The cloaked Quarren had kept to himself for most of the trip, as most of the passengers on the elderly, drafty Heraklon-class transport did. The Lost Stars was travelling from the Tanaab system to the Hapes Consortium, near full capacity with a split of 200 passengers and several tons of building materials. As the ship came out of hyperspace, the Captain informed the passengers of their arrival. "This the Cap'n speakin'," he announced in broken basic. "Eve 'rrived to 'apes. 'Ol tigh."

The Quarren, quietly and calmly, sat up in the three-high bunk he had climbed into for the last few hours. The Quarren was, of course, none other than Sith Marauder Palist Takkur. Not a very well known Sith, the Quarren was an extremely methodical, careful, and relaxed member of the Sith Order. His desire to study the powers and application of the Dark Side of the Force came not from ambition or power, but a desire for revenge against the Jedi - who he believed to be the root of the destruction of his entire life.

Palist had received intelligence twice-confirmed by contacts that the Jedi had a particular interest in this ship. Whether it be passengers or supplies, the Quarren cared not. If it would cause an inconvenience or hurt the Jedi, it was a task for him. And so dressed simply and seeking passenger aboard the Lost Stars, he had carefully plotted out his attack on the ship. And now it was time for his plan to take action.

Moving carefully and quietly, Palist approached the guard who held the passengers confined to the large, cavernous quarters.

"I need to use the bathroom," he said, quietly. The human man clicked his tongue at the disguised-Sith, and turned to lead him away. The two rounded a few corners and, as the guard arrived to the bathroom and turned to nod the passenger in, the Quarren carefully stumbled into him. The two stumbled into the bathroom and Palist activated his lightsaber, stabbing into the man's heart and killing him before he was even aware. Deactivating the loud lightsaber quickly, he allowed the man to slump to the floor. Palist dragged him into the bathroom and into a stall, closing the door behind him.

Turning down the hall he walked quickly towards the front of the ship. As he rounded a corner, a guard posted at the door to the bridge suddenly looked alive, having previously been fiddling with his comlink. "Oi, who are you?" he questioned loudly, visibly concerned and gripping his blaster rifle. Palist said nothing, throwing his lightsaber at the man and activating just begun impact. Very much alive, this guard gurgled a bit as he felt to his knees and then to the floor. Palist flicked his wrist and the lightsaber deactivated before flying back to his hand. The Sith did not break stride as he continued down the hall. Stopping once he was to the door, he calmly clicked the panel, activating the door to the bridge.

Stepping in, about a dozen crew members turned to regard their visitor. Most of them seemed confused or irritated. A few noticed the lightsaber in his hand, while others caught sight of their now-dead companion right out the door, and their faces twisted into fear and disbelief. The lightsaber hissed to life as the door swished closed behind the Sith, the crew finally all realizing their cake-walk trip was anything but.

--

A few minutes later, the passengers of the ship would feel their transport dig hard to port. A buzz swept the now unmanned passengers' quarters as the viewport-less room offered no explanation for the sudden change in direction. On the bridge of the ship the Sith stood among the bodies of the twelve crew members, the distant sun centered in the viewport as Palist brought the ship to forward full.
