Like any adolescent, Maeve is both formidable and enthusiastic. To her, everything is a sport, a game to play. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose but it’s having fun that counts. Unusual as she is, the hybrid embraces her quirkiness - she owns it! And will not yield to no one. Compromise is a bad, bad word - taboo, even. As her daddy diddums always said, why fit in when you were born to stand out?

▵Biography
Maeve is the product of a passionate, but short-lived affair between a Zeltron bachelor and nomadic Miraluka mother. Hannele, a member of the Miralukan sect of Luka Sene, traveled quite extensively during her youth; unlike many of her kin, she was not afraid to venture out into the galaxy and explore. This is primarily due to her curious and academic nature. Whilst on one of her voyages, she became acquainted with the Zeltron business tycoon, Vax Zyanya. The Zeltron was a selfmade man and over time had opened a series of successful nightclubs all over Zeltros. Many attribute Vax's success to his willingness to go off-world and immerse himself in foreign cultures. Then, possessing this knowledge, Vax updates and customises his clubs, ensuring his patrons get the full immersive experience. The chemistry between the two was instantaneous and from their union came a daughter whom they called Maeve. But soon after, Hannele eventually felt a longing for home; becoming a mother had allowed her to mature and prioritise the needs of her newborn baby. The child would need a stable, static upbringing - something which Vax was deeply uncomfortable with. But, for the sake of their daughter, the two agreed to be civil. Being force sensitive (like many with Miralukan heritage) it was agreed Maeve would be raised by her mother on Alpheridies, with Vax visiting as often as he could.
For the most part, it was a healthy and happy upbringing. Maeve, whilst physically blind, learned to ‘see’ in the ways of her people - Hannelle personally oversaw her tutelage, instilling in her daughter the value of education.
But as Maeve grew into adolescence, she became restless and unruly. She longed for something more than the tranquil academia of her mother’s world; she wanted to know the enthralling place of her forefathers, the partying of Zeltros. Hannelle was initially wary but as Maeve grew into her own, she became harder to manage. Vax assured her it was merely growing pains, not so dissimilar to something a Zeltron youth would feel; it could be settled channeled if handled correctly.
With that, the young hybrid moved to be with her father on Zeltros; though she can’t physically experience the colourful world around her, she was certainly willing to try and perceive it. Maeve has a loving relationship with her father, and whilst Vax spoils his daughter, he has made it clear to her that (much like himself) she must make her own fortunes in life and will not be automatically entitled to his moderate wealth.

▵Personality
More Zeltron in nature, Maeve is a lively and excitable child. She idolises and identifies greatly with her father’s people, enjoying everything Zeltron culture has to offer. Whilst unable to actually enjoy the selecting of her clothes, Maeve’s squad of stylists ensured she has a near-constant wardrobe of wildly colorful clothes; it was common to see the hybrid wearing shockingly bright and bizarre colour designs, featuring all sorts of patterns and symbols. Her most favourite accessory? Sunglasses and/or visors. Currently, the hybrid has an assorted collection and changes them constantly; she primarily likes wearing them because they conceal the telltale signs of her mixed ancestry. She does not want people thinking or assuming she is handicapped just because she is physically blinded. (Warning: if you pity her, you will get punched).
Whilst loving her mother dearly, Maeve is totally resistant to constrained living; amongst the Miralukan community, Maeve often felt isolated and singled out due to her mixed heritage. She shares her mother’s love of learning, but more when there are practical tasks to interact with.
The youngling does not respond well to any authoritative figures; like any youngster, she seeks nothing but thrills and adventure. If you hinder that, then prepare yourself for a megaton of attitude.

▵Skills and abilities
Being visually impaired, Maeve learned to use the Force in order to ‘see’ more of the world around her. Because of her mother’s scholarly profession, the hybrid has a rudimentary understanding of the Force and its applications. At the moment, however, she is not interested in exploring these possibilities.
Instead, Maeve loves dancing and music, finding any and every opportunity to enjoy it. Techno savvy, the girl enjoys tinkering with any of the latest gadgets her father can buy her. In order to try and curb her boundless energy, Maeve practices mild martial arts (discipline though is sometimes lacking). As she's still an adolescent, it's uncertain if the rebellious teen will inherit the Zeltron's natural use of pheromones - these usually manifest after late puberty.
