Intent:
The intention of this vessel is to replace the current flagship the, Jaro'yaim and one of Orar’s Crusader-class Corvettes. Due to it’s characteristics and methodology in construction, it cannot be purchased, produced or repeated.

The Mjölnir’s unique open concept landing deck located between the forward compartment and the rear compartment, and shielded with containment generators and equipped with a magnetic deck, allows for virtually all of Clan Orar’s assault craft to be carried aboard whether the containment bay is active or not. Due to the massive power required to maintain such a containment bay, the Mjölnir does not routinely use it, the magnetic decking takes into account this. This bay does not have emergency backup doors, though it does have an emergency backup generator, which will provide 30 seconds of reserve power to the field before venting into space. Anything or anyone not magnetized down will vent.

Equipment:
Full array of military-grade equipment including scanners, shield generators, communications, firing and tracking controls. Standard stuff here, nothing worth special note.


Consumables:
The Mjölnir can stay at space for one galactic year without revisiting a resupply port assuming it maintains a standard compliment and it’s H2O and Food reserves stay intact.


Special Facilities:
The Mjölnir features a very small Rhydonium processing compartment which when supplied with the ore by Clan Orar’s mining vessels allows the Mjölnir to have an inexhaustible source of fuel and power.


Background:
The Mjölnir is the professional cannibalization of most of Clan Orar’s capital fleet and the utilization of seized vessels from pirate groups in the Outer Rim, the experts at the Bakuran Shipyards at Bakura have reorganized and repurposed the former Jaro’yiam and one of Orar’s Crusader Class vessels with the parts seized from the piracy groups to form the Mjölnir. It’s compartmentalized design allows for expedient repairs on the go, and the ease of repurposing compartments for whatever uses Clan Orar may have. It is with high hopes that the Mjölnir will serve Clan Orar well in future days as a base of operations as Clan Orar holds no isolated bases and puts all of it’s revenue and supplies back into maintaining its fleet. With the cannibalization of two of it’s largest ships, this allows the Clan to easily recompliment the new Mjölnir frigate with experienced crew and warriors.
