Subterral was a busy industrial world with extensive mining operations and opportunities. It hadong been a dream of hers to own a ruby mine on Korriban, but recent events had seen things turn out slightly different. With her acquisition of a large gem mining operation, plus a flush fund she opened up, expansion options were limitless.

Except when people chose to stand in her way.

Using capital, she'd use legal means to buy up shares in several other ventures on world but despite her best effort, she'd often come short of a controlling share. It seemed that as se moved around the market, her efforts were matched by other interests and she could only watch as her plans fell through the cracks.

One name kept popping up more than the others. Raits Industries.

To deal with this punk of CEO, Nevi opted for an ironfist approach in the form of hiring a mercenary. Meeting in a reasonably busy cantina, the pureblood sipped at her tea watching for his arrival.

While Ilias had been busy playing in the snow on Ando Prime, D3 searched for an actual paying job. Free from the snow and toy pirates, the Veran warrior was soon enough in the void of space and on his way to Subterral. At the complete opposite side of the galaxy.

A few hyper space jumps and a refuel later and the Mandalorion mercenary was planet side. Leaving D3 with the Harvest, Ilias departed for the local watering hole.

Entering the establishment, Ilias took a moment to look around. Eyeing the exit at the rear behind the stage. Then the sized up the rest of the crowd, and the one presumably off duty guard from one of the other operations. Finally he noticed his her, she was hard to miss in a room full of aliens and near humans. The client for this job was would be the first Pureblood he'd met.

Ilias carefully approached the woman, "Nev ?" He asked behind the sealed helmet. Opting not to use the woman's full name, knowing full well he would fuck it up if he tired.

Sitting around waiting was becoming a far too common element of her life lately. She supposed that was part and parcel of the situation she had walked herself into, but that wasn't important. What was, however, was completing a series of objectives that the woman had set in the back of her mind to ensure her legacy.

A dream of freedom and power, illicit thoughts and wild fantasy.

Glancing up at the approaching man, she nodded toward the seat before her. "No names, Mando." Her tone was sharp and cold. A small amount of steam piqued from the mug of tea in her hand, its aroma blooming.

Her previous experiences with his kind were not exactly what you'd call positive. Although that wasn't his fault, the entire Sith Order had witnessed the disaster that was that thing. But his execution had also catalyzed her newfound position within the Sith. So depending on how this encounter developed, her opinion of the bucket-heads surely could only be improved.

"How are you at sweet talking?" Her face softened as the question was posed. "Or are you a punch first, ask questions later type?" His decision would help shape the next part of their mission.

Being one of the most senior and experienced of APEX contractors, Covax wanted to check wanted to check in on some of the new faces of the company. Well, mostly just to new kid on the block.

The mando tried, he really did. But he just couldn't get traction with the first client. A shame, but it was also why Arla wanted him to remain on the payroll. He was made for this line of work. He wasn't a power player, or faction leader. He was a mercenary. Ilias was, well not.

"Maybe next time." the human said from a nearby table toward the Mando. The former crime boss then stood and moved over to the chair offered by the red skinned woman. "I suppose that depends" He said answering her question. "Am I taking you to dinner and dancing, or dealing with a competitor?"

Covax had the look of an old war bantha, but he knew how to charm if and when he needed to. He was also perfectly capable of going full Death Star, able to eradicate nearly any thread put before him. Save for one little green gunslinger that just never seemed to know when to die. But then, even a Sith Empress couldn't get rid of Callo.

The sudden withdrawal of the ill-equipped Mando had Nevi chuckle to herself for a second. No sooner had he left but his proverbial shoes were filled by a somewhat more reliable face - one she recognized.

"How about a gala?" She asked with a twinkle in her eye in answer to his question. The city's well-to-do were hosting one such event later that night and it would provide a perfect opportunity for the pureblood to rub shoulders with those hands she would need to grease, and the ones to eliminate if she couldn't.

"If you didn't pack anything suitable I'm sure we can find you something?" She offered politely, drawing from her tea. It likely wasn't exactly the type of job he was used to taking, but then again not having to bash skulls for the evening while still being paid was likely an interesting change for the man. "I would hate to go alone, and I could imagine you'll be drawing some attention from all the spoiled housewives," Nevi remarked with a chuckle.

Hearing the question, the imposing looking human gave the pure blood a stern look of question. It had been more than a few years, but the last gala event he went to was also the first time he'd run into Doc after she saved his life. The moment flashed in his mind, unleashing the flood of others. Suddenly Covax gave an amused smile, then sighed.

"It's been a while, but I'm happy to be of service. Even if it's just as a bodyguard." He answered in a more professional tone then he took with most. These days the human mercenary could care less about political moves and ever changing power players in the verse. But he knew the game, and he knew his role in it.

Covax thought for a moment. He'd lost literally everything during his time as a carbonite statue. He was rebuilding his life sure, but hadn't thought, until now, to replace his suits. "Oh? So you need arm candy?" He said, suddenly realizing he was her date not just her shield for the event. "Perhaps, we should do a little shopping then." He said with a warming smile.

His comment drew a quick smile from the pureblood. "When you're finished here.." She motioned for him to have a drink if he liked, "I'll take you shopping." After all, she wasn't one to sit idly by when there was work to do and the chance to spend a little had recently become a new favorite pastime.

Once they were all paid up and ready to go, the pair would find themselves on a ride making their way to the local shopping mall. The dense urban jungle was blistering with beings from all walks of life and Nevi often found herself looking out over them to ponder what kind of drama or interesting quirk that they may possess.

Upon arriving, they made their way up to a store that catered to fine gentlemen, distinguished and otherwise. No doubt whatever he wanted was likely in stock, he'd simply just have to pick something out. "My treat, go on - but I wanna see before I buy." She cracked a smile, waving him off to follow the attendant who had popped up out of nowhere.
