DESCRIPTION
The Merr Sonn 227-KC is the first of it's line from the Merr-Sonn munitions company. The 365 is the first long-range sniper rifle to hit the market in the current century, but not the first ever created. Decades ago there were other sniper rifles available on the open market, but over time these rifles fell into disuse. This was largely due to Imperial rule over much of the galaxy. The call for individualized and specialized weapons fell to an all time low as the Empire sought out easily manufactured general purpose rifles to arm their forces and placed heavy restrictions on most other forms of weaponry. But, times have changes and war is once again on the horizon. The call for advanced and specialized weaponry is at an all-time high. Merr-Sonn munitions stands ready to answer the call. The 227 Kilometer Cutter (KC), is a purpose-made sniper rifle for long range fire support. The rifle features a padded shoulder stock, and high definition scope with thermal imaging settings and various stabilizers throughout the design. The rifle also comes with a bipod stand complimentary of Merr Sonn. The 227-KC can prove indispensable in a variety of situations whether they be offensive or defensive in nature.
LEGALITY
Not blatantly illegal, but on most highly populated and governed planets this weapon would draw the attention of the local authorities and could very easily land a person in jail. INTENT
To create a straight-up sniper rifle, as there didn't seem to be one on the site for the current TL yet.ADVANCED TECH
YES. This is a high powered sniper rifle and while it may be available through various channels throughout the galaxy, it is not cheap and would be difficult to buy, steal, or otherwise acquire. A 2-thread plot would be required.
