DESCRIPTION​

In the modern field of war, old tanks like the Occupier and Imperial-class are becoming obsolete against newer anti-vehicle weapons. Kuat Drive Yard's solution? The MBT-09 Shockwave. The MBT-09, known informally as the EmBee, is a highly capable multipurpose tank equipped with some of the most advanced vehicular tech available. Using tracks instead of the more common repulsorlifts, it is immune to common repulsor-specific jamming and mines, both of which are becoming extremely common in modern militaries and even small-time defense forces. Its cycler cannon uses electrically charged rounds to increase penetration capability and damage. unusually, its normal loadout includes only two types of ammunition: The main type is AMP (Advanced Multipurpose), a round that can switch between airburst, high explosive, and a function that increases the shot's ability to destroy obstacles. The other is a standard armor-piercing round. The MBT's targeting systems utilize the most advanced laser rangefinder and targeting options available, as well as a TACDIS for the vehicle's commander. The MBT-09 has two concussion missile launchers attached to the rear of the turret capable of providing either indirect fire support or direct fire. Being top of the line, however, does not mean that this vehicle forgoes basic amenities. It is equipped with hooks mounted on the side of the hull for carrying logs and other equipment and has spaced armor plates covering the tracks to minimize the chances of the running wheels or the tracks themselves being damaged by near-misses.

The crew layout is simple: the driver sits in the front and slightly to the left, while the gunner sits in the turret. The commander is seated slightly behind the gunner. All three crewmembers have independent viewports and access hatches. In place of a loader is an autoloader that not only reduces the amount of required crew but increases the rate of fire.

Restricted. The MBT-09 is an advanced combat vehicle and can only be operated by a licensed PMC or military.

To create a newer, more advanced tank based on real-life tank designs.

RESTRICTIONS​

It can be used freely by characters whose factions would own one or by players who had come to own one during RP. Characters using the tank will be expected to have NPCs act appropriately when they ride around in a battle tank - namely that they will react poorly in most cases.
