((OOC: This thread is loosely ask. If you're part of the Republic/Hutts, then the chances are it'll be a yes. This is just so we don't have every last Hutt char/Republic char at once.))
There was a flash of light, and the heavens seemed to rupture in a burst of incandescence that lit up the night sky above the planet Iktotch. Then another, and another, and yet more. As the flashes subsided they left behind them a ship, each one of them, a ship of the Hutt military. For Iktotch had drawn unfortunate attention to itself, unfortunate attention that would see them punished. It was not an act of obstinacy by their leaders, nor an act of aggression which provoked the attack; they were not even a member of the Galactic Republic, who the Hutts were fighting against. No; the Hutts were instead attacking this for the simple reason that Iktotch was a key staple in the Corellian trade spine, a trade spine which ensured that a healthy supply of goods would be getting through to the Republic, so that they could ensure their survival and prosperity at the expense of such organisations as the Hutt Empire. That would end now. That would end soon. That would end today. There would be no negotiations, no kindness, no favours, no mercy.
Just bloodshed and punishment.
As the ships began to wheel into orbit above the planet below, they seemed almost to be preparing a gateway for two more ships, to come through and begin the attack. One such ship, and the one to burst through in the next hyperspace rupture, was the flagship of the Hutt fleet. As the hulking behemoth Abolition emerged above Iktotch, Venator Furtificus, Supreme Commander of the Military Forces of the Hutt Empire looked up from his desk, in full armour. "Situation report!" He barked across to his Senior Officer.
The man looked up, his headphones over both ears.
"All ships present and correct, sir! No losses, although the Gaeta reports minor engine difficulties."
Furtificus nodded, looking at the radar above the command table both his hands were spread over, as the small defence force of Iktotch began to marshal itself. They were like pathetic ants, ready to be crushed beneath the mighty booted foot of the Hutt military. Both Furtificus' forces and the Taung were here, the flagship of whom, bearing the Mandalore, would emerge next.
To assist with the destruction.
All in all, an entire fleet was under Furtificus' command, with another half a fleet positioned some distance away but able to come if called; they, however, would not be needed to crush the small defence of Iktotch. That made, in total, one hundred and forty two ships, ultimately, at Venator's disposal. Ninety five for the Iktotch mission. "Get me a line to the Mandalore."
Venator barked at his Senior Officer, and the man hit a few keys.
"Done, sir!"
"Mandalore," Venator picked up the communications system, and spoke into it. "Our forces are strong, and Iktotch will take short time indeed. From there we can move onto the second part, the blocking part. I'll issue the ultimatum now." Venator's Senior Officer was a step ahead of him.
"Line established with the Iktotch government, sir! Their communications have also been jammed!" Venator nodded.
"Government of Iktotch, this is Venator Furtificus, Supreme Commander of the military forces of the Hutt Empire. This is a non-negotiable issue; you will surrender and turn over all military barracks and government buildings to the Hutt Empire, and prepare for occupation."
"Or we will begin killing."
