Emryc was focused on getting started on the wound, his free hand holding a medkit when Jaikus made his quip about showing off. The comment drew out a grin before the half Sephi rolled his eyes, knowing fully well it was a smooth recovery from an otherwise dumb decision on Jaikus’ part. The half Sephi eyed him curiously when he stopped him, watching as the Axxilan dug through his bag. Emryc tilted his head slightly to very nosily look in the bag as Jaikus rifled through it. He spotted an assortment of items that piqued his curiosity, “Hmm,” He remarked quietly, “I see you were rather presumptuous about us continuing what we began at the hospital.”
The half Sephi gave Jaikus a half grin before getting distracted by the wipes. Emryc’s features softened then, the simple gesture far more heartwarming than Jaikus would ever know. He took the wipes and cleaned his hand off before returning to the wound. It took extra effort to focus and steady his hand as he stitched Jaikus, his ears flattening whenever the man winced or shifted. He could tell the stitching was deeply uncomfortable, but Emryc worked rapidly enough to put even a droid to shame. He cut the thread and packed up his medkit after putting bandages over the wound to protect it.
Emryc reached into his own backpack and pulled out a full sleeve shirt of his own, extending it to Jaikus, “Put this on,” He declared, “You shouldn’t be wearing your tight bullshit with that wound,” His face made it clear there was no room for negotiation.
The half Sephi packed up and grabbed his backpack and also Jaikus’ since the man was in no condition to carry anything. He walked towards the opposite end of the ice room where the doorway was suddenly open. At some point when they killed the crab the path was cleared for them.
Once Emryc stepped through, he did a double take. There was ground on the path ahead, but the ceiling looked as if water was suspended upside down over them. He saw the ripples and waves of a lake directly above them. The hallway extended into a room at the end of it with a doorway blocking the way.
