click image of armor for image of helmet

Affiliation: Sith Space (open to anyone who has reason to obtain it)

Ownership: N/A

Intent: Designed to create a solid "dueling" armor that provides balance in defensive properties without being cumbersome and physically impossible to ACTUALLY duel in with any form of mobility.

Model: MK 5 "Inquisition" Combat Armor

Weight: 10-18 kg

Composition: Composition varies based on individual desires but the most common composition being an alloy constructed from Duralium and Lanthanide. However, there are cases where customers have requested pieces of the armor to be forged from metals such as titanium. While these requests are uncommon, this practice is ill advised and wearers are encouraged to utilize light weight alloys or metals during the conceptual stages of development.

Aside from this, the Inquisition Combat armor comes equipped with a sealed environmental suit underlay to protect the wearer from most harsh elements or extreme temperatures. Atop this environmental suit sits an armorweave mesh, which aids in cushioning blows and prevents immediate death should the armor fail. On both the front and back of each individual plate a generous amount of thermal gel is applied, to protect the armor from heat and kinetic impacts. Finally the plating itself is placed underneath an armorweave robe, creating an appealing aesthetic to many Sith or Dark Side practitioners.

Rating: Light to Medium

The Inquisition armor is not designed to stand up to heavy or prolonged direct fire from any firearm or plasma weaponry

Light armor variant:
- 0 Lightsaber strikes (unless utilizing lightsaber resistant metal then the area can survive one [1] strike.)
- 1 Bladed melee weapon slashes
- 1 Blunt melee weapon strike
- 2 Sidearm shots
- 1 Rifle or Carbine shot
- 0 Heavy ordinance shot (shotgun or sniper rifle)

Medium armor variant:
- 0 Lightsaber strikes (unless utilizing lightsaber resistant metal then the area can survive one [1] strike.)
- 2 Bladed melee weapon slashes
- 2 Blunt melee weapon strike
- 3 Sidearm shots
- 2 Rifle or Carbine shot
- 1 Heavy ordinance shot (shotgun or sniper rifle)
-Shrapnel resistant

Description: The Inquisition Combat Armor was designed to allow agile users to enter into combat without being weighed down by heavy armor. While this armor CAN protect the wearer from one or two blaster shots it is primarily designed around the user reacting and avoiding incoming dangers as opposed to simply soaking through them. As such, the armor itself is extremely modular, allowing the owner to design their own utility based options ranging from HUD, rebreathers, grappling launchers, Jumpers, arm based blaster weapon system, and an on-board cpu to review uploaded data from the helmet's HUD (should that option be taken).

Outfitted with a segmented breastplate, pauldrons, vambraces, legplates, and boots the Inquisition Combat Armor ensures some measure of security and safety while in small skirmishes or direct combat with another individual. The Inquisition armor exemplifies practicality and rugged utility while avoiding weighing the wearer down to an extreme sense. While the armor was designed to provide a margin of protection, it was not designed for open warfare and cannot withstand direct and prolonged heavy fire. Instead the armor's design is based around simply avoiding or preemptively reacting to oncoming threats.

Aside from this, it is not uncommon for individual wearers to customize the armor with their own unique touches. Adding utility belts, ammunition pouches, and in some cases additional armor plates or weapon systems. This however is the design of the armor, to allow for a highly modular system that an individual can adapt to suit whatever needs they might have to accomplish an objective on the field.

As this is faction tech, it'll need to go through the FL and, subsequently, the HoL.

or change the affiliation to "Sith Space" but then as long as someone from any faction has a good reason it can be used by them. like a pompus noble that likes to look like a sith while also having some armor.

I was wondering when someone would make a versatile light armor system.

Just a quick note, keep in mind that our version of the light/medium/heavy armour system refers to armour coverage, not the weight or durability of the armour. It's a weird system, in my opinion, because that doesn't really leave any other terminology for rating armour durability.

Having full armor will automatically equate to it being heavier and limiting range of motion. That is part of the negatives of full armor, you lose out on your mobility in turn for better protection.

Since Clayton outlawed Force sensitives from using armor functions to their armor, can you edit this part out, or add on a separate footnote stating that Force users can't add functions:
"As such, the armor itself is extremely modular, allowing the owner to design their own utility based options ranging from HUD, rebreathers, grappling launchers, Jumpers, arm based blaster weapon system, and an on-board cpu to review uploaded data from the helmet's HUD (should that option be taken)."

I figured the way I worded it suggested the armor came barebones with just a thermal gel underlay. I'm working on a reword for it regardless as someone informed me it was a bit confusing!

It definitely states that it comes barbones. Just don't want any new Sith members to get confused and add wrist launchers and such.
