APPEARANCE:
Slightly above average height, athletic build. Trimmed short hair, single side-braid. Distinguishing red “all seeing eye” face tattoo on face, and pointed Sephi ears. Usually a stern or focused look, obvious militaristic background given such rigid posture.
ATTRIBUTES & ABILITIES:
Years of dedicated intergalactic law enforcement has kept Malo’aani in top physical form. Detective background has helped with being able to interact and distinguish various alien species across the Galaxy and how to speak with them without being too disrespectful. Surprisingly knowledgeable in galactic navigation despite being from a less developed world. Decent pilot, not one for more flashy maneuvers.
Adept practitioner of Teras Kasi, and excels in close quarter combat. Deeply knowledgeable on use of most standard military weaponry and a well-trained and experienced shot.
While force sensitive, she has yet to discover this about herself. Her force abilities manifest themselves through enhancement of the body or objects and manipulation of surroundings and energy manipulation, not through telekinesis or telepathy that most Jedi know. She is also trained to resist most forms of torture.
PERSONALITY:
Stoic, impatient, and a bit of a hardass. Melo’anii isn’t much of a charismatic joker, but she has bouts of sarcastic quips here and there, usually rooted in impatience. Slightly methodical, but not obsessively thorough; she likes to think things through and have a plan but doesn’t mind if everything goes to Hell as long as her long term objective is complete. Deftly confident in herself and her own abilities, and holds the same expectations of those around her. She detests low self esteem or lack of confidence.
A big hater of hesitation, and a quick to jump the gun or run straight into the action. While not exactly a careless hothead, she isn’t one afraid to get her hands dirty, or carry the burden for others weaker than her. Observant and quiet for the most part, prefers to work alone or with those who have proven themselves to her.
BIOGRAPHY:
Melo’anii’s homeworld was a hugely underdeveloped backwater world that was home to an ancient failed pilgrimage of Sephi colonizers crash landing on a desert world in the southern reaches of wild uncharted space. By the time of Melo’s birth, the colony had survived on the planet nearly two thousand years and largely regressed to roaming bands of warring sand tribes with rough archaic forms of technology primarily focused around survival (weapons or agriculture).
Her caravan was attacked by marauding scrapper pirates and she was taken as slave prisoner along with a few others of her tribe. While en route to a slave trade on Zygerria, the pirates were apprehended by Sector Rangers on a moon within the Kashyyyk system. With no way to return to her homeworld the Sector Ranger helped the survivors establish a new home on Bothawai.
Melo’anii the gets inspired by her savior in wanting to become a member of law enforcement, meanwhile the rest in her tribe largely seem to find a way back home and avoid galactic life and it’s many troubles. Melo’anii spends most of her young adult life training in martial arts and acrobatics, and tries to drown herself with galactic politics and alien subjects at the persistent disapproval of her tribe who wish for a simpler life they were accustomed to.
Eventually, the Bothans help Melo’anii get established working as a defense force officer on Eriadu. It was here where she gained most of her experienced as a police officer, and eventually went on to become a special detective tracking criminals groups passing through the popular spaceport there.
At this point in her life she’s a talented and distinguished intelligence officer secretly working for the Bothans with personal aspirations of joining the Sector Rangers and helping where she cAn, though she recognizes that there is a larger threat to true law and order in the Galaxy thanks to the recent happenings with the Sith and Mandalorian forces. She now is anxious to help the Jedi and overall goal of the Galactic Alliance in finding peace and stability in the Galaxy.
