[Dravien Arterias]

Dravien rubbed the cut on his cheek as he took a reprieve from his solo training. Being beaten around by Sith wasn't fun, but he had experienced far worse than these wounds. At least they had taught him well during his training. Despite his stoic lotus pose, rage boiled deep inside the Acolyte. He had seen many people die. Now he had power over life and death like never before. Although possessing these newfound gifts. He did not know what his path was yet.

Taking a deep breath the new Sith rose to his feet. He activated the lightsaber. He ran through the basic moves of the Ataru form again, the form which so suited his battlefield demeanor. He waited impatiently for the other Acolyte so he could continue sparring and perfecting his technique.

[Maria Sloviaena]

Late for the duel her ship flew 5 feet over his head and she landed nearby once out she approached the sith with both of lightsabers out and she on her way struck at the red ground. Once there she enabled the training mode on her saber and asked him to do the same.

Dravien instinctively moved out of the way, although the starship wouldn't have hit him. Grunting to himself, he rose and removed the dust from his robes. His opponent strode confidently towards him telling him to prepare himself.

"I dont care much for your little entrance," he stated gruffly.

He turned his lightsaber to training mode knowing it wouldn't kill...but it could still inflict some pain. He would teach this one a lesson about respect. He didnt hesitate to start the spar. He feigned a vertical slash before stabbing for his opponents abdomen. Only seeking to test the Sith's ability, he kept a safe distance and didn't commit much to the attack.

Donalia frantically rushed to defend herself from her oppenents blade with the lightsaber in her right hand. She then swung at her opponent with most of her remaining strength.

 

[Dravien Arterias]

Dravien took the brunt of the attack, but he was not a small man and shrugged it off. He felt he was at an advantage now, having caught her on the wrong foot. He breathed in, feeling the dark side flow through him. Letting instinct guide his actions, Dravien brought the blade around in his own powerful overhand attack.

 

[Maria Sloviaena]

She blocked it mere inches from her body with both of her blades. And then she allowed the force to flow threw her as she kicked him from the left as hard as she could. @Dravien Arterias

 

[Dravien Arterias]

Having put his strength behind the attack, Acolyte Arterias was left open. The kick caught him square in the chest, nearly sending him sprawling. Recovering, he relentlessly attacked again, horizontally slashing once in each direction. All he needed was an opening, even if he took a few bruises he could win.

 

[Maria Sloviaena]

Seeing him do the slashing she used her blades to keep a central canal open and she kicked him again. “I’ll try to not do that again” she yelled out at him.

 

[Dravien Arterias]

Dravien saw the next kick. He wasn't about to be made a fool of. He withdrew his lightsaber and moved back but only slightly. Her foot hit him across the cheek, sliding off as he diverted the blow with his momentum. As he brought his blade in for another blow, warm crimson trickled down the Sith's face. The strike came quickly, using his move to create an opening.

 

[Maria Sloviaena]

This strike hit her and she felt a burning pain but she used it to her advantage by giving into the pain she swiftly struck back with her right blade. The burn was immensely painful and caused her to scream in agony. She positioned her left blade across her chest.

 

[Dravien Arterias]

Her scream of agony awakened something inside of Dravien. He felt as though he was being pulled into a gravity well. As though he was being consumed by the Dark Side. Screams echoed in his ears, like a memory, but far too real. A vision flashed before him. The blood, the death was just as vivid and traumatic as that day. So absorbed was he that the Sith almost didnt notice the blade that cut across his flesh.

The searing pain brought him back to the present. Acolyte Arterias doubled back. He shrugged the memory off, trying to regain his bearings. The shock of the experience buzzed inside his mind, adrenaline pumping furiously. He took a defensive stance, still keeping the rage and agony deep inside.

 

[Maria Sloviaena]

Maria stepped back and combined her lightsabers together and ran at him trying to purposefully lock their blades.

 

[Dravien Arterias]

Dravien was still recovering when the woman charged him. The Acolyte reaction was slow enough for his blade to become entwined between the two blades. He instinctively rolled onto his back, moving his hands to push her blade up and away from his chest. At the same time he forced his right foot into her solar plexus. He effectively was trying to use her own momentum to fling her across the room before recovering.

She flew back far but landed on her feet and slid a little bit but she rose to her feet and split her blades again preparing for a strike. She ranted to herself “He can come at me but he shall not hit me with one of his blades for I have the high ground now.”

 

[Dravien Arterias]

Dravien dashed forwards, delivering a strike to her blades. It was not a fully committed attack however, as he followed up with a force push to catch her off-guard before attacking again. She may have the defensive advantage, but so far he had managed to wear her down. All he needed was a few more openings and he could win the sparring match.

 

[Maria Sloviaena]

While Maria’s two lightsabers were distracting the blade of her enemy, her right foot was being dragged through the loose sand of Korriban. As she approached the opponent she lifted her foot and quickly approached his unprotected shin. With his foot travelled a bunch of red sand also flew in his direction. She focused in on her opponent and used the force to guide the sand towards the face of her opponent ensuring she would not also get hit by her own attack.

[Dravien Arterias]

Dravien matched her telekenesis, accelerating the dirt away from his face. He then feigned an attack before using the force to grab a hold of her leg on the ground. If successful, he would use the force to pull her feet out from under her or at keast knock her off balance.

She lost her balance and fell to the ground. As she laid there on the crimson ground she came to realize the (training) duel is over and she had lost. She then loudly announced “You win now...want do you to go out for a drink?”
