Looking for someone to ride shotgun

So! I just got a mission "Escaped Lovers" from Borgeye the Hutt, and I need another companion, and an NPCer (not sure how NPCing works around here).

My character has a ship, but he's a pretty lousy shot. He's great at melee though.

We're going to Cloud City on Bespin to hunt down 2 fugitives: a gladiator and his lover who's a slave, and bring them back to the client. We will not be kind. It's either we bring them back or we bring back their bodies. Unless of course you have no problem being punished by a hutt, then I'm cool with letting them go.

Okay, now all we need to do is find someone to NPC (still have no idea what that means) the fugitive and/or his slave girlfriend so we can get cookin' and get paid.

Any thoughts where you want to start the RP? In my dude's ship on the way to Cloud City or just after we land that ugly bucket of bolts?

I'm tickled by the odd idea that Dargus is having trouble finding a partner for this mission ICly, that for some reason this mission is a touchy subject and no one knows why; that the rumors of how touchy this mission is supersedes the fact that no one actually knows why it is so touchy and if it even really is as touchy as the rumors suggest. So, if you like the idea, we could start in a pub where Dargus can't seem to reasonably convince anyone to join him and Lev swoops in with an eye for opportunity. Either that or Dargus could just find Lev passed out on the floor and we start when Lev wakes up on your ship lol.

As for NPCing, it might help to post a request in the general OOC boards asking somebody to do it for us. Either there or in the Help section. Whichever suites ya. It might sweeten the deal if you suggest that someone's PC can have helped the NPCs or have otherwise been involved with the NPCs so that the writer would have more invested with the NPCs to also enjoy the experience. Or you could always offer to scratch their back if they scratch yours and promise to NPC for them sometime in return for the favor?

Okay, sold. The people might also just be apprehensive for being asked by a Barabel. Dargus is one ugly sumbitch after all. I'll find us some gullible test subjects to NPC for us and I'll start the thread (unless you wanna open it, if you have other plans). I think Nar Shadaa would be a great place to start. Big city, lots of cantinas. Is this okay with you?

Holy crap, sold! I was worried nobody would be interested when I posted on the general OOC.

I'll work on the thread as soon as I can and post the link here.

If you wanna make it more interesting, maybe you could have one of your characters protect the fugitives? We can then have a showdown in Cloud City or something. That's up to you though.

Anyway, gimme the link on the thread you need an NPC for and I'll see to it that it's NPCed good. Imma NPC the hell outta that thread, mmm...
