Iban Salid disliked rain. But he had to deal with the environment so he could complete a very, very important task today. Most recently a competitor had sent him greetings of a sort. In the message was a great many things, most of the information provided in the communique was aimed at a business deal.

For several years since the Merkatua's inception, Iban had been desperately trying to enter the business of the Core Worlds. It had been difficult work thanks to various organizations already implanted in the Core. One or two had fallen quickly once Iban had put forth his personal attention, but there were just a few more holdouts. They had the business minds to continue working even while a large organization such as Merkatua weighed down upon them.

Esomos Resurgam. That was the man Iban was to meet. If Iban was the most powerful Spice Dealer in the Galaxy, Esomos Resurgam was the most powerful dealer in the Core. And the message that was communicated to Iban was that Esomos was ready to lay down to Merkatua and become a part of it. What luck.

That was why Iban Salid was entering in the club known as Galactic Fusion on Coruscant. To either destroy and enemy once and for all, or gain a valuable ally.

(Sorry for the wait, kinda distracted)

Esomos was nervous, he was about to confront one of his largest rivals and propose the business deal of a life time. He waited patiently across the street of his proposed meeting place waiting to see if his rival was arriving with good intentions. In the spice trade, you can never trust another spice lord without cause so for all he knew, he had signed his own death warrant.

Once Iban arrived without a hitsquad he decided it was safe. Esomos cassually walked across the street to enter Glactic Fusion. Everyone there knew him and would do anything for him if things went south, so it was the perfect place for the meeting. He entered the door and spotted Iban.

"Iban! My old friend! What a coincidence!" he said to divert suspicion.

"Come sit down, lets catch up on the times."

He guided Iban to a booth in the back were a waiter was waiting.

"Get us a bottle of Corellian Ale and some glasses, please." He said to the waiter as he sat down. "Please... sit" he said to the Spice lord

Iban sat as designated.

"You come here often, don't you Eso?" As the waitress came back, Iban thanked her and accepted his ale. He drank it slowly, trying to taste for any poisons. With a Spice Lord, you never know.

He could taste no poison, or smell one for that matter so he drank more fully.

"Haven't had Corellian ale in quite awhile. Business distracts me of course."

(It's all good Trippin)

Eso took a large gulp of ale.

"Its business that gets me drinking it" he said with a laugh.

He sat down his glass and leaned back "Speaking of such... How did you like my plan?" He said eagerly.

"Well, it was quite interesting. I didn't expect it from a staunch opponent like yourself, so clearly something has happened that pushed you to change. But it is for my better so, lets sort out the details now."

Iban finished his drink.

"Why."

Eso leaned forward putting his elbows on the table.

"Its a matter of sustainability, at this time it is impossible for us to sustain ourselves for much longer. We have the strongest presence in the core, as you already know, but we don't have the man power to fight both the Hutts and the law, we have been losing territory faster than ever and were using all of our forces to prevent this while there both only using fractions of there's." He sighed "Also there is a much more impending problem..."

Eso looked around to see if anyone was near and said with a lowered voice "We lost our connections on Rori, they were taken out by the Hutts, and now the others are too scared to provide spice for us all we have is death sticks and very little spice from Corellia. You control Sevarcos II, that's alot of spice, more than you need on the outer rims. You could get rid of it much quicker rather than having it sit Lok or Dantooine waiting for the junkies to "need" more." He said looking the Spice lord in the eyes.

"You mistake yourself thinking I have to wait for junkies before I can move my product." Iban spat on the floor. "Trust me my business extends far across the galaxy. The Core is merely the next step." Iban contained himself for a moment and thought.

"So a mixture of the law and Hutts started the collapse of your organization." Iban thought to himself for several minutes, tinkering with his ale cup.

"What are your terms?"

"I dont mean to offend, i only interpret the business as I see it." He said trying to back the conversation up. "Anyway, if the core is the next step, this is the only logical path, the Hutts would soon be taking it as ive explained."

He paused for a moment thinking to himself, staring at the table. He looked up and said "50".

"Hell to that. I can deal with the Hutts by myself." Iban started to stand.

"The Hutts fear me. They should because I will walk right into their palaces and kill every single one of the slugs." Iban Salid sat once more at the table. "If you can't make me a real deal, then, I will show you why those fat slugs cower from me."

"Im not saying you cant do it, im saying its unnecessary." said trying to reason with his rival.

"Im the only logical choice. But i realize my last price was a little unfair, as its your spice. Im willing to go 30."

"I have a better idea." Iban had thought about this briefly before coming to this meeting.

"Instead of worrying how much I should buy your cartel for, you, you come to work for me. I need a man with experience in the Core. Sure, in a few years I will be the only person running Spice through Coruscant, Corellia, and Kuat, but we can speed up the process. Come be my Lord of the Core, and you can get revenge against those who have been slowly carving up your business."

The waitress came by and dropped off another mug for Iban, who took it gladly.

"What do you say, Eso?" Iban stuck his mug out as custom was to make a agreement while in a drinking area.

(Tbh i thought thats what you meant when you asked for a price lmao)

He lifted his mug thought for a minute and said "Ah, why not." And hit his glass against Iban's.

"Do you want to go over the specifics now? I believe i know the numbers well enough, but if you want a second opinion..."

"Start talking about the territory you own, heads of people who work for you, any ships you have. I need to know how this will all fit."

(Sorry for the wait again)

"Territory i personally own? A few safe houses on most of the major planets in the core and Stronghold in the Ageyn Foothills on Talus. Or did you mean that i control? Everywhere between Duro and Coruscant with a few exceptions has my influence. Ill need to get my datapad out to get the exact number of 'workers'."

Esomos got his datapad 1997 mercs, 256 local bosses, 160 planetary bosses and 32 system bosses and my 3 advisers. We dont move our stuff personaly we have 15 or so smugglers that we only trust to do it and they have there own ships, most mercs we hire to do extra planetary jobs have there own personal ships. Personally i have a Varges Yacht for my travel."

"Good. Start communication to all those in your operation that members from Merkatua will be arriving to begin the.....transformation into a new cartel. Good?"

Iban didn't really care, that was what he was going to do regardless of what Eso thought. But it would be nice to hear what his new Lord of the Core thought.

"The only people that are worth telling are my advisers and the sector bosses, to the rest its all the same, theres so many ranks stacked below me that im not sure if the street level guys even know who i am to be honest" Eso laughed.

"Well, I'm quite hungry, you?" Esomos said finally able to get comfortable.

"Yes, some food would be a good idea. Maybe we could discuss some of your new responsibilities and several things you will have control of under this new title."

((OOC: okay, we need to wait for Dancing to post some, it's a good point for the UI to get involved.))

[Sorry for the wait fellas, I just woke up and ate breakfast.]

Boy, had Rascus caught some rats in the act. He had just got a few holo-recording of the whole conversation between the two crime lords. If this didn't convince the Alliance that these guys were a problem, Rascus did not know what would. With him, was agent Dolse Boboida, a nice young Rodian chap who knew his way around the slums of crime.

"We've enough on this recorder. I know this is your first bust, but it'll be pretty straightforward. Let's go."

The Galactic Fusion was the perfect place for a bust. Not too many people, and not too little people to draw attention to yourself, either. Rascus, slipping his camera-pen inside of his coat as it were nothing, turned around from the bar to indirectly walk towards the two crime bosses. He looked like he was going to exit on the set of doors right to the men he wanted. The Captain Agent signalled for Dolse to go for the left doors.

Rascus also mouthed a barely audible word of some sort into his comm; it sounded like it was Bocci, probably to alert the police force outside to get ready if they tried to make a break for it.

Walking up to the door, and now behind Iban, the Captain Agent tapped his shoulder lightly. By now, Dolse -should- be behind Eso's chair.

"Excuse me, sir, you haven't paid your tab,
and you're under arrest."

Rascus moved his leopard gun from under his coat to behind Iban's chair. He didn't want to kill them, so it was loaded with incapacitating rounds. He was ready if the crime boss tried anything funny.

Iban stared at the man who had just pulled a gun on them. He chuckled to himself.

"Let me see, we pay our tab once we are finished with our drinks, am I right Eso?"

He then put up his hands, "As for the arrest....maybe you should think twice about that."

At that point a couple of the people in Galatic Fusion turned and showed they were not just patrons looking for drink. They were enforcers, some of Iban's best. Where Rascus' Rodian agent had left, came out another enforcer with his agent in tow.

"Mister, what happens to be your name?"

Before the man could speak Eso cut in "His name i Rascus Poquiu, of the Universal Investigations. He is the Head of Universal investigations if i'm correct. Someone ive had my eye on for a while."

Esomos reached into his pocket revealing his datapad "If i press one button on this, this can all be done the hard way."

Eso let out a chuckle and said "Theres no need for violence today guys, just call off your cops Rascus and everything will go fine."
