Maybe someone could explain to me the purpose of a sub-account before I start on character creation?

Sub-Accounts are needed in order to 1) post in Role-Play forums and 2) earn credits in order to level up your character. See the quote below:

Credits are automatically earned by posting with your character sub-account(s). Every 100 words equals 1 credit. In order to advance to level 2, a character must achieve 750 credits

Oh, you are a life saver! I didn't realize I was hitting the submit button more than once and it kept telling me I needed to choose a different name. I feel like an idiot.
