Loose Ends

This is the OOC for "Loose Ends," a bounty hunting thread. It is OPEN and I invite anybody of a sporting nature to join the thread. It is shady and dark and ABSOLUTELY RIFE with potential for awesomeness, so I encourage anyone who wishes to join it to do so.

Brother this is an awesome RP, I've read the opening post and it was sooo good, creepy good! The music added much to it, and I will follow this for sure!

Sadly I won't be joining as I'm already in quite a few threads and can't really take on more atm. But just wanted to let you know that I loved the read, and who knows maybe sometime we'll get to RP!

Right, well I think we have our list of players. Here it is:

Prose A - Hunted, playing as "Prose A"
Allu'rah Danan - Protector, playing as "Akira"
Lark - Hunter, playing as "Jack Atlas"
Captain Flynn - Hunter, playing as "Madd Dogg"
Earlich Mar - Controller, playing as "Jack Rackham"

Essentially, that adds up to 2v2 for the purposes of fight calculation. That seems somewhat reasonable to me, though I'd entertain possibly including one other protector provided they could explain how they got involved. So unless anyone has any objections, I shall be closing the IC thread to people who are not on the list above. I'll give it a day or so before I do this to give you guys a chance to voice your opinions. Thanks.

I was wondering, if I happen to meet and befriend a Jedi character on my travels, might this person be added to the list of "protectors"? Perhaps a Padawan or something like that?

Oh, also, Allu'rah's character is Akira.

Hi all, Madd Dogg here. The way I see things progressing, "Loose Ends" has been kind of like a prequel to the actual hunt. The other defenders have started other threads explaining where they are. I think for all intensive purposes "Loose Ends" should be a thread where the bounty hunters acquire their commlinks and head off to wherever the hunt takes them. I only suggest this for the sake of convenience, as the other threads won't take the defenders anywhere near this warehouse, and it saves us the awkward transition from one very distinct location to another one that is quite a considerable distance away.

I also feel that this would be a very good opportunity to acquire a lead on the ever elusive "Collector". Having a strong psychological-thriller aspect to this thread, I feel that more inquisitive and curious characters could make it into a great mystery thread. If guys have any opinions on these suggestion, feel free to share them.

I agree entirely. If you wish to join the actual hunt, go to Prose A's open thread, Silver Pastures: Divagation, to continue the bounty.

I find myself wanting to make an appropriate character for threads such as these.

If that urge were to overwhelm me, would there still be room for one more in these threads? I gather I've already missed the prelude.

Sorry Prose, I didn't see your post for some reason. In theory, you could have a jedi protector, but I'd have to have a good reason as to why he'd take a major interest in protecting you of all people. Jedi don't typically roam around the galaxy and when they do, they tend to be on missions with higher priorities than individual civilians.

Also, out of curiosity, is Akira still with you?

Mar's use of background music in this thread has been very inspirational. I think it truly enhanced the read and gave it that very creepy feel that sends chills up and down the spine. I think it would really improve the reading experience to continue doing this throughout the "Loose Ends" thread, or any of the "Jack Rackham" stories. Even just placing them in threads where something pivotal to the story has been discovered would be nice. I was just wowed by the effect it had. Great stuff!

Okay. I was just wondering, if the situation should arise. We are on Coruscant, and Akira mentioned the Jedi and the Temple there.

I'm not sure about Akira. I started the thread just after I found out she was going to be gone for the weekend, so I left it open for her interpretation. She mentioned that we would seperate at some point, so I just figure I'm taking the innitiative there.

Okay, thanks for sorting that out. Regardless, you seem to have picked up a potential Jedi friend in the form of Gaja, so you shouldn't be without protection for too long.

One thing I should mention to ye' is that Earlich Mar is not actually involved in the thread at all, so you are not receiving the mission from him and do not need to worry about finding him in the thread.

The guy you are working for is Jack Rackham (who is only known to the hunters as "The Collector").
