Mission 3: Antar are off

They recently managed to get the intelligence of were the pirates base was, now it was time to take it down. The trio dropped out of hyperspace, near the dead moon. She was in her Crux Fighter and had her gear on her, she was unsure what she was going to face. As they had limited intel, apart from the base was on the dead moon in this area.

She moved her ship into formation and plotted a course to the moon. Then she opened up her coms, to talk to her comrades in arms. This is Mrs. Pink, I got nothing on my scanners, have you picked anything up. As she talked, her ship was now pointing directly to the moon, and she was planning to get their, as soon as she could.

There were always pirates to kill. It probably had something to do with the destabilizing of the galaxy. A change in leadership, economies were in flux and jobs not available. Regular provisions and supplies by organizations were forced to be supplimented by smaller companies moving product across the galaxy. All of these resulted in just fanning the flames of piracy.

Drali did not much care for corsairs, raiders, brigands, privateers, buccaneers, or whatever they called themselves. Deucalians have their own background with the lifestyle but the woman's personal taste meant she preferred a relatively honest means of success. In the turret of her personal ship the woman was literally twiddling her thumbs. Red YEET as she had so pleasantly named herself made beat boxing noises to kill time until the voice of Dani came over the closed ship to ship communication link.

She yawned first but then replied in kind. "Yeah, uhhhhh nothing on my end either. The woman had the sensor readouts relayed to her turret so she could tell who was where and what was going on. Perhaps she would get to paint more kill markings on the hull of the light freighter later. Maybe she would do them in different colors. That would be pretty. Out of boredom she turned the turret three hundred and sixty degrees to test its speed. A mildly monetone "weeeee..." Left her painted mouth like a kid in their parent's office chair.

For this mission, Zvonimir had to leave his usual Reflex-class Starfighter behind and instead pilot a Crux-class Starfighter for this mission. Not his preferred craft but he is capable of flying one of them. Zvonimir would be flying his fighter flanking Mrs. Pink's ship on her port side as they would be flying towards the moon they are seeking to get rid of that pirate base they've came for.

When Mrs Pink asks on the comms if anyone else had picked anything up, the Anaxes native would then reply as well "Got nothing" for now anyway. There isn't anything sticking out as he is looking through the viewport of his cockpit either. Once they get to the pirate base they will more then likely be having company either when they get there or as they close-in either one. Zvonimir is ready for action however and confident in the mission's success, and is very eager for some fighting. Dispatching a bunch of pirates is always fun, and they won't have to wait very long as they dropped out in hyperspace closer to the moon.

The group was moving, towards the dead moon and soon got there. They still had nothing on their scanners, though she did get a power signature form the rock. She contacted the others I am getting a reading, on the moon but no life signs. I reckon we stay up in the air, and investigate. After she spoke, she altered her course to investigate it.

They soon would see a pirate base, the place did look like it had some defenses on the ground. She then took an attack run on it, she aimed her guns, at what looked like a defensive laser battery. She swooped in at attack speed and fired her light laser cannons at it. The thing did not fire back and was soon nothing more than a smoking wreck.....

The woman puttered in her seat waiting for something interesting to happen. So far it was a bit unexciting. However when things tended to get interesting they did so quickly. Directing the pilot droid to follow behind Mrs Pink's starfighter they would trail the ship and come closer to the pirate base.

Drali directed the pilot droid to bank in a manner that allowed her dorsal ball turret to get a good angle on the same target as Dani. She opened up a short torrent of laser fire herself, adding to the barrage for a moment. She checked her scanners again wondering if there were any enemy contacts now presenting themselves with overt weapon fire being utilized.

And there is the base and a close up view of that eyesore of a moon. Running the base through the scanners there was no life signs coming from the base. Just as Mrs Pink stated on the comms. Eyeballing it, there are some defenses, a meager amount but they are dormant. Looks like nobody's home. While Mrs Pink and "Red YEET" were destroying that turret battery.

Zvonimir slowed his ship down and continued to fly straight as he was even as Pink and Red went to attack. He could have joined in, got some target practice but didn't. Instead he was keeping an eye on his surroundings, the Anaxes native had the base in his view an if anything pops up on his sensors he'd know. There is a power signature coming from that base so something might be up. Or might not. Those laser cannon defenses didn't do anything even though it could have.

The base seemed abandoned, from the reaction of the defense laser, well, to be honest, the lack of any reaction. This meant no one was guarding the base, and meant well it could be landed on safely. She sent a comms to the other two, It appears nothing is happening down there, should we land and investigate the base? This was a simple question, as they had to work out what to do. Also how they were going to do it.

Nothing happened it seemed. At least nothing that was not what the Imperial trio were not making occur. The woman could blast rocks with lasers all day but that was not being very productive. That's all the base seemed to be, a big silent, cold, rock.

Hearing Dani's suggestion Drali sighed with some dissapointment. "Fine I guess." The woman gave a following order to her pilot droid. It would take them into the open hangar bay. Perhaps the skeleton crew had been killed off or had tried to escape already after the pirate star fighters had been dealt with.

Whatever the case the hangar was empty save for some maintenance droids. A shuttle resided within and its guts were partially pulled out. Clearly it had been worked on. Otherwise there was nothing else of note going on. Still, Drali was on her guard. This place was creepy without even annoying pirates inside it.

"Unless you need me, i'll hang up here" Zvonimir slowed down the speed on his fighter dramatically, staying above the station now. The space is dead up there and there are no life-signs down there. The Anaxes native shouldn't be needed down there. What's the worst that can happen a bunch of random droids versus a lightsaber-wielding Sith? That and even if they dealt with quite a few pirates in the Duro system, there is no guarantee that there isn't more of them. There could be more pirates who could arrive from a different raid at any moment.

With that being said if his assistance down there is requested he'll go along with it. But for now he'd keeping an eye on the sensors and scanners as with before. If anything comes out of hyperspace he'll jump to relay on the comms if the situation changes. If he's being honest, he doubt anyone's going to come.

Dani started making her way down to the base, the flight she had little turbulence but nothing to write home about. The base was nothing more than a few storage containers, with some cloth over it. She landed in the hanger bay, it was empty and utterly abandoned. She was actually annoyed by it, not because there was not one soul to fight, but they never know how they got there hands on imperial fighters. She sent a message to @Zvonimir Augustus, The place is empty, they cleaned the place out, and moved on. She looked at a disappointed, Well I guess we should get back, and just keep an eye out if they strike again. Then with that, she heads out and back to her ship and took off.
