Decades before, the planet of lotho minor was designated as a dumping ground for the wazta sector collectively. The planet was considered barren and had no history of colonization so it was only suiting.
One day however something peculiar happened, without any sort of record as to why, massive droids emerged consuming everything in great metal jaws spewing intense flames, consuming and incinerating the wastage. The mysterious appearance of these monsyerous machines was investigated for a brief time until it was discovered that they were hostile, attacking and destroying anyone in their sights. In retaliation the machines were destroyed and speculation began to circle around that they were smuggled to the. planet by rogue refining operations. As a precaution a shakeout was held to catch the culprits but nothing happened for many years to come, until the monstrous machines emerged again.
The machines were met with prejudice time and time again. But they would always return and in greater numbers until it was discovered that they had literally emerged from the underground. At that time dumping operations stopped. Curious individuals had attempted to contact the mysterious manufacturers but they were answered by foreign languages. A new civilization was discovered and though their words were not understood their tones were certainly not happy. Communications were soon severed and the aliens remained silent until one day a clear but cold voice spoke to the galaxy. "You have desecrated our world with your filth. Our fears have been realized. Leave us be." Those words were the only thing heard from them before they went silent again.
The silence stirred worry and confusion for the observing public. The deadly machines below prevented exploration without hostility, and noone wanted to further provoke these unknown lifeforms. That is until a few bounty hunters, hired by an impatient few looking for answers were sent to the planets surface to make contact. They had valiantly fought against the machines that tried to slaughter them along their path until they came to the point of emergence. And there they established contact, for a brief moment before they were met with violent creatures with a hateful resolve. Creatures stormed from the hole, clad in heavy armor and blue cloth, completely obstructing their faces, and were armed with flame spewing weapons. The monsters cried out in an unknown language with a fearsome tone, and without mercy, they burned the bounty hunters alive. The screaming bodies, writhing in pain were dragged into the ground still burning by these monsters until they could no longer be heard. Shocked and silent were the impatient individuals who had hired the bounty hunters. They were soon contacted again by the same voice from before. "Do not ever set foot on our soil again."
The wazta sector was in turmoil now over this outrageous aggression from the unknown people. They argued that justice should be inflicted upon these monsters. All curiosity was replaced with fear and anger and any regard held for them was abandoned. Dumping operations were resumed in a cruel act of dominance, and it seemed that the monsters of lotho minor would be buried unable to do anything about it.
Scorched, broken and afraid, one lone survivor from the band of bounty hunters was pitched onto the ground in darkness suddenly flames lit up their surroundings and they were fave to face with the people responsible for their misery. They chartered to each other in a new tone however, instead of growling and squawking they sounded worried, until one confident voice barked to them. They stood aside and let the owner of the voice through into the light. This one's face was not concealed and it approached cautiously. The bounty Hunter recoiled in fear of this person but he soon spoke. "The worst of your fears are already over. You shall be made anew. All we ask in return is your cooperation and you will live." The shooken Hunter was bewildered but soon passed out from their injuries. Their last sight was the motion of several hands reaching for them.
This is a little concept draft of ancient lotho minorian soldiers. They are known as the Dipyan, soldiers of the cult of Lord Seir. To the left are some weapons, one being a heavyweight flamethrower and the one below a gravity fed slugthrower. These are my first submissions and will await inspection and approval so nothing set in stone yet.
Lord Seir, leader of the lotho minorian cults and sith knight, seeks to expand from the boundaries of his doomed planet and lend an army to the sith cause. I will be writing up a full profile of him soon enough but I was just too impatient to hold this back.
Curious if its a wasteland/dumping ground and the droids are simply clearing/destroying waste why do the "observers" care? The droids are in a sense helping them take care of their junk/waste problem. Also when are these observers seeing the droids/battling them? Seems like wasted resources to have any inhabit a literal junk planet. Ord Mantell for instance has a scavenging outpost and makes money. Colonizing what you described seems unlikely and that would be the only reason to go to "war."
1. What kind of waste is being put on Lotho?
2. Was it colonized after the waste was put on by the depositing planets?
3. How do the underground beings know how to contact the offworld overseers/junkers.
I like the concept, sounds interesting but it being a barren/uncivilized world makes it hard to see them being tech savvy/higher knowledged. Also about supplying an army of ships theyd need some pretty impressive foundries/material to build them. Goodluck on write up! Has some potential.
