Affiliation: Cthaoik-Tam Order of ShamansOwnership: Rashkavel Svutosk, Exotic sects, others who may have ample justification.
Intent:
To create a new and interesting weapon that utilizes a kind of fighting style that has never been seen before in this saga. Some of the more exotic sects could begin using this as an alternative or compliment to a Lightsaber. I have always thought that with the variety and sheer scale of people's who have used the force and made their own force sensitive orders, someone would come up with something other than a glow sword as their weapon. It also creates an interesting cultural trait for the Basaakith.
Type: Mid range soft weapon. Modeled off of the Chinese meteor hammer
Size: Chain is 2.5 meters long, with orbs on either end each with a diameter of 82mm
Composition: Chain is made from durasteel, with small nobs on the ends made from a series of complex alloys and metals that hold and ignite the center orbs. The center orb is composed of a semi organic substance that contains various reactive chemicals that become plasmatic upon the devices activation.
Description: The Marakokal is an exotic weapon created as one of the ten traditional Cthaoik-Tam tools of combat. The chain has been dipped in sacred purified Ekäshn, causing it to be continuously enveloped in an aura of ambient force energy. This acts as a protective field that armors the chain against most attacks. A common utilization of this features is to wrap the chain around the blade of a Lightsaber or other weapon and use it to disarm an opponent. The spherical ends are composed of a chemical component that appears like an oddly colored pearl when unactivated. When they are activated, the pods will convert their outer layer into a plasma membrane that will glow one of several colors based on the specific chemical makeup of the pods. This Plasma membrane is kept active by a self sustaining electromagnetic reaction that will energize the reactive chemicals and force them into this state upon ignition. The resulting substance is highly unstable, and is kept in its shape by a magnetic field that surrounds the sphere. This actually makes the plasma spheres safe to touch, though they elicit a small shocking sensation. Upon experiencing a notable impact, such as when connecting for a blow, the plasma will "bounce" violently, releasing a kinetic pulse. It's energetic layer is also able to deflect blaster bolts off of its surface. It has been discovered that by rapidly spinning one end of the chain along a specific length, one can temporarily expand the electromagnetic field across the center of the created circle, effectively creating a force field.
