Roleplay Journal
Curious, witty and adolescent are all things one might think of when first dealing with Mani on a personal basis. As his age might make one think he has a tendency to act immature at time. Most often he is aware of these and continues to do so regardless enjoying his youthful ignorance and jesting when it comes to others just because he rarely means anything serious by any offenses he may have caused in the process. Generally easy going he more often than not has a smile on his face and if he isn't making the jokes he keeps a smile and stays quiet occasionally contributing.
Mani is exceptionally patient as well as flexible in various situations which help in both professional and social areas. He learned to be a good hunter one must be patient as well as turning odds in one's own favor. This most often took the form of camouflage and stealth when hunting game in the wilds but in a social setting Mani often puts on a mask of casual comfort.
Though he appreciates good company he likes solidarity and introverted thinking. This has led to intentional self-distancing from those of his home while allowing for greater independence and reliability in the professional setting. A sharp mind is his greatest asset though socially his good looks could win his way to a few girl's hearts. He enjoys learning new things though his youth leave something to be desired and he still yearns for all things young men do whether it be cheap thrills, some of the more interesting pieces of technology or romance. So far Mani tends to find the first when ever he wants and enjoys his toys when ever he can get his hands on them.
Biography
Born on Concord Dawn to a loving mother and father Mani lived a happy life along with an older sister. The family owned a sizeable amount of land and farmed some of it for little more than subsistence intent. his father was a private contractor up until Mani was four years old and returned home. the four of them lived a simple life on the edges of town. One of Mani's favorite memories was the time his father took him out into the woods to learn how to shoot. this was the start of his fascination with guns and hunting.
Though his mother was resistant at first his father taught him how to hunt and basic survival. Mani's mother was afraid he would like it too much and become a mercenary or bounty hunter and get himself killed but he was far too young and his own father wouldn't allow it. So the young boy grew up going to school, learning how to farm, maintain various equipment and learn second-hand from his father how to be somewhat of a handyman. His father had learned a great deal from his exploits in his time out in the galaxy. Often when he was younger his father would tell him fantasies of the worlds and adventures heroes would have, of things he claimed to have seen that must have been fiction. But as he grew older his father's stories seemed to be less magical but no less interesting and instead attainable goals of his own.
Eventually at the age of sixteen Mani got a look at his old man's gear that he had kept locked up for over a decade. Surprisingly it wasn't decrepit or worse for the wear despite not having been used in ages. The boy confronted his father thinking he had been lying and still performed mercenary work or planned to soon. But his father told him something he hadn't expected. He told him that he didn't want his son to grow up without a father, without a home and love. But he also understood that his son was young and had to forge his own path. Mani had been looking into various things that were based off world, university studies, living abroad, expeditions, all were exciting ventures that could lead to unknown possibilities. But his father could only offer him so much. they weren't wealthy, powerful or famous. His father had the few things left over from his violent days and the wisdom he had given to his son, a great deal more than the other kids in the town could probably imagine.
this was the first time his father had told him about the darker side of mercenary work. the true violence of taking another's life was not something to take lightly. this Mani knew and still understands to this day. it was his father who instilled a code of honor even when things got tough and some rules had to be broken.
Surprisingly Mani didn't go off on his own at the first chance he got. He knew the galaxy was out there and still would be no matter what and there was no rush. The boy stayed on planet for a year after his eighteenth birthday, taking road trips to other areas on Concord Dawn and even visiting the mining areas on Concord Dawn's moons. He had trained in the wilderness and with his father to hone his skills as a marksman as well as learn as much from the wider galaxy. Though much more experienced and learned than most men his age he still had a lot to learn and a lot to experience, all of which he looked forward to with a smile.
A few months after his twenty first birthday the handsome young man decided to finally leave. He had done research in the previous months and had understood the Sector Rangers were as good a job to get into as any. He always wanted to get in on some of the action. He had seen the holo-vids of men who lived life by the gun but knew that they were exaggerated and yet he still decided to join. he knew the Concord Dawn Marshal Service was a choice but wanted to travel more. He got a year under his belt and simultaniously began studying other subjects through holo-net classes from various universities.
But Mani was not satisfied with the Rangers. A few years went by and he stayed with them because of their stability but even that started to dwindle when they were seen in less and less desirable lighting by the public eye. funding was going down and benefits were sure to follow. the man knew he had to find something else that felt better than the work he was doing and so finished he classes and quit the Sector Rangers though still kept them in the back of his mind in case he wanted to return one day.
the young man found his way to the Accord or rather the Void which is the Accord's home base. he had heard about the mandalorian culture that the organization possessed and appreciate the familiarity but also the difference from what the Rangers couldn't offer him. the pay was better, the rules were more loose and he was able to travel much wider and freer than in the past. on top of that he met plenty of interesting people.
now he has worked with numerous members of the Accord growing exceptionally close to a few. namely a gal named Red haired Rico. they worked together extensively but unfortunately she was tricked by a former coworker and sold into slavery. Mani tracked her down but she was killed in the crossfire. now he lives back home on Concord Dawn for the Marshal Service, overseeing family endeavors.
