After the battle on Serenno, they had captured a pirate gunship. They also managed to slice the nav computer, and get the position from the pirates were doing their raids from. This was now the time to end them, and their raids on house Malvern. She and a merry band were on board that ship, the plan was simple, but the question was how many of them are there. This bit of intel they were lacking, so they need to away neutralize what was ever down there. They also had little information on the base, so the first glimpse of it would be when they are above it.

As they came out of hyperspace and came towards the moon, they had a glimpse of the desert base. The was a few huts and a landing pad, and some watchtowers. This was not going to be easy, but it was necessary. She turned to the others on the craft and asked Okay any ideas on the battle plan, as when we get down there this is going to be a hot situation. She waited for suggestions, as this was not going to be easy.

They had barely got the hunk of junk flying, but its hyperdrive was surprisingly capable of transporting them from Serenno to Junction—not that the distance was too extreme. Milo's eyes turned to face the window of the cockpit as their ship boomed out of hyperspace in front of the desert moon, slowly approaching it. He gripped a bar to his right as they entered atmosphere, making the descent toward the pirate base.

He'd managed to scrounge up about 8 of his soldiers—those that were not too drunk to function—and gathered them into the ship, assigning most of them to various positions to keep the craft flying; simple things, from gunner to technician. The men were trained well, and had succeeded in making it operational again—for now. He hoped that the pirate base had the tools necessary to fix the ship and prevent them from being left stranded.

"The base does not look to be particularly sturdy," he remarked, and it was true. The pirates were operating out of a hangar and warehouse, with a small village of tents around it. Ships were scattered among the desert floor, some with pilots gearing up to take to the skies. "We can raze their flimsy base down with the cannons."

As if one cue, a squadron of 5 RX-3 starfighters flew up behind them, opening fire from their lasers. Their gunners fired back, and Milo eyed Sarla to see whether her piloting was any good. It better be—their lives depended on it. "After we get rid of the opposition, I suppose."

It was a bit of an issue, getting the gunship to fly again. Despite having a very universal and easy-to-fix design, it was still a pain.

But at the end of the day it was fully operational, and fully manned with a squad of Milo's troops. They would definitely come in handy if push comes to shove.

They exited hyperspace, and came into full view of Junction. A desolate, meaningless piece of rock in space, but it was remote and inconspicuous. Setting up a proper base here would definitely be in any smuggler or pirate's favour. Sadly this ramshackle excuse for a base was not what the Pureblood had envisioned. Then again, pirates were not known for being resourceful or strategic.

Hask folded his arms across his chest, listening as the crusader spoke. "I agree, I've seen Tusken Raider camps that look better than this heap. But I'd still recommend we touch down and do some recon. Pirates might not be known for their bases but they are known for having sometimes utterly ludicrous firepower..." his planning was interrupted, when cannon shots zipped passed them.

"Speaking of which..." he said, grabbing hold of a console to keep himself steady as the ship lurched under the gunfire.
There was a small explosion on board, knocking out one of the gunners. As he rushed to replace the gunner he called out,
"I got the gun, you two get those shields up! Sarla, evasive maneuvers!"

He got into the gunner's dorsal seat, giving the turret a whirl around as he got a feel for its controls. He turned to face a fighter as it was making a run for them, its concussion missiles preparing to fire. Before the enemy could launch them, Hask lit up the enemy fighter in a stream of heavy blaster cannon fire.

The fighter was painted from left to right in red plasma and blew apart, sending debris flying in all directions. He turned the turret around, attempting to lead on one of the other fighters. They were fast, keeping up with them as the flew overhead proved tricky.

He fired and hit the fighter on the left wing, but somehow it didn't manage to blow it off. Laser cannons definitely hit a little harder than these guns if one compared their impact. Hask kept firing, though, using the high fire rate to its full potential as he lit up the surrounding area in a hail of blaster fire.

She listened to others, about a possible plans action. They seem to point out the pirate base was flimsy, so staffing it till they where all opposition was wiped out. There was only one slight problem, this was an active pirate base, five of their raiders have come back. This called for quick action, and she is the one who closes to the cockpit, she had to take the evasive maneuvers. So she got into the pilot seat, as the ships came at them. They were faster and deadly ships, she would not have the ability to dodge all of them. She initially put the shields up, as she did the ship took some fire. The problem was she was in the atmosphere and not in space, they were better here than this gunship. The ship rattled as it got shot, she pulled back on the accelerator to slow the ship down. So these fighters would pass straight over them, this would at least allow @Hask Jen to start firing back. This was not going to be pretty, in fact, this might be really bad. She was hoping by using their damaged ship, they would not know they took it, but they obviously knew. So the plan of surprise has gone out the window, now down to just killing them.

The ship rattled as they were stuck by a few bolts, protected well enough by the shields. Despite Sarla's nautical shortcomings, their gunners were putting up a fight, with Hask taking out a fighter and maiming another, while one of Milo's soldiers took out one of the fighters. Two enemies down and another incapacitated, the Drast headed for one of the turrets, motioning for the gunner behind it to move and let him take control. The Sith settled in just as another stream of bolts came flying at them from a fighter that had been left unchecked. Taking the opportunity—the enemy craft was mere meters away—he pressed the trigger, sending an equally vicious spray toward the pirate. He had not expected it—perhaps had not even seen there was a functional turret there—and the bolts slammed into the nose of his ship from the bottom to the top of his cockpit and even striking some of the hull. The transparisteel was quickly pierced, the fire killing the pilot within and causing his craft to go veering toward the desert floor.

Milo trusted that Hask would take out the incapacitated fighter and instead turned his attention to the only functional one left—about 50 meters away and quickly approaching. He let loose another stream of bolts, and they peppered its hull as it pulled up into a loop, not doing much damage. He tried to track it as it soared, but found that the guns could not reach. As the fighter finished its loop, it sent a missile flying toward their craft, which Milo hoped Sarla would find within herself to dodge. It would rock their ship considerably if hit, and mess up the aim of every gunner there—as well as seriously damage the hull.

"Great shit Milo, I saw that one!" Hask spoke over the ship's comms as he swivelled around, firing on the damaged fighter. He kept firing at it, putting holes into its cockpit, fuselage, and finally engine, making it spiral and dive into the earth below.

He spotted the fighter Milo was aiming at, getting a lead on him and opening fire. His guns peppered the entire side of the starfighter and blew it apart, but not before the fighter could launch its missiles at him.

He tried to shoot the missile down but it passed below his guns' depression and out of his sights. Not good.

"Sarla, incoming! We got incoming, swing ou...oh crap!" his sentence was cut short as the ship lurched, almost throwing the sith out of the turret. Hask grabbed hold of the gun control and seat's back support, spinning the gun around in full rotation and firing wildly and out of control. As soon as he was back in his seat he regained control of his gun, looking around for the last 2 fighters but not seeing them at all.

"I can't see them. Milo you got something?" the pureblood called out to the crusader.

His targeting system was garbled and unresponsive. He only had line of sight to fire on now. Hopefully not all the turrets' systems were down.

Sarla Malvern did not like being in the cockpit, and if she survived this, she would be hiring a pilot. This was not her forte, she was more of hack and slash kinda girl. Though as she realized from the last mission, that these boys with her were far superior in that department. She heard the complaints from the back of her, and ship juddering when it was struck by the enemy fighters. She tried to spin the ship around, so the guns faced the enemy. She yelled back, her voice did sound stressed, she was not a fighter pilot. CAN YOU SEE THEM? She needed a mark, something just something to give her an indication of where they were. She was not panicking yet, but she was starting to. The ship took another hit, this time she saw smoke coming from the side of the ship. Then she saw the two ships in front of her, they might just be able to take one down.

The two enemy fighters flew into Milo's sights, and he didn't hesitate. With one quick flurry, he exploded the first one into non-existence, trying and failing to quickly train the scope on the other to take it out. The last craft opened fire on them as he was focused on its comrade, slamming a few bolts into the gunship as it tried to twist out of the way. Many of the systems had failed or were beeping, and Milo couldn't help but wonder why the shields had been so useless.

The fighter was readying itself to open fire once more, but the Crusader put a stop to it—he sent enough plasma flying out for his own guns to overheat and jam. Luckily for Milo, that had been enough. With one final explosion, the pirate craft crashed on the desert floor. The base's naval defense had been taken out, but the anti-air guns remained in place, which were beginning to open fire as they came within range. Milo shot a flurry of bolts at them as his guns came back online, causing a few small explosions and obliterating what stood in between them and storming the base. "Clear to land," he spoke into the comms, waiting for Sarla to navigate onto the desert floor and open the doors for them.

Hask just sat in his seat, unable to help as the fighters were below his turret's depression space. The ship took a beating, and the pureblood could see smoke pouring out on the side of the ship. Luckily Milo was on top of it, dispatching both remaining fighters in a matter of seconds before they could do any more damage. He just sat back in his seat, ready to fire in case any more show up, but watching the two ships go down as if it was a movie.

Hask's attention snapped back when bolts flew past them from the pirate base. Pretty soon both him and Milo as well as a bunch of other gunners were firing down on the base and its defences as they circled overhead, knocking it all out. "Clear this side." he perked up over the comms a second after Milo.

The gunship was burning up, staying in the air like this. Smoke was filling the ship, throwing a blanket over everyone and making it hard to breathe. Hask created a force bubble around his head to allow himself to breathe effortlessly "Sarla, set her down! If we stay in the air any longer we'll burn out." he called out as he made his way to the cockpit. As he reached it he spotted a clearing that was overlooking the pirate base, still close enough to mount an attack from but far enough to make repairs. "Set us down there." he said, pointing a finger to the clearing.

The pirate ships had been knocked out of the sky, it was time to land, @Hask Jen pointed a clearing to her. She began moving the ship, to that landing zone. The ship did need to land, as her handling of it was atrocious, and it had been damaged thanks to that. As she took it down, the damage had taken its toll, and it was hard to handle the craft. As it landed the ship bumped a lot, and came to screeching halt. She did manage not to crash it as it landed, but it was still a very rough landing. As the ship came to a halt, she turned to everyone and asked Are you guys alright? She knew they scorn her for her poor handling of the ship, but for now, they had another job to do, kill or capture the last of pirates, and then go home.

She got from up out if her seat and began moving, towards the door to get off this ship. She figured as soon they were of this ship the better hopefully, she proves herself better, on the ground. She noted to herself after all this, she needed to hire a pilot. She waited at the docking ramp for the others.

The remainder of the trip was somehow more jarring than the maneuvering they had seen thus far, but Milo said nothing as the gunship landed with a massive, metallic thud, sending him flying up from the momentum, like an elevator that suddenly failed. He had gotten through by holding on to the bars around him and thanks to his seat belt, though he had silently made a promise to himself to never get into a ship that Sarla is piloting ever again. He would rather travel in his cramped starfighter than face such conditions ever again.

"Never better," he replied as he strode out from around the corner of the hallway, heading for the door. The two ended up at the docking ramp, but Milo did not stand around to wait. The pirates had already been tipped off about their arrival, and the longer they took to get to the outpost, the longer their enemies would have to prepare. He did not want this to turn into a 3 man siege.

His lightsaber flew to his hand and his cloak swished behind him as he stalked through the field toward the base, kicking up sand with every step. The pirates were waiting for them, but their numbers were slim and spread out. If they infiltrated properly, they could wipe them out easily.

Hask was not prepared at all for the rough landing. When the ship touched down he was thrown off his feet and against a console with a loud, metallic thud. Sarla's question definitely did not help the situation, but in no time at all Hask was back on his feet. "Kitas amzi Nu buti vykti tave Hellion." he grumbled under his breath as he made his way out of the ship, close behind Milo. He was not a fan at all of the noble's flying capabilities.

He stood outside the ship, watching the base from afar. If they moved now they would still have some element of surprise. The pirates' numbers were most certainly depleted, with the amount of botched attacks they made. Their forces would be sliced in half at the least, though it seems his fellow sith had the same idea as he drew his lightsabre and started march down to attack the pirates head on.

With nothing better to do, he fell in right beside Milo, igniting both his crimson blades and crossguards next to him as he walked beside him. His helmet was in place, hiding the menacing smile he had on his face. "This is going to be fun." he muttered. Hask would normally be a rather calm, collected individual, but he was still a Pureblood...and the call for blood were at times even too much for him to resist. He didn't bother looking back to Sarla to see if she was following, the call tempting him too much to even care about the rest of his team mates. "First blood shall be mine." he said to Milo in a maniacally happy tone as the base came into range.

They were very polite about her space piloting, she needed lessons, or to hire someone it was plain for anyone to see. She replied to them, Thank you, but your too kind. She doubted they could get the element of surprise, after all, she just crashed a gunship. She really did need lessons, maybe she could ask one these after the fight. She then lite up her lightsaber staff, then joined the others in running forward. They were already in trouble, as the base had wreckage from the fighters that destroyed landed on it. There were quite a few dead and others injured, those that were not were trying to find cover from to fire at them.

She could see flames, as she got closer. The fuel stores were destroyed, no doubt they were in a bad way in there. She was well and truly looking forward to ending the threat to her family. Then the first blaster shots came, they not accurate, these people were still on shock from the crash. She deflected them back, she was unsure if she had hit any of them. Though one did get through and bounce of her arm, it did not phase her. She kept going, she was ready to kill these bastards.

Sarla's inability to discern sarcasm was comical enough to make Milo's expression soften a bit behind his helmet, but he was more focused on approaching the base as stealthily as possible. He chuckled as the woman shot from her blaster—ruining any chance at stealth that they had, but also ruining Hask's wager. "Where two are fighting, the third wins," he replied to the man as his chance of getting first blood disappeared with Sarla's bolt. It had hit a pirate right in the chest, downing him as he shot at her. Milo ignited and lifted his lightsaber to deflect a few shots as well, sending them down into the sand. Small fires charred it where the plasma hit, but there was no grass so there was no risk of a wild fire.

They were only a few dozen meters away, so Milo broke into a sprint, weaving out of the way of blaster shots coming his way. He entered the perimeter with a swipe that carried him forward and slashed a pirate in half, then lifted up his blade and sent a bolt flying back into its sender. He could not get a proper look at the camp from where he stood, but it was littered with various tents, some of which had been destroyed by fallen starfighters. Fires had erupted in those places, which were slowly spreading to the rest of the base. They could have just let the pirates fend for themselves and they would have died quickly enough, but Milo preferred seeing the job through.

Hask wasn't bothered at all by Sarla's first kill, but Milo's comment cause a chuckle to escape the Pureblood. The shots were becoming more and more intense. Hask deflected a bunch of shots all over the place, including right back at the pirates. His marched moved up to a jog and when he reached the 20 meter line he jumped into a sprint right towards the pirates. He used a crate in front of him to launch himself into the air and land right on top of a pirate, impaling him through the chest with both blades.

When the pirate hit the ground, Hask jumped off and sprinted to a second one, slicing off the barrel of his gun and stabbing him through the gut. Three pirates opened fire but the pureblood deflected all their bolts back to them. He charged forth through the chaotic camp, slicing through crates, tents and other obstacles as he destroyed the camp even further. A pirate came at him with a vibroblade, but Hask effortlessly parried it and then proceeded to relieve the pirate of his head.

While all of that was going on, one absolute unit of a pirate emerged from behind a building, cradling a light repeater in his arms and taking aim at both Hask and Milo, ready to shoot them in the back...

The fight was now on, truly and utterly, she had reached their lines. The first of her kills was a quick one, she used the force to leap at him, and decapitated him in mid air, as she jumped past him. His body kept moving for a little longer, and blood gushed out of it. His lifeless head meanwhile dropped to the floor, it would be screaming in agony if it was still attached to the body, as it takes about ten seconds for the brain to stop working. She pressed forward, as she did she turned to seek her next kill. Then got shot in the other arm, she fell back slightly, her arm was sore and bruised as a result. Then in pain, she used the force, to shoot lightning at his blaster. Her skill was not good enough to kill him, but it was enough to make him drop his weapon.

Hask cut through the crowd brutally, and Milo turned his sights to the only standing structure left: the hangar. It was a sizable warehouse with its back cut out so that starfighters and freighters could take off, made of durasteel—unlike the rest of the camp. The Sith was beginning to make his way over when a massive, barrel-chested pirate wielding a light repeater strode out, already readying his aim to open fire. Acting quickly, Milo wrapped the Force around the barrel of the weapon and tugged up as hard as he could, wrenching it free from the pirate's grasp and chucking it far away. Weaponless, the man charged at him, and Milo ran forward to meet him.

Likely having expected hand-to-hand combat, the pirate reached both arms out to grab the Sith, only to watch as Milo's red blade sliced them both cleanly off at the elbow. With a thrust, he plunged the plasma into his opponent's large chest and spent no time watching as the life left his eyes. By the time the man had fallen, Milo had already moved on toward the hangar, stepping in—the main door had been left open for the defenders to swarm out, and no one had closed it.

He could see nothing of great value within, though there was a great number of crates that seemed interesting enough. The pirates had to have been storing something of use within them—they did not spend their lives pillaging just to have boxes and boxes of useless machine parts taking up most of their hangar space. Milo headed toward one of them, opening it up with a kick and finding nothing of value within. The warehouse was devoid of any other being, everyone being too focused on the raid outside to actually stop Milo. He moved on to the next box, finding nothing again. By the 6th, he was ready to call it a day—then he found something. It was near the bottom of the box, but a shield booster poked out as if calling out to him.

Milo reached in and took it, holding the device with one arm as he wielded his lightsaber with the other. Hopefully his companions were done taking out the opposition by now.

The fight was coming to a close. The pirates have been broken and the only ones left were either running for their lives or trying to mount a last desperate offensive. One charged at Hask, holding his gun by the barrel and swinging it like a club, but it was quickly sliced in half and the pirate found himself impaled through the chest not long after. Hask pulled his blade out and extinguished both lightsabers.

Taking advantage of the fires blazing around him, he manipulated the flames, enlarging them and blanketing a few pirates in it and leaving them to burn. The brute with the repeater was dispatched quickly enough by Milo as he made for the hangar. Hask would join him in a moment, but for now he first had to finish up with the pirates. One was crawling on the floor towards a nearby weapon, but Hask slammed both hilts down on his back and ignited the blades. The pirate tensed up then went limp as death embraced him. The only ones that were left to oppose them were 5 or so pirates that were either cowering behind some pitiful cover or were on their knees, begging for mercy.

He looked over to Sarla who was busy attempting to electrocute a pirate. "Sarla stop playing with your victims and kill him already!" he called out. He looked back at the pirates on the ground in front of him. He simply chuckled and turned to walk to the hangar. Sarla could do with them as she wished. This was her mission, after all. Hask looked himself over as he walked, a couple cuts and scorch marks here and there, but thankfully he was still in one piece and with no serious injuries. He entered the hangar and saw Milo standing next to a crate and holding very good looking shield booster under his arm. "Nice find. See anything else that could..." his small talk was interrupted by a feint glimmer coming from a hole in a blanket covering something off to the side.

He stood in front of the object and pulled the blanket off the machine. He let out a whistle as he stared right at a military grade power core just sitting there in front of him. "Oh I can find a few uses for this." he said to himself. Thankfully the machine was placed on a hover deck. With a press of a button the machine lifted off the ground and hovered in place, making moving it around a lot easier.

She ran stabbed the last pirate, she had helped stop raids on her family. Though her house had a lot of help on it is way, but it was over. The other two were now looting the pirate base, she may as well have a look around as well. She just wanted to go home though, as it had been exhausting, to say the least. She battered bruised, shot at, knocked to the ground. She wanted her bed, and a nice cup of tea and some feel good book to read. She sat down in the corner, on some seat she had found in one of the huts, waiting for the others to finish looting the place. She was debating about having a spar day when she got back, to her home on Serenno.
