Open Yavin IV Meditation and Training

Morning on Yavin IV brought the start of the day for many of its inhabitants at the Jedi Temple. The golden rays of the sun shone through the pillars and windows, flooding the temple in warm light. Not many were quite up yet and that made it the perfect time to use one of th many training rooms that the temple had to offer. Daesha's brown robe flutters behind her as her long strides carries her though the halls. Her nods of acknowledgement are all she offers to the other order memebers that she passes.

As the doors of the training room woosh open, the young Jedi pulls off the brown outter robe and tosses it off to the side of the door. At the edge of the room there are racks of training equipment; staves, training sabers of varrying kinds, training remotes, a few stun blasters. A few obsticles to be moved into the arena lay on the sidelines as well. With a wave of her hand a few of the smooth stones, used for honing moving objects with the force, float over to her. She strides across the room to the center and plops down crosslegged in a meditative state.

Closing her eyes, Daesha lays her hands on her knees and enters a meditative state. The stones begin to float around her in a pattern that maintains a slow movement. She clears the thoughts from her mind and focuses her feelings on the Force. Taking a deep breath she began to quietly resite the Jedi Code.

She lets out a deep sigh as her eyes open once more. A grin cracks across her features as she bounces up onto her feet and the stones orbiting around her float back over to their resting place. Daesha holds a hand out as one of the training sabers fly across the room to her hand.

Maru was wandering the halls looking for something to do, it was nice to be home again and he wanted to check in on his fellow brother and sister Jedi as he often did while back at the temple. He was humming a tune smiling and greeting others as they walked the halls. An idea came to mind of going through one of his old training regimes something that once upon a time had been a punishment assigned by his master he had in time turned into a method of training and meditation.

He turned sharply heading into a training hall only to see someone occupying it and he paused "Ah pardon me" he said and he paused looking confused before his finger snapped as he found the name he was searching for "Sister Daesha?" he guess thinking he had gotten the name right. He hadn't interacted with them much of late but Maru prided himself on knowing all of his Jedi brothers and sisters and of course his habit of calling them as such showing again, "I didn't mean to interrupt, was looking to do some training myself" he explained

Turning in an instant, Daesha's confusion as to who was speaking turned to a smile upon seeing the other Jedi.

"Ah, Master Maru." She says as she approaches him.

She shakes her head lightly so her lekku fall over her shoulders. Clasping her hands in front of her she bows to the other Jedi. She wasn't overly familiar with him but knowing the other Jedi's names was just common courtesy to her. She tried to think back to the last time she'd seen Maru around the temple, but the memory seemed to elude her.

"If you're looking to do some training as well, might I offer to be a training partner?"

Her blue eyes seem to sparkle with excitement as she looks up at the man.

Maru couldn't help but a small laugh and he held a hand up in defense "Not a master" he said explaining himself with a warm chuckle shaking his head. He had no ambitions to become a master though the title was flattering and he took a moment to return her bow in greeting.

"I would absolutely love a training partner, better to work with someone then by yourself" he admits putting one arm behind his back and pushing on his elbow. Then he removed the cloak and hung it up as he rolled his shoulders a bit. There on his back was his custom long handled saber reaching from his right shoulder down to his left hip. "Would you prefer training sabers?" he asked curiously as he continued to perform some warm up stretching

"Oh," she looks at the training saber in her hand and wrinkles her nose at how unfamiliar it feels in her palm. With a shrug, she tosses it over her shoulder and grabs her own saber at her side. "I like my own saber more than the training ones. If you're okay with using our actual sabers, then I am as well."

The young woman watches him for a moment before letting out a sigh and following his lead. Sitting on the floor she stretches some, not wanting to pull anything. "Shall we treat this as a real duel?" Daesha aks from her spot on the floor mid stretch. "I mean, can we use Force powers on one another or just the sabers?"

He grinned seeing her reaction to the training saber, he honestly felt the same way about them, good for teaching those who hadn't had learned their own style but he had put work into his own. He reached a hand up grabbing the ringed base at his shoulder and gave the staff a twist to dismount it from its locks and then gave it a few slow lazy spins "I think its only fair to allow both if you use them" he replied honestly. After all he tended to use the force in his own style. "I would suggest we lower the blade power a bit, just in case" he added bringing the emitter and trigger close to adjust the settings. His at least could be altered some, on the lowest level the blade still wouldn't be pleasant to be struck by but at least it guaranteed nobody would be maimed.

With the settings changed his thumb pressed the trigger and with a screech the blade ignited, a vibrant green clearly defined blade that was the same length as the staff itself giving him impressive reach. He spun the staff again twirling the blade behind his back as his left hand held the top ring and his right held the hilt near the blade behind his back striking a variant opening stance for Form V.

He took a few breathes to focus himself and while his grin was warm and inviting his stance shifted slowly becoming focused and then he channeled the force but rather then projecting it he allowed it to flow through his body evenly distributing it throughout his body. "Whenever you're ready" he said playfully

Daesha also fiddles with her saber, bringing it close to her face to inspect the setting carefully. Pleased with the power output she brings her hands down to the floor. With the use of the Force, she launches herself off of the floor and lands on her feet with a skip away from him. Her back is turned to him when she presses the plate on her saber that ignites it. A golden blade blazes to life from the etched hilt.

As she turns to look at him, a grin lifts her features, and her stance changes. Her left hand comes up out in front of her, ready to manipulate the Force to her advantage in this fight, and her right holds her saber up pointed at him at her eye level. The saber bathes her eyes in golden light and sets them ablaze. "Ready yourself," she answers in a teasing tone.

Aimed at him, her right foot slides back slightly before she launches herself forward. Her saber flies through the air towards him.
