Ajan Kloss shivered; thick trees of viridian hue shifted in protest to a stray cool breeze. On the mountainside, Dace peered forward and beheld the vast stretch of jungle as if he were its vanguard. "It's not like Florrum." His voice strained with the thick moisture of the atmosphere, stolen away by another gust of intruding wind. He'd been traveling now for some time. Sitting, he would finally rest, letting himself dissolve into the cliff-side, feeling the jungle, like an intricate tapestry, dwarf him and make him feel insignificant. It was a nice feeling.

"Years of traveling to end up alone. Was this what old Vahl wanted?" His eyes were tired, bagged and casting a suspicious glare towards the trees. "To die here? Is that what you wish? Wasted talent?"

Reaching down, he'd sprawl his fingers into an open palm and in an instant, a lightsaber hilt would rush forward into his grasp. He felt the cool metal grace his skin like iced electricity and flipping the switch, he was greeted with the low hum of a scintillating crimson pulse. It cast over his visage, blanketing him in pale red light, distorting his features and pushing out against the darkness. Often, when he was alone, he would hold his lightsaber and try to feel the Jedi it had belonged to; did he still exist? What crimes did he commit for such a fate, and his teacher, Master Jask, why was he allowed to be the judge?

When thinking of the Jedi way, the way of light, Dace held a muted respect for the organization. As disorganized as they were, there was something admirable about holding ones own ideals, even in the face of certain ignorance. However, he didn't know of such things, not enough to cast judgement. What he did know though, was that the Jedi order was disorganized, clumsy and lacked focus.

One more he peered out into the depths of Ajan Kloss, outstretching his hand, he felt like he could almost hold the jungle in his palm. There was alot of life out there, waiting to be discovered.

"I can protect you." He muttered to himself with a stray breath, enveloped in the hum of his saber and cradled by its light.
