I don't want to have worked really hard to gain prestige within the order, only to have some guy who has been amassing an army in the background to bash me head in.

Then be a real Sith and amass power on your own or don't be a threat to someone else's power? Becoming Dark Lord of the Sith is a powerful position while also painting a big ol' target on your back, forehead, chest, and other locations. That's kinda how the Sith are, mang. I don't know how to put them into a better light because they are the Bad Guys.

@Tsunami Power plays only really affect your Sith gameplay if you're stupid enough to provoke feuds with other Sith, or attempt to gain some sort of leadership position. Generally, if you're plotting, expected to be plotted against. Otherwise, the vast majority of Sith can go about their day to day lives without any problems.

Okay, so I'm not really sure about this, but dos it bother anyone that Jedi only have 3 squares? I mean, all the other factions have at least 7. Not to mention they are really far apart. And since it sounds like the Jedi Order is going to be a little more military based, wouldn't it make sense for them to have more territory? It just doesn't really make a lot of sense to me.

The Jedi are not conquerors. The only people who may have taken territory by force is the Sith. The Jedi don't need a lot of territory imo. That being said there is no reasons why they can't build outposts on planets other than what they have when the timeline starts, but it would make very little sense for the Jedi to have as much as anyone else.

@Tsunami Thanks that helps a lot.

Mainly just trust the admins. I think a lot of the talk in the Jedi Order thread is that of "We are more militant and therefore a lot of our time will be spent on cruisers" So don't look at the map and feel like you'll be at a disadvantage or let it discourage you from playing Jedi if you wanted to!

Yeah that might be the case, considering that their territories are very spread out.

Question on this, and forgive me if this has been asked already lol: But is the map that is shown on the first post what we're going to be using or is that just an example? if the latter what will the final map look like?

@Kenico it is more or less the map we are using for the next timeline. A couple of small high lighted area were set for example and there may be a planet or two added but the main faction territory and the overall galaxy layout is what will be used.

Per Taz. Basically the only changes are that I've added Chandrila and that the example territory for independant factions (In white, around Bespin and Hoth) has been removed. The main faction territories are as shown.

EDIT: Oh, and Takodana's been moved slightly, but it's NDB.

@Green Ranger What happens if an active Senator's planet is taken over by the Sith? Does he cease to be a senator and be "demoted" to an ambassador type position?

Good question - and it largely depends on the Senator themselves - they could still theoretically hold a position in the Senate, but they would more or less be one person speaking on behalf of an occupied territory, so the amount of influence they could have over the Senate would be massively diminished, but yeah it'd most likely be in a more ambassadorial role rather than an actual seat in the Senate with full voting privileges etc. For the sake of simplicity, they'd probably be treated in a similar way to a representative of a faction that doesn't exist within the Republic (like an independent faction's chosen delegate, for example)

On the other hand, I imagine a lot of members' Senators will either join the BA and try to reclaim their world or leave the Republic and act as an indie character, but there's a few options available.

Ok, I think this answers my question. The main thing I was wondering was if they would automatically be removed per site rules kind of thing. If understand what you are saying that won't be the case? But the climate of the Senate and its personalities could cause said senator to be ostracized, effectively removing him form whatever former position he held. I think this could occur more for the BA Senators who are in segments with small planet numbers or at least those areas which are sparsely populated. Where my senator will be from.

Not quite, though it would probably equate to a sizable demotion of sorts. Since the planet in question of the scenario in the Senate has been conquered by a foreign power, the local ruling government is effectively overthrown in the process - so while the Republic doesn't necessarily have to recognize the new ruling body, anything they try to enact in the Senate - and anything the Senator of the world would try to vote on - is effectively meaningless. So the Senator probably wouldn't have voting privileges (since they no longer represent the leadership of the planet, recognized or not), but could still represent their government-in-exile in a more ambassadorial nature.

Thank you very much. It looks solid and I'm looking forward how the Main and Indi factions change the landscape as the story progresses :)

If it's an existing canon or legends planet? Nope, it should be fine.
