APPEARANCE:
Lyra has dark hair stretching as far as her lower chest, but she likes to keep it tied behind her back or wrapped in a neat bun on her head. Almond eyes, round cheeks and a naturally pale complexion caused by years of being stuck under city clouds or pressed into the pages of old books, she is nothing special. Not drop-dead gorgeous or an instant eyesore. Lyra is a perfect fit for Coruscant life: utterly forgettable.
ATTRIBUTES:
Lyra is incredibly smart, with a quick memory and clever resourcefulness. She is calm and collected, knowing what to do and how to do it, but she works poorly under pressure and stress can take a toll. Even as a Jedi, she tries to avoid trouble where it can be found, but when confronted outright or met with a problem she can't ignore, Lyra will do what it takes to make it through. She might not be strong or experienced but she has her own tricks up her sleeve. Her lola might say what she lacks in strength, she makes up for in wit and speed, but Lyra doesn't think she's very fast. It just comes naturally.
PERSONALITY:
Lyra likes to stay low-key, never sticking her head up in a crowd, but can be known to cause trouble. She may try to stay in line, but the rules tend to bend to her own will and desires. Especially to her dreams. At night, sprawled out on her bed and staring into the ceiling, she imagines stories and lives not her own. As a traveling archeologist on the run from the government or a Skywalker facing down the Sith. She wishes so hard to be more than a no-name archivist and Jedi Padawan that it physically hurts. She wants to be important, loved, or just seen. Then she wakes up with dry eyes and moves on.
BIOGRAPHY:
For as long as she can remember, Lyra was nobody. She can't remember her parents, her family or past. She can only remember her lola, Liu Zheng, taking care of her on her own. She taught Lyra how to read and write, and when she was old enough, showed her the library she worked in. Bookshelves reaching on forever, records that went as far as the days of the Old Republic. Lyra asked Liu Zheng many times about her parents, but she refused to tell her anything, claiming she knew little about them. Who they were and why they left her stays a mystery to Lyra, but she likes to imagine the wildest possibilities and reasons, even if the answer stands clear before her.
She was later rescued by former Jedi Master Oren Zapan, and recruited into the Jedi Order as a Padawan. Although successful in her trials and in receiving a lightsaber, she fell short on her path to knighthood. Always a bookworm and shut-in, she struggled to engage with other students or masters. The archives were her life, and each page of a manuscript a bed to sleep on. It was only following the fall and exile of Master Zapan that she snapped out of her daze and began to take the Jedi seriously. This was meant to be her life now. More importantly, this was meant to be her way to finding her parents, and her purpose in the vast galaxy.
SKILLS:
She has no marksman or swordsmanship skills, having never used a blaster. But thanks to her training under Master Zapan and others, she's a skilled swordsman, particularly with a lightsaber. And due to her upbringing as a part-time archivist and accountant, she has learned several other languages, like the Huttese and Droidspeak. She knows a thing or two about medicine and its applications, but never hands-on. Though her experience is limited, Lyra can slice into a computer database and pilot air-speeders.
Although trained in the Force, she has yet to tap into her full potential. Great power lurks just beneath the surface of her mind and spirit, but something is holding her back. Fear, impulse—desire.
GEAR:
Lyra has a light blue lightsaber and blaster, but her most dangerous weapon is perhaps her wit and sheer cunning.
ROLE-PLAYS:
Something Different (Complete): Lyra encounters an undercover Jedi.
The Force Finds a Way (Complete): Lyra meets Oren, who invites her to the Order.
The Gathering (Complete): Lyra undergoes her first trial and receives her lightsaber.

Her only relationship is to an old woman, Liu Zheng, who is all the family she has.
