem to notice. He returned to the back of the kitchen, where the loud chef could be heard berating his crew a bit more. In the distance, she could see Silas try to catch Sly Jones' attention. Despite all the conversation happening, the room still managed to have a quiet, peaceful, feel about it. After a few minutes, the waiter returned with a platter, and laid the food out on her table. "Is there anything else I can do for you?" he said as he poured her a glass of water.

==[LUXURY SUITES]==

Gonto nodded back at the pair and walked off. By now they could tell that he didn't mean any offense, and just had difficulty understanding the social norms of the area. He opened a broom closet and fetched some housekeeping supplies, beginning to enter the unoccupied rooms for cleaning.

The single VIP pass that had been given to Tala would probably accommodate a "plus one", meaning that if Ral and Tala went into the Five Thousand Fathoms Club, they would have to do so together.

==[ELEVATOR]==

"I bought this blasted thing just a few hours ago and it conked out. Apparently the behavior core is malfunctioning-- so I paid an extra 20 credits for a new one. Damn merchants gave me the oldest piece of junk he could find, but it should work. I just can't figure out how to install the damn thing." Kalo Wolftenn explained, shaking Eric's hand, leaving a fine layer of motor oil on him. "Think you can plug this thing in?"

Kalo was waiting on his companion to arrive at the elevator. If she didn't arrive soon, he'd already explained that he'd wait for her in the lobby. Still, it wouldn't hurt to make friends on the way down.
