Two shots from a blaster rifle... isn't that a bit much for a light vest? I'm not 100% certain, but it does seem a little much. But that's the only issue I see. Aside from being generic, which isn't always a bad thing.

Yeah, I tried to base this as much off a real world ballistic vest as I could, namely the Modular Tactical Vest as used by MARSOC. I just wasn't sure how plastoid would compare to something like kevlar. If someone could clarify this that would be great.

Just as a general rule, try not comparing Real World Tech to Star Wars Tech.

Onto protection, I'd say one rifle shot and two pistol shots. And since it's a vest, it'll only cover the torso area. That seems fairly reasonable.
