Mission 1: Pirates arn't they annoying

Dani Kortex was in a bar on Korriban, not the one in the academy, but just outside near her offices. She was a recent recruit to Imperial Academy and only recently graduated. She liked the sun and sand here, and took some pleasure in it, though others found it harsh. She was drinking an orange juice, with an umbrella for no reason. She was going over some mission reports, some pirates have been harassing the shipping lanes between the parts of the empire. She was wondering about trying to take it out, but her boss would not sanction it, but she could do it on her own time.

She had a bit of information, on her datapad, and was going over it, when she noticed two others enter the bar. A Deucalian female, and a fellow agent from the academy, she knew his name, so she called him over. Hi Zvonimir, how are you? She was dressed in her uniform, and would probably recognize her.

[Zvonimir Augustus]

Korriban is an eyesore, Zvonimir Augustus believes. It's arid red terrain mixed with those spooky temples and tombs and all that force stuff and this is one planet that Zvon would like to get off of as soon as possible, but alas he is on the planet but not by his own choice. Oh well.

Zvonimir arrived at the bar, not in uniform, instead wearing a casual outfit including a dark space leather jacket and wearing his sunglasses as well, as he does plan on drinking and isn't going to do it in uniform. Not long after entering, he would be called over immediately by the woman. That's the main reason why he is in the bar, other than drinks. He was invited by a woman with a familiar name to discuss something. He doesn't have the full picture, but he has just enough details that this would be worth his time and could be fun.

"Fine, you?" he replied back after he took off his shades and then folded them and rested them on his shirt. With that, he would sit down near his contact. If Zvon was being honest he barely remembers the woman. If you see a lot of faces, they blend in together making them harder to recognize, but the contact's name did sound familiar.

There would be one more person, one that Zvon for sure doesn't recognize or recall from anywhere.

Traing was exhausting work but Zan always had energy to have a drink. She was a regular at the local bars. It was one of the few places she socialized. A pint of ale was the first thing on her mind. She was not wearing her armor for the time being. Instead wearing a simple workout top and pants. It was hot enough on the planet anyways and added layers like her armor and pelts would not do her any favors. Another good reason to ingest a cold draught of beer.

The woman still had her lightsabers on her all the same. On her hip was her blaster as well but anything else she carried in a simple rucksack on her back loosely. In front of her she saw the man move over to the table where a uniformed officer sat. Female, zeltron, somewhat attractive in Zan's opinion. The Deucalian first went to the bar to grab her desired beverage and got two pints of it almost as soon as she saddled up to the bar.

Turning away she followed after the man who was apparently named Zvonimir. The acolyte approached the table the other two had come to and used her foot to drag over another chair before sitting down with a slight groan. She was going to be sore tomorrow but that was a sign of good exercise. The two tankards hit the table with a thunk and the woman leaned back on the chair, it creaked under her muscled frame but otherwise she quietly drank one of the ales.

She had a bit of a frowny face when she realized that @Zvonimir Augustus did not recognize her. She obviously did not use enough pheromones around him, to make her at least noticeable. She did this a lot when working as a dancer, it meant she got better tips. She also did this in classes to get better grades. She decides to lay off the pheromones though for now, and keep people minds clear. She had a little plan to end a small threat to empire commerce and wanted them to join willingly, not under her influence.

She waited for them to be seated, and gave them a broad smile. Then gave them both the data pads, she then said, I have had an idea, to end a small pirate threat to the empire. Since the reunification, and the surge in Mandalorian power, the pirate threat has just been getting worse. They would think it would have been easier to deal with, but the unification of the two bureaucracies, have made them both ineffective. Also factoring the war losses, the imperial fleet could not patrol everything. This meant gaps in the defense of the realm. I found out that there's a pirate group raiding Duro, she continued and then gave them her plan, I think they are small enough force, that we can jump them, and hunt them down to their base, and end one small threat before it becomes any bigger. As if a pirate gang gets more spoils, they attract more people to them, to pry on things like cowardly vultures. They both were already aware this was off the books, as it was not sanctioned, but her boss would not stop her doing either.

Well having good night did that to people demeanor.

Looks like Dani had another woman with her, with her hair and tattoos she sure as heck doesn't look like an Imperial. Maybe she's a Sith or some sort or a hired gun for what Dani is purposing.

Zvonimir sat down, crossed arms as he heard out Dani's proposal. A group of pirates, reading Duro. A small force though. Zvonimir nodded but had a stoic expression as she got the parts about jumping them and hunting them down to their base. That sounds like it could be some good shooting. Something fun, or at least more fun then being on Korriban. He doesn't have much lined up for him at the moment either, so he could go along with this.

"Just a small band of pirates raiding Duro?" he echoed rtheotically as he was reading through the data pad that was given. She's right about ending it before it becomes any bigger. Duros is a Core World and it doesn't look good on the Empire if their prized Core Worlds can get plundered by pirates, especially with the recent woes as of late thanks to the previous Drast emperors. "Well, I'm all for shooting up a bunch of pirates" he declared with a slight smirk. He really doesn't need much convincing. Zvonimir would glance toward the space viking curious if she's going to go along with them. Zvonimir wondered what kind of plan Dani would have to jump them. Just camp out somewhere and hope they run into them?

The woman kept her posture wide and spread out. If she were a man it probably would have been called man-spreading but she did not care. Zan was already a big individual and was feeling somewhat relaxed. With one hand on a knee she used the other one to raise one of the tankard's bottoms towards the ceiling and downed the drink. It was very refreshing, one of the main reasons she kept coming to this establishment.

Letting the container come down, a little bit harder than necessary, onto the table top Zan reached and grabbed the second ale. This one she did not down so quickly as her main thirst had dimmed a degree. Now she could just drink it slower.

Now hearing the other two people present speak she was the only one to yet have voiced her opinion. She looked back and forth between them. "This is there turf yes? They'll have tricks, traps, knowledge of the area. The Deucalian was not one to underestimate her enemy. Even an everyday pirate could be the end of a grand warrior in the right circumstances.

Her two, alternatly colored irises looked at Dani in a scrutinizing manner. Zan lowered her mug in a manner that suggested her entire focus was now set on the agent. "Why are you after these pirates?" She wanted to know the woman's motives.

Dani looked at @Zan and Drali and wonder if her spread legs, was an invitation to play footsie. She had to resist the urge, she was here for business not pleasure. Though it was tempting to see what the woman could do, as she was drifting off in thought, her pheromones did ooze out a bit. Then she began getting back on with the task in hand, and @Zvonimir Augustus seems to be on board with the idea of killing some pirates before they came to a threat. Then Zan asked her question, why these pirates.

She gave her a smile and said Well we don't have an id on their ships, all we can see is imperial ships. They come to attack, and we don't who did it. She hands them her pad, so they could see the reports. They look like they have stealth tech of some sort, as no one sees them coming or going.

The Deucalian woman didn't seem as eager as the young Lieutenant to jump to get a little pirate hunting group going. She raised a good point, essentially stating that the pirates might not necessarily be push overs. Zvonimir acknowledged that, as normally he is the type to go in guns blazing and if the pirates have some sort of trick then he might be flying in at a disadvantage.

It is also curious that Dani pointed out that they haven't been able to get an ID on the pirate ships somehow. "Can't get a ID on their ships? Someone had to have catch sight of the pirates around Duro surely." he looked at the datapad that Mrs Pink handed him, and then offering to pass it along to the Sith woman when was done with it. He was a bit puzzled and intrigued as to how. The datapad has stealth technology as a possible reason as to how, but if this is a small pirate group then how did they get their hands on stealth technology. That stuff is extremely rare and expensive and could have more implications than that. Whatever tactics they are using could play a factor, but he would be thinking of something that would allow them to do their thing undetected. They have so little to go on. But that makes it all the more interesting to Zvonimir.

"Kind of curious on how they are able to do that. We'd have to be careful" he spoke softly here, he kind of stated the obvious there, but maybe it's good everyone would have a word of caution before going in. He's still on board with the mission. "Still, i'm in." he nodded his head, eager for some action.

Listening to Dani's response the Deucalian would just murmur into her mug of ale. It was not good news. That meant they were at a disadvantage and it would be a bit of a gamble. Zan took the data pad and flipped through it with one hand, her large grip allowing her to flip through without letting go of her drink. It was lacking in information but not so much to make it unappealing. They would just have to be cautious.

There was probably more going on with these pirates than met the eye. While the galactic changes that had come and gone certainly allowed for this sort of operation to exist, it did not add up to how successful they had been or the manner in how the pirates had remained covert, avoiding confrontation with Imperial forces.

Putting the data pad back down on the table she looked back over at Dani. Perhaps it was the after workout hormones or perhaps the drink, perhaps it was some sort of trick that Zeltrons were known to utilize, whatever the reason Zan felt an attraction towards the woman. It did not help her bed had been a solitary furnishing for a couple of moons, unless her other half was getting some. All of that did not make Zan forget that her question had gone unanswered. "You didn't answer the question. Why are you after these pirates?" Maybe she had intentionally avoided answering or just forgot. The acolyte was not so quick to trust anybody in any case.

She leaned forward to face @Zan and Drali, touching @Zvonimir Augustus with her foot. She gave a broad smile at her, she could not help herself. Also, the other agent seemed cute, in an uptight way. She then replied to the question of why these pirates, Well, I am curious of how they getting around our defenses, are you not a little curious. As she said that, she shot Zvonimir a wink so that Zan could see. She was game, as it just in her nature to. Then leaned her face a little closer to her, to see if she reacted.

From her seat the Deucalian's eyes remained fixed on Dani. Her reason came but was not nearly satisfying enough. Part of her wanted to have some cliche story about one of her parents being killed by pirates or something. Another wanted a terrible explination that solidified some other suspicion. It was neither but also did not really make Zan trust her.

Killing off some pirates was still a distraction and allowed her to train some of his skills. To face off against some worthy opponents and test her mettle in the fires of battle and on the anvil of war was just what a Deucalian did. Because it helped the Empire it further encouraged the Sith to go along with it.

"Very well. Let's kill some pirates." She shrugged and emptied the last of her beverage into her mouth. Following that Zan slammed it down onto the table and wiped the residue from her lips.

As he sat down and listened to the two, the other woman wasn't as easily convinced as he was to go chase some pirates. Then afterwards someone started touching him with their feet. He looked and it was Dani who smiled at him. Well, this is awkward. There is something about her though that makes her alluring, even though she looks like another human and he can't put his finger on it. Perhaps those Zeltron pheraphones. What is weird about that is the Zvonimir isn't even the one for women, usually being all about himself. He gave a smile back after she winked as well.

Of course, he has self control. Just friendly expressions.

And then Zan was then onboard. And with that, everyone is in agreement as Zvonimir already said he was down. "Alright" Zvon smiled "It will be fun, i'm sure" he hoped. And with that, this meeting has concluded.
