Affiliation:
Mandalorians

Ownership:
Tionas Skirata

Intent: I had the idea of creating the Star Wars equivalent of Sun Tzu's Art of War, and who else would make it but the Mandalorians?

Model/Name: Mandokar: Words of the Mandalorian

Type: E-Book/Trade Paperback (Archaic)/Hardback Book (Archaic)

Size: 34 MB/ Six inches tall by three wide by one deep/Six and a half inches tall/ Three and a half inches wide and one and a half deep

Composition: Data/paper

Description: A galactic classic, Mandokar was published several thousands of years ago by Mandalore the Uniter, and has become a staple in most modern military leader's libraries. Providing advice from leadership, "To earn respect from others, one must first respect themselves." to politics "A wise man will work towards the future without forgetting the past or compromising the present." and even to family "Cherish your time at home. For long are the days of battle, and short are those of respite."

These proverbs are heralded throughout modern culture as tenants every leader should live by, both on the battlefield and at home.

(OOC Note many of these proverbs can be found here)

I fail to see any reason why this needs to be posted in the technology forum. This is something that could go in a player workshop just fine.

Also: Even if it were something to belong here...you're supposed to put it in the unapproved section first. =P

Shite, it's late and I have too many ideas. Could someone please move this to the player workshop?

Whats it's point? Unless people have read "TAOW" no one will even know the kind of stuff this contains. Also; what would Mand'alor know about politics? Unless you're taking from the canon we are currently using which would mean this sentence makes no sense.

who else would make it but the Mandalorians?

Well plenty of people. Jedi Generals? SBZ Warlords? High Commanders of the BA?

Why wouldn't it be the mandalorians, who live and breathe warrior? The galaxy's most respected and feared warriors.

And by current timeline canon we have mandalorian senators, so I'd say they know quite a bit about politics

They don't, and in current canon, those things that happened to make them said warriors is few and far between.

Hence, any warriors in the Galaxy could write it, all of which there is significant evidence to support that they could.

I mean sure, it's a harmless book for fluff. I just don't want the Mandalorians to get pigeonholed by one dimensional fando stuff!

Worry not, mandalorians are in good hands here. I've been a mandalorian player for almost my entire time on this site (except in the beginning of the fourth timeline when we didn't have mandalorians outside the taung) and was even the mandalore for a time.

That all said I imagined this as a book written as a joke, ala the mandalorians selling the empire a disused theme park by telling them that it was a religious site, thousands of years ago but that jokes meaning was lost. Just some guy figured that if he got together with his friends and just wrote down all their proverbs and how to relate them to everyday life they could make a fortune. And they did. And nobody remembers them
