Summary
Lorena Delanova is a down on her luck private detective looking to claw her way out of the dumps. Again. Once a Padawan, once a businesswoman, and once someone who owned an actual house, life's been trying to do her in for a while. She's just lucky that way. No one would call her any sort of a people person, and she spends her days working for the Cartel and the nights with droids and booze.

Personality & Traits
Zeltrons are passionate, empathetic hedonists who love nothing more than getting caught up in the thrill of the moment. Lorena's none of these things, and pointing it out makes her a particular sort of pissy. Losing her connection to the world meant she had to find a new way to live in it, and she picked shrewd planning and cold logic. Lorena is sarcastically resigned to all the crap that's been thrown her way, and has a survivor's dark sense of humor. Doesn't really like dealing with other people, there's a reason she surrounds herself with droids. She can be blunt, stubborn, or ruthless, depending on the need, but always tries to weighs her options carefully. She keeps her past private, since the stigma of the word 'Jedi' is still common in her line of work. A bit of the Code lingers though, tempered by her flirtations with the Dark Side. She won't work assassinations, with the one exception being slavers. There's no guilt in gunning them down. Anything else is on the table, provided the client has the credits.

She also might, potentially, depending on your point of view, have a wee bit of a drinking problem.

Alignment

Chaotic Good or thereabouts, but she likes to pretend she's neutral.

Physical Characteristics
Lorena has light purple skin, red hair, and a love of coats that go swoosh. Her eyes are either red or purple, depending on the light and where she's starin.' As far as her species goes, she looks fairly Zeltron-ey.

Distinguishing Features -

There's a faint scar over her right eye. She got drunk and fell on a bottle.

Biography
994 ABY – Born on Zeltros to average, upper middle class parents.
1002 – Discovered to be Force Sensitive, and left her home to begin Padawan training. What with the Big Bag Sith popping up, her parents were told that new Jedi were needed more than ever.
1006 – Apprenticed to an Aqualish Master, a surly woman who specialized in Lightsaber Dueling. ‘"Control the Force within you and you control the outcome,’" that was her motto and Lorena took it to heart.
1012 – As tensions escalated, her Master ramped up the intensity of her lessons, and began to train Lorena in the basics of the more violent Juyo form.
1013 – Lorena is deployed on a relief mission to the Outer Rim when Coruscant falls. Her Master remained behind at the temple, and Lorena feels her life get snuffed out through the Force when the bombardment begins. Alone and penniless, she is left stranded on the other end of the galaxy.
1014 – For several months she drifts from planet to planet before finding her way to a dive bar in the middle of nowhere. She meets a group of former Padawans, all of whom lost their Masters in the Fall. Vengeance and adolescence collide, and when one of them mentions a legendary weapon of arcane Sith Magicks capable of annihilating entire Systems Lorena throws in her lot. Finding it would be a chance to even the score, to pay back the Sith for the loss of her Master. Lorena's conscience whispers about Dark Side temptations, but being a twenty year old Zeltron she just goes ahead and ignores that.
1015 – Legends lie. What a shock. Lorena can't remember the details, but she knows the superweapon was never even real to begin with. What was real was the the twisted, bitter holocron of a long-dead Sith and her death trap of a tomb. Lorena's new friends were cut down in front of her eyes by the crypts’s Dark Side guardians while she was tossed aside and pinned underneath a coffin. The guardians didn't bother checking if she was still alive, and Lorena was forced to to endure the empathetic weight of their deaths magnified by the Force. It didn't end well. The native telepathy of all Zeltronians was the first to go, but by the time Lorena stumbled out of the tomb her connection to the Force had gone silent. Coping mechanism or Dark Side virus from the tomb, either way it had been a pretty crappy day.
1015-1016 – With nowhere left to go Lorena heads back to Zeltros. For a while, she tries to party the pain away, but without the empathy non-stop shindigging get kind of old. Feeling like an outsider, she takes up a fun new hobby - drinking.
1017 – Lorena makes a fateful discovery during a bar brawl. When a bottle whips its way towards her face, she pulls off a Jedi-style disarm with a nearby pool cue before taking down three fully armed Trandoshan. Drunk Trandoshan, but still. Accomplishment. When she gets home that night, Lorena takes out her lightsaber for the first time in almost two years and makes a startling discovery - in the Rock-Paper-Scissors of psychological damage, muscle memory trumps mental block. Her lightsaber feels just the same in hr hands as it did all those years ago, and Lorena can hear a faint echo of the force while practicing her forms. Taking the revelation as a sign to leave Zeltros, Lorena asks for one last loan from her parents. She buys two droids, a ship, and some guns from the dump before heading off to Nar Shaddaa to make her living as a soldier for hire. As it turned out, her timing was spot on. Zeltros lay smack dab in between the stuffy Consortium and those fish people with all the kolto. Destroyers galore were headed towards Manaan on her way out.
1019 - Merc turns to thief pretty easily and Lorena doesn't seem to mind. A big score nets her enough credits to rent out a storefront in the somewhat-less-than-shady part of Nar Shaddaa, and she open her own private detective agency, Delanova Investigations. Too cheap to hire actual help, she puts the droids to work.
1022 - Surprisingly enough, Nar Shaddaa real estate isn't exactly "stable." A turf war between rival gangs sets fire to her shop, and Lorena is forced to move both her home and business to the cargo hold of her ship, the Serenity Now. She's not exactly thrilled with the new arrangements, and is looking to eke her way out from the bottom once more.

Skills & Abilities
Lorena can speak Basic, Aqualish, and half her astromechs angry warbles. She's a skilled detective, merc, and tracker, and is surprisingly meticulous in her research. Lorena is particularly skilled at virtual tracking (Holo-Net footprint, digital files, etc) and, on a completely unrelated note, is a pretty decent slicer. This skill, however, doesn't translate into any of the non-computer aspects of engineering or repair. She usually ends up getting mad and smashing at the pieces. She has some skill with disguises, especially service industry sorts and overlooked professions that get you inside a building. You don't need charisma to be an IT girl, you just need to look like you know what you're doing. Quick on the draw but not the best at aiming, Lorena tries to get off the first shot in each encounter. Aims for the knees, of course, but the average aim comes into play here . . .


Racial Skills -

Zeltrons possess several innate, nifty, and downright useful natural advantages. Lorena can't really use any of them. Her telepathy, alongside the Force, is severed and unusable. Without telepathy to measure and judge the effects of her pheromones on others, any attempts at using them is wild and uncontrollable. Still usable, but trying to sweet talk a guard is just as likely to throw the entire room into an uncontrollable adrenal-frenzy.

Thankfully enough, her second liver keeps on workin.'

Force -

Access to the majority of her Force capabilities have been severed, although she can still wield a lightsaber. All her remaining skills are tied into muscle memory, and are far below the level of a knight or even an advanced Padawan.
She has zero access to any of the mental Force abilities (Sense, Trick, psychometry, telepathy, etc). Mild and provisional danger sense, but only while actively wielding her lightsaber in combat. Any attempts at projecting the Force outside her body (such as TK) either fail or backfire. Coupled with almost a decade of atrophy, moving a pen several inches would be a Herculean effort and require at least a day's rest afterwards. .
If she focuses, she can mildly bolster her physical capabilities for a short period of time, but she is left severely drained afterwards.


Lightsaber Forms -

Although at one point somewhat experienced in dueling, her skills drop more and more each day.
- Makashi – Basic. Her Master paid specific attention to the dueling arts after War broke out, drilling her for hours and hours each day.
- Knows the basic theories behind Juyo and Soresu. Can't actually use either, but she might be able to recognize a move or two here and there.


Gear and Goods
- A detective’s prerequisite brown leather duster. Flask included. Usually full.
- (2x) Model 6 "Quick 6" blasters. Chosen for their particularly effective Stun setting, a plus in her line of work. The Holonet gave it five out of five jiggling Nautolan head-tresses.
- (1x) lightsaber, blue blade. For the most part, kept hidden inside a secret compartment in her boot. Can be ejected by tapping a prearranged pattern with her heel.
- (1x) Model Q4 hold out blaster pistol, hidden in her other boot. Always forgets where she put the cable to charge the dumb thing.
- Synthrope (10M), comm, and other Belt related paraphernalia. Like pouches.
- Wrist computer/Datapad. Modified for slicing, but also has a couple games. Uses it to procrastinate, sometimes.
- Two whole changes of clothes. The rest burned up in the fire.
- A steadily growing assortment of rudimentary disguises, mainly centered around various service industry professions. Because really, who double checks Lisa the Package Delivery Girl?


Ship -

The Serenity Now - A beaten down YT – 1930 class light freighter. Lorena's not too good at keeping it in good shape, and lets the droids figure out most of the repairs. It goes from from A to B, and that’s good enough for now. Well. It could, anyways. The Serenity Now currently serves as Lorena's home and place of business, and she's getting sick of living so close to the droids.
No shoes allowed inside.

Droids -

- Miss Daisy, an old R9 series astromech that serves as Lorena's personal chauffeur and rolling bartender. For tax purposes, the PI license is in her name. Has a tendency to squirrel away information that might or might not be useful until explicitly asked.
- Mr. Peppy – LOM series protocol droid, assists with customers and shopkeeping. A blaster bolt to the head before Lorena bought him makes Mr. Peppy surly, mutter-prone and subject to the odd outburst or two.


Pets -

- Gerry the neutered Gizka. Never allowed near another one of his kind. Ever.

This looks like an excellent start. Good backstory with incorporation of historical events, not bad with her personality. She sounds unique with the whole severed personality thing. I like her. Someone else may have an issue with something I missed (it's late and I'm sleepy) but this is pretty good for a first! Keep it up, can't wait to see what you do with her!

Thanks! I'll try and take her out for a spin this weekend, had to do the whole OCD wiki-forum walk to get my bearrings beforehand.
