Affiliation: The Accord, Mandalorians

Intent: To create a specialized set of Mandalorian Armor fitting for the group, it's backstory, and the operations it undertakes, as well as giving the possibility for other Mandalorians to use it on their characters if they so choose.

Model: Mandalorian Tactical Armor

Weight: 22kg

Composition: Plasteel shell w/ a layer of Durasteel underneath the plates.

Rating:
Blaster Pistols: 3 Shots
Blaster Rifles: 2 Shots
Pistol: 3 Shots
Rifle: 2-3 Shots

Description: This armor, first created and manufactured by members of the Mandalorian Crucible during it’s time raiding, is designed to allow Mandalorian Soldiers a tactical armor for use in extensive campaigns in a multitude of environments.

The armor is comprised of connected plates covering approximately 75% of it’s wearer. There are no plates across the sides of the armor, as well as places on the arms and legs. The armor is only designed to protect a soldier’s vital areas, and allows for optimum maneuverability in combat with maximum protection.

Each plate is constructed with a layer of plasteel and a layer of durasteel, each layer half the width of a regular armor plate. The plasteel’s purpose is to primarily protect against the energy in a blaster bolt, while the hard durasteel protects against shrapnel, explosions, and solid projectiles. The layers are bonded together and sealed, creating a single solid plate.

Each plate is linked together with solid durasteel couplings, attacked on both sides of the plating to ensure they don’t become detached in combat. Each plate is also attached to the bodyglove or jumpsuit underneath using metal attachment points.

The armor comes equipped with attached waist pouches, capable of carrying a multitude of items such as tools, grenades, detonators, ammo, etc. It also has variable magnetic boots, which can be controlled from the Gauntlet.

The helmet has an integrated HUD, which helps the operator manage comms and track targets. It can also be used with an integrated or external rangefinder.

While the Accord is capable of producing a limited amount of these, most current models are modified versions taken from the Crucible’s former days. This also means most current units have been repainted from their stock green to fit the current or former owner of the armor.

Absolutely disgusting.

Also, heavy armour is 3 hits maximum, regardless of what's shot at it. Or 1 hit, if it's lightsaber resistant.

Plaster bolts are deadly!

PS: I think your armour is much too light for having plates made of layers of two different metals.

I'll bump the weight up to 23 and clarify the thickness of the plates. That sound good?

Absolutely disgusting.

No problem, I'll bump the pistol down to 3.

Figured you might want to use this. :D

Hmm. Ok, so here are my thoughts on those two armors. The version i'm currently using is a Mandalorians Armor Build reinterpreted as military armor. That is much the same. However, that is real armor, and if you look at the design besides the helmet, I think it looks somewhat generic.

That being said, I think the helmet looks fantastic once you remove the attachment on the front, and I may decide to swap the helmet here for that one.

Regardless, thanks for posting it up! :D

It's actually just the latest rendition of the picture of the armor you posted earlier. The artist who created the armor was able to coordinate with a real armor manufacturer to make what you see in the pic I posted. The "attachment"=functional PVS14 night vision goggles. Lol. It's a pretty neat project. Basically a bunch of star wars fans in the tactical industry decided to make functional mandalorian armor.

Sorry for the confusion, i'm not really a military junkie XD

But yeah, I did hear about that project, and considered it for use here. But I just like the style of the first armor a bit better.
