THE FLUFF:
Name: Mihal’ii “Miha” Archan

Age: 27

Species: Human

Height: 5'8"

Weight: 75 Kilos

Associates: Alliance

Description: Miha is largely unassuming in stature, standing at the relatively short 5’8” with a heavy set and slight paunch that belies his capabilities. His skin has been darkened, calloused, and lined by years of outside work, from patrolling roads to cutting beams for housing. Atop a chest as broad as a scribe’s desk sits a square face that looks like someone attempted to beat an old frying pan into something more pleasing to look at, before giving up and covering it in a thick beard instead. Tight lips with pale green eyes leering from beneath a brow pulled low create an intimidating visage, but the laughter lines around his eyes and the corners of his mouth hint at his true demeanour.

He wears a simple set of hermit's robes: A long waist cloth that reaches down to his ankles, where pair of well worn straw sandals protect his feet from the dirt and rocks. He covers his upper body with a layered pair of wide sleeved robes, tied at the waist and pinned shut at the neck, the excess of which is tucked into his waist-cloth. The outermost garment is a short open cape secured with a thin chain complete with a collar and tasselled hem, a personal cipher can be seen on the back. Finally, the outfit is kept secure with a wide sash around the waist, which he slips his weapons and several pouches inside of. He’s taken to tying flowers, tree cuttings, and small vials of earth and sand to his scabbard, serving as mementos of the places he’s travelled.

Personality:

Miha is a man of two minds on a number of things. By nature he’s sympathetic and earnest with a strong conviction, attempting to help where he can, or at least not make anything worse. On the other hand, he suffers from a lethal combination of an inferiority complex, and an addiction to gambling and alcohol. He might be intelligent, but he frequently finds the bottom of his cups, and his little patience for things other than combat and wagers. He thinks himself a fool and acts accordingly, risking life and limb for little reward, and biting off more than he can chew on a regular basis. He might be flippant about the whole thing, but it’s becoming clear years on the run with little to show has begun to weigh down on him considerably. He’s making the best of a burden too big for him to cope with, one that he was never supposed to take on, yet stubbornly clings to on the grounds that it was his first genuine decision. While this stress can make him come across as rather brusque at first impression, it doesn’t take long for him to warm up to someone.

History:

Mihal'ii Archan was born into a minor household of Sith Nobility, the youngest of eleven kids, he was mostly left by the wayside. This lack of oversight was really more of a blessing to Miha, he had little interest in the power plays and petty squabbling of the nobility. Instead, he invested his concerns into his hobbies and interests, cooking and swordplay being chief amongst them. In the face of the escalating war with the Alliance, he was eventually pressed into military service. However a general issue with authority meant he was mostly relegated to guarding non-essential researchers and diplomats. Although it was a low-level position, Miha dedicated himself wholeheartedly to it, using the free time it offered to continue his study of swordsmanship as well a few more passing interests. Eventually he would find himself pledged into the service of an Archeologist as they studied the ruins of now destroyed force sensitive traditions

Five years ago, while guarding the researcher as he exhumed remains on Artorias, Miha recovered a journal from the tomb of one Redio “Sweet Tea” Rahim. It was a remarkably interesting read, given where he’d found it; Rahim was a member of a long dead order of martial artists that called themselves the Peregrine Knights, and her journal was mostly a recount of battles fought and won, the blood she had shed for her ideals, quiet moments of tea, and dances with her loved ones. Despite himself, Miha couldn’t help but be charmed by the aphorisms and humour inside the dusty old tome, and for the first time in over twenty years, he wondered just what exactly it was he was doing with his life. It didn’t take much introspection to realise the group he’d been following up until this point didn’t align with his interests, and that nothing he’d done for either his family or the Sith as a whole had brought him any real happiness. “If that’s the case,” he thought, “Then why am I still doing it?”

One night, while rather drunk, Mihal'ii came to a resolution: walking out into the field where his lone ward was hard at work, Miha took a large rock and beat the researcher to death before he had time to realise how stupid of a decission that was. Burning the dead man along with his notes and materials on the Peregrine Knights, Miha bundled his belongings into his ship and fled deep into the Outer Rim. He’s still not entirely sure what made him do it.

For the last five years, Mihal'ii has been working as a mercenary for the Alliance, working both on the front lines and as an labourer with civilians. While he’s been approached by the Jedi a handful times, he’s made it clear that while he’s happy to cooperate, he has no intention of joining their order. Instead, he’s dedicated himself to reading from Rahim's journal, finding wisdom in her philosophy beyond what anyone else could offer him.

Abilities:
For seventeen years Miha was trained in a unique form of swordplay, focusing on channelling the force through one’s body to enhance one’s physical capabilities. In the five years following his desertion, he’s picked up a host of more practical skills: he’s well familiar with most jobs on a homestead, emergency first aid, and the maintenance of most common machines. In regards to more artistic pursuits, Miha’s a talented cook, and something of an expert in tea and cigarras. A strong work ethic along with access to good food and cigarras means he gets along well with most working class citizens.

Assets and Effects:
By necessity Miha only owns what he can carry with him, with the exception of his ship: “Slipshod,” generously “gifted” by his former ward. The Slipshod is a standard Nexus II Light Freighter, save for a few minor alterations and refitting over its new life; Namely: an upgraded kitchen, a personal library, and a small climate controlled garden. It also keeps a well stocked first aid room, to make up for a lack of Bacta Tank.

He’s rarely ever parted from his weapons: a pair of vibroswords constructed from a pair of traditionally forged blades rehoused within a pair of Ultrasonic Vibration Generators. Both swords have a single cutting edge and a slight curve, and a slight indigo discolouration as a side effect of their construction. The shorter blade has an overall length of one meter, with a seventy centimetre long blade, and an elongated disc guard. The longer sword has an over all length of one meter and forty centimetres with a meter long blade, with a wide cross guard with an additional knuckle guard.

A small investment bought him a suit of Combat Armour with an open faced helmet. While he rarely wears the whole suit, it’s not uncommon for him to wear the cuirass gauntlets and boots in more risky situations.

Depending on the situation, Miha might be carrying any number of the following:
A Small tent

Roll up mat

Blanket

Up to a week's rations

Tea set

A hat, headscarf, and cloak for foul weather

Portable stove and fire starter, cooking utensils, mess-kit

Lantern

A pouch of herbs and vegetation for cigarras

Large flask

Trauma First Aid Kit

THE CRUNCH:
Level: 1

Force Sensitive: Yes

Main Concept: Modern Day Wuxia

Miha hails from a long tradition of wandering swordsmen and folk heroes, traveling the land striking down the wicked and serving the common man. Polite, generous, and easy to get along with, he makes for a gracious guest and host, something that’s won him a lot of favours in the past. While he may have no interest in leadership, he's proven to have a good eye for talent and a knack for organising and motivating others.

Flaw: I refuse to stand idle

When the chips are down, Miha will always be the first to rush into danger. He’s a risk taker by nature, with only the threat of innocent people getting harmed being capable of getting him to back down. This behaviour has gotten him into trouble countless times, and will most likely continue to do so.

Obligation: I know this path is wrong. But at least it is a path.

When Miha beat that researcher to death on Artorias, he made the first real decision of his life. The rebellion might just be a flash in the pan, and his wish of becoming a Peregrine Knight nothing more than a pipe dream, but it doesn’t matter to him. He has his own dreams now, and he will never compromise them, even in the face of death.

Edge: Unorthodox Swordsmanship

Mihal'ii spent most of his childhood practising an obscure, nameless precursor to Shii-cho. Notably, it shuns use of lightsabers for physical blades, making use of the force to enhance the cutting power of these antiquated weapons, though Miha has yet to master this specific aspect. It’s core techniques are a series of meditative stances, manoeuvres, and breathing techniques that allow the force to be cultivated internally and aligned to increase one’s striking power, and execute powerful techniques and feats. Hesitation is heresy to this school, making use of guard breaking strikes and deft parrying to force the opponent to either go on the aggressive, or be crushed underfoot. A user is expected to maintain this controlled aggression, exhausting and frustrating the opponent all the while inflicting minor wounds, until felling them in a single decisive blow. The school also places great emphasis on the quick draw, drawing and striking in the moment of the foe’s hesitation.

Wild Card: Internal Force

Miha lacks the training to perform most of the externally focused abilities common to Force Sensitives, such as Telepathy or Telekinesis; Instead he focused internally granting him a deeper understanding of techniques that affect his body, mind, and weapons. Through mastery of his martial arts, Miha has developed remarkable physical strength and speed, throwing blows that can knock enemies far larger than himself to the ground. Through breathing techniques and channelling internal force, he's able to restore his vitality and stamina, and when left to meditate he can heal his own injuries at an accelerated rate. Perhaps most importantly, Miha has a keen ability to sense intent through the force, giving him a small warning ahead of attacks.

He’s made an active effort to distance himself from his history as a Sith, but turning one’s back on the darkside is easier said than done. In moments of desperation, he focuses his fear, loathing, and ambition, channelling them into a Force Rage; abandoning any semblance of restraint for a merciless, unending torrent of crippling blows.

Alrighty, so Andraste's Sith Empire did wipe out out all the other force orders along side the Jedi five-hundred years ago for the most part. It's extremely unlikely that a long standing force-order such as the one as described in your profile would have been untouched until ~500 years later.

So, while you can't be born into this order, you can do a plot to re-found this order and/or discover it's ways/traditions .etc. If you want to do that, you'd have to submit a lore article for the historical group as well. With that all being said, unfortunately a fair amount of the biography will have to be edited.

Smaller things: Can you put the character's specific weight down.

Also, Battlemind and Force Weapon are not canon force powers, and would need a lore write-up before they can be used in the roleplay. We do have the Force Rules here and approved user submitted powers here.

... makes no distinction between light or dark

Just an FYI, keep in mind that in canon the dark side is corrupting and it does not mix with the Light Side at all. If your character were to go in to a rage fueled by dark side then that would taint your character with the dark side with all that which entails, etc
You can't use light and the dark freely together. It's one or the other.

Tag me when changes are made and I'll take another look at the profile. If you have any questions let us know :)

Almost done. Everything else is fine now.

The only thing right now holding this back is "...save for a few minor alterations and refitting over its new life. It’s compromised one tonne of its cargo capacity in exchange for an expanded passenger capacity". I'm not sure if I missed this or not during the inital review

So, normally any alteration of the base stats of a ship would need an approved ship-upgrade in the tech boards (like this thing to upgrade ship capacity .etc). If that can be removed (and maybe submitted later, and if approved it can be added back in assuming it's non-advanced) then I'll approve this profile. The other stuff added on is flavour more than anything else

Just edited out a few inconsistencies I noticed in his app from the first draft, namely mentions of his "Old Order."
