Zabić heard of the presence of a Force Sensitive Wookiee brought to Korriban. What is was unique about this creature called Roar, or who simply goes by the sound effect of Rawr, is that he is said to have not developed any Core Force abilities. This state of being is quite a dangerous a one in which to exist, within Sith space.

It didn't take long for Zabić to spot the Wookiee in the courtyard just outside of the Temple at Dreshdae. He seemed quite the anomaly, white as snow and standing a good two heads or more higher than her own stature. She watched as some Acolytes seemed to fear him and stand at a distance, while others challenged him to take part in their games. Her natural disposition to lean toward apathy, to allow the lesser capable to pass away from existence won over, and therefore Zabić merely stood and watched from afar. The fight she had witnessed was entertaining to say the least. It was over before it started really. She enjoyed the entertainment. The snowy creature had won hands down. 'How amusing,' she thought, 'he looks so cuddly.' Not really, but enough for a Sith perhaps!

Zabić approached and the crowd dissipated, for her reputation for the company she keeps precedes her. Some time ago it was that Warmaster Darth Vyrassu had taken an interest in her learning. She reflected upon that day as she approached the Wookiee, that time in her life when she believed she was at her lowest, and he was was the reason it was also known to her as the time of her good fortune. For a Sith to take on an Apprentice, was the beginning of a very unique relationship.

Zabić brought herself to stop before him, then walked around him slowly, eying him over while invading his mind to feel out his mental and emotional state. Then the Crusader halted and stood before him. A devilish grin crept over her face. Zabić merely cocked a brow and waited for his reaction.

She tested him. How he received her, would determine how she would react to him next. There is only one thing he can do which would prove in his favor to win her over. Zabić is an honorable woman, and she is very old school. Time and time again, this omission of one simple gesture of respect has caused her to initiate a great many ass kickings.

The other acolyte sat there, defeated, and somewhat confused. The small Twi'lek really hadn't been hard to overpower. Despite the fact that Rorryyhn felt he was getting a handle on his training saber, it was obvious the only reason he'd beaten the smaller student was through his pure, raw, natural strength. Really, they were probably on the same scale when it came to skill with a blade. The truth was, this style, Juyo or whatever it was called, wasn't easy. In fact, it was the hardest thing Rorryyhn had ever done. He was a little thick, even for a Wookie, he'd never been good at learning in the first place, but he tried to put it aside, since he'd seen before the damage one could cause with one of these swords.

But really, was it necessary? Rorryyhn was a Madclaw, he could cause enough damage and destruction with blades literally at his fingertips, why bother with this whole Juyo thing? Who needed it?

As the Acolyte was helped up and herded away, Roryyhn sheathed his saber and turned, looking at the blazing Korriban sun. It hurt his eyes, despite it's beauty. All Wookies had an appreciation for nature, even those like Roryyhn. It wasn't easy for him to get used to the heat, or how the sand got into everything, but still, it was beautiful in a rough sort of way.

Rorryyhn's admiration was halted, as he sensed another presence in the room. A human female. Rorryyhn had only met a few of these creatures, and had begun to find them increasingly annoying. He almost opened his mouth to tell her off, until her rank became apparent to him. He'd only seen a few other Sith like her, and was barely aware of the proper etiquette when dealing with one, so he bowed, just instinctively. He was very hardheaded, but not stupid enough to disrespect someone who could remove his arms faster than he could unsheathe his claws.

Zabić nodded bluntly in turn, at the show of respect. She wouldn't waste time to train a pompous initiate. And there were far too many of those. She had been notified about this prospect and instructed to see into his actual capabilities. Darth Vyrassu is a man whose station has practically removed him from the life of teaching. Zabić agreed she would evaluate and develop the natural talent of this one for potential enlistment into the Warrior Class Sith. So far, he seems to possess the potential. The Warrior life isn't for everyone.

She pursed her lips in contemplation of where to begin. Zabić wondered what exactly it might be that this giant being would actually fear. Something had to become his drive. She could see him physically disrupting the Force which directly surrounds him, but he hadn't utilized it at all while he fought. "Leave us," she demanded of the remaining spectators who quickly complied.

She realized that he was quite successful this far on his own. "Surely you want to learn more. The Imperium desires your service. I am Zabić, Warrior Crusader. You will begin your instruction under my tutelage." At some point, she would take him to meet Darth Vyrassu. But he has a lot of techniques to Master before Zabić would dare deem him worthy to interrupt the schedule of her Lord.

Rorryyhn had only the most rudimentary grasp of Basic, but he got the gist of what she said. Rorryyhn was not used to being wanted, so he was unsure of how to respond respectfully. <I am honored.> He said modestly, one of the few times he ever said anything modestly.

Crusader, he liked the sound of that. If it meant tearing a bloody path through his enemies, then he was up for it. Maybe someone like her could explain this whole Juyo thing better than the other aging instructors. Rorryyhn bowed his white head once more. <I accept, Master Zabić> He uttered her name as best he could in Shyriiwook.

Finally, he was going to get something done around here.

Along the lines of her Telepathic abilities, Zabić would no doubt benefit from trusting in her instincts in order to assure clear comprehension of his speech. It is a Force Power she can develop while working with him. Up until this point in time, she has only had a sporadic requirement of it. And as for the Warrior Sith, delegation usually doesn't take place with much conversation, but rather it does with the Lightsaber. "It's Roar, yes? Your name?" she asked, prepared to listen intently to his reply.

In her youth Zabić detested literary research. She didn't have much time for it as she paid her own way to live outside of the Academy. She could only guess that the Wookiee is unversed in the History of the Force mostly due to unavailability of texts to his race, if not for lack of works of adequate comprehension. The language barrier is sure to be something which shall stump him from time to time. He would benefit most from practical application, for the time being.

The best place to begin had to be to see how much about the Force the Wookiee could identify and utilize. It has always been beneficial between Master and student that they develop a Telepathic connection over time. The most advanced Master has even been noted for controlling or assisting his student during battle. All he needed was to be within planetary distance to achieve this accomplishment! It is a most beneficial place to start. Communication above all else stood as a barrier between them. And it will be the first thing she desires to conquer.

Zabić tapped into the Wookiee on a Telepathic level. She sent out her words along with their felt thought. She spoke slowly, "You hear me. I want you to focus only on one thought. Think to tell me anything you like. See your declaration form in the Force, as if you are generating your intention directly into the air, then concentrate to push it directly to me. Connect to my mind." Zabić stood, awaiting anything he might send her way.

<Rorryyhn. It means Hidden Danger.> The Wookie explained to her. His mother had given him that name in hopes that one day other Wookies would recognize him as something to be feared, and not just hated. Hopefully she would be right.

Rorryyhn watched the human, his new master. He never thought some furless creature would ever be able to order him around, he never thought anyone would ever tell him what to do. Things changed. Many things would soon change in his life.

At first, Rorryyhn was startled to hear her voice in his head, not recognizing it as a power of the force. The voice didn't act like it did when he would hear it normally. It echoed loudly, hurting his head at first, but settling smoothly in his mind eventually. He stared at her, astounded that one could achieve this. He knew that this 'Force' or whatever it was, was capable of powerful things. He'd seen other acolytes moving things without touching them, and shooting lightning from their fingers, but he never thought they could do something like this. Rorryyhn heeded her instructions, and attempted to follow them. It came out eventually, after much effort. A broken thought, chittery, but understandable. "I hate this planet..." He thought to her.

Having no idea how he spelt his name, Zabić went with what she heard. 'Roaring, with a silent "G." Interesting meaning,' she thought withholding this thought from him.

Zabić laughed dryly. If anything Korriban could be cooler. Perhaps it is beneficial that the Wookiee's fur is Albino, as it could aid to reflects some portion of the direct sun. But in time, he could learn to regulate the heat through the Force. As for Zabić, over the years she's grown accustomed to it. Fighting the planet's harshness does nobody any good.

"Alright Hidden Danger I'm going to develop you into an efficient killing machine," declared the Crusader, whose own name defined is to kill. "But first, Core Techniques. Every time you speak to me, I want you to also communicate with me Telepathically as well. That was a good first accomplishment of the technique. You got the feel for it. It'll be hard to forget it from this moment on."

Rorryyhn proved his ability to manipulate the Force. She knew that the other Core Techniques would be easy to grasp. "I'm going to bet, you probably already perform some of the Core Force techniques on a daily basis. Maybe they are so common to you, that you don't realize you're doing it."

Zabić opened her hand and so easily called a rock to her grasp. "Are you good at catching things; if so, how do you know you haven't been calling the object to meet your hand all along? Do you sometimes feel lucky; how do you know you are not merely utilizing intuition? You just might need to realize when and how you are manipulating the Force. Some of the Core Techniques are abilities which naturally develop in small Force Sensitive children."

Zabić looked at the tall being who stood before her. "To Pull, sense the distance between you and the rock. Feel it and the Force around it. Bring it into your grasp by sensing that distance out, reeling it in through the Force between you and it." Zabić held out her hand with the rock to him. And she withdrew her palm, suspending the rock in the air unsupported.

Rorryyhn looked down at his hands, or almost paws more like. Big, white, fluffy hands, hiding deadly black claws. He had never been good at handling small, complicated things. How could he use something he couldn't see? Well, regardless, he'd better try. The wookie sighed, and took a step back. Rorryyhn stared at the rock for a moment, trying to clear his mind, something he had never been good at. The white beast held out his large hands, and focused. He concentrated on the length between him and the object.

Rorryyhn reached out his hand, about a foot or so away from her and the rock. He tried to pull it away with his mind, but at first had failed. It wouldn't come to him, no matter how hard he tried. Rorryyhn sat there for a good few moments, failing to pull it towards him. A couple of times he felt like he had a grip, even made it wiggle a little, but overall, nothing. Eventually this angered Rorryyhn, it frustrated the Wookie, and it became evident in his face rather quickly. His eyes squinted, his teeth gritted, and he looked like he wanted to destroy the rock rather than manipulate it's position.

His eyes flared, his teeth bared, and out of his control, his claws had unsheathed themselves, and before he knew it, the rock flew quickly into his fuzzy palm, scraping against his claws momentarily. Rorryyhn stared down at the rock, confounded, anger ebbing away. How did he do that?

Zabić waited, and she waited calmly. She was curious to discover what would be realized as his drive. She watched him through Force Sight. The instant she felt him surpass frustration to growing terribly angry, enough that he successfully accomplished the task, an amused grin broke across her face as she glanced up at him. "That's good. Remember that while you are learning. Your ability to channel your emotions as fuel for the Force is critical to your success. However you need to get a grip on yourself, and learn to fuel the Force at will. Allowing your emotions to grow out of control is proven to ruin your sense of judgement, lead to critical mistakes on the battlefield.."

There was always some pretty extreme weaponry found in the training rooms. Zabić mused over the display. "Force Pull can be studied hand in hand with Push. You can raise something from across the room, pull it towards you, push it past you and hurl it away from you. In time you learn to master both of those Powers at once, and you have Force Grip, Crush and the spectacular and well admired skill of Force Choke."

Zabić eyes him curiously. "Do you meditate? Ah! Of what concern is that now? You will meditate from now on! It will teach you to learn to master your emotions and focus in your training."

The Wookie's anger ebbed away as his claws returned to their sheaths, loosening his grip on the stone. Perhaps there was something to this whole Force thing after all, moving things without touching them? Choking people across the room? How easy it would be to instill fear in enemies once one possessed these powers. It was official, Rorryyhn was interested.

The beast bowed his thanks to his new master, looking up at her once more. "Thank you Master Zabic." He thought to her, using that ability she'd taught him mere moments ago. The idea of meditation was foreign to him. He remembered some of the old Shaman's would do a thing where they just sat for hours and chanted. They seemed calm, and at peace. Originally the concept had seemed silly to Rorryyhn, but based on what she was telling him, then perhaps he should start rethinking some of his ideas. "Yes master, but what of this? This still manages to evade me." He questioned her, holding up a training saber.

Zabić respectfully nodded again as he had bowed once more. She could feel his ability to achieve the task with intention, gave cause to him making a deeper commitment to himself just now. She raised a brow lightly in amusement at his discovery. His eagerness shown through, and his openness about his desire, she found to be refreshing and nothing less than a charm. Many Acolytes think their britches are far too much bigger than they actually are. And here is a creature standing before her whose species alone should be enough cause for many people to fear him, and he is a respectful individual, worthy of her time and commitment.

Zabić chucked at his presentation of his training saber. "You, my Apprentice will become so amazing that when the enemy of the Imperium hears the sound of your name, they shall fear your actual Roar to be resounding within their ear," she stated, pun intended, of course. "With the knowledge you take away with you today...I want you to feel how much you loath this planet, then I want you to go off of that feeling and draw things to your grasp." She glanced around the room and sneered a tad. "Nothing sharp," she added with a smirk.

"As for this," Zabić glanced at the training saber, "it's a little short for you. But the lightsaber takes years to master. A Sith lets the Force, fueled with their determination and emotion, lead their motion in battle."

Instead of duel him, Zabić wanted to watch him in motion. She called a training sphere into her grasp and set the device to emit a medium intensity, but short burst of sporadic laser fire. She had to set it so, that he would notice it under his thick fur. It would float in the air and circle around him assaulting him with blasts from many angles. She can watch his fluency, if he has any at all yet. "This is your new droid. Let's see where you are, to start."

OOC:

It's convenient because Rorryyhn doesn't actually wear any pants.

Rorryyhn wrapped his large paws around the small lightsaber, attempting to wield it properly. As the sphere fired a bolt, he reacted just fast enough to stop it. It fired another, and he cut it off even closer. It continued to fire, and the Wookie kept clumsily blocking the bolts, a few here and there striking his fur. He became a little frustrated when the bolts hit him, but he managed to keep himself alive, blocking bolt after simple bolt, getting his white fur covered in little bits of soot and scorch from the blaster sphere.

Zabić pursed her lips. He hadn't channeled his anger well enough, which is to be expected for the first day. "I suppose we will need to advance you in this skill, before you are rendered bald. Little good it will do you to practice this way, until we get you a proper Lightsaber. But it will help you now with your dexterity and reflexes." She would do her best to locate a Lightsaber for him. Surely there was a gargantuan who had lost his head in battle and left behind his prized possession to be pilfered. "Perhaps a nice dragon tooth." They are thick at the base, and thin on the tip. He could choose his preference for the thickness and fashion it into his hilt. "Unless you have a different preference?"

Time for a little philosophy. "Your Lightsaber, is it your tool or your weapon?"

<Weapon.> He replied quickly, putting down the short lightsaber. <It is a utility to help focus our wrath on our enemies, Master.> Rorryyhn got a sort of glint in his eyes when he mentioned this, the way a Hutt's eyes glow when they see money.

The beast was thinking so far ahead, imagining himself on the battlefield, cutting down his enemies, the....Well, whoever it was the Sith fought...Who did they fight? Rebels, he knew that much, but didn't they have a much more dangerous enemy?

Zabić was about to reveal the most important encouragement she had ever been told by Darth Vyrassu. "No Roarin'. Your Lightsaber is not your weapon. It is you who are a weapon of the Force, and your Lightsaber is the tool that serves you in your quest."

Zabić noticed some acolytes walking past the doorway and pausing before moving along. "I take it that you get a lot of challenges due to your size and species. I won't let you leave here before you have a solid grasp on the basics. You are afterall, now my representative, and us both of my Master, who is the Sith Warmaster."

Zabić changed her mind about finding him a Lightsaber. It would mean much more if he learned to construct it himself. "When we leave here today, we shall take a trip to the Black Market, in search of the components required for the construction of your Lightsaber." She knew of people who would help hone in on the exact specifications he requires for his size.

A sense of familiarity washed over her. She remembered standing in his position, when her Master first took her on. She knew Rorryyhn would be successful in his quest for power.

"Now use Force Pull when in a fight. Pull at your opponent's feet to flip him onto his backside, or his shoulders trip him up to land face forward. Try it on me now." She would let him, if he succeeded; however if he does not try hard enough, she will take him and show him how it's done.

Rorryyhn didn't really understand that philosophy, but he would go along. It was sure to make sense one day. The Wookie was eager to master the lightsaber, so he became even more excited when she mentioned being able to make his own. He feared she would not let him if he failed to use the force properly this time. He recalled how he did it earlier, he became angry when he tried at first, and it worked then. How did he make himself angry? He took a few steps away from her, and extended his large paw, unsheathing his claws, just to see if it might help. He went to thoughts and memories that angered him. He remembered when he was very little, and the other Wookies sneered at his white fur; he felt a hold on her. He thought of those Imperial Guards who policed his village and captured him often; he felt a surge of power. He remembered the Sith, the one who had come to Kashyyyk, and murdered his mother; He began to pull. Finally, the memory of maiming the young acolyte in cold blood, the way he cowered and shouted for help from his master once he lost his weapons, how his fear interrupted his concentration. Rorryyhn balled his fist and pulled towards him.

Through Force Sight, Zabić continued to view his process to manipulate the Force. She saw the energy gather around him and become drawn into him. She felt the anger well up inside of him, and watched him channel and unleash it through the Force creating a successful Telekinetic connection to herself.

Zabić chose to be gripped in the Force and pulled forward by him. She suspected that seeing the results of his actions would further prove to him the power of the Force. When he pulled her off of her equilibrium, she sent out a Force Push and kept her body from touching the ground to hover above it, until she finally brought herself back into a standing position through the power of the Force.

She could have done anything she chose to him, and made him feel the power. But she felt that he needed the encouragement. It wasn't natural for such a one who has the capability to manipulate the Force, not have Mastered these Core Powers by his age. He needed to be brought out of his shell. It was apparent that choosing to fight him to anger him to obtain these results, hadn't worked up until this moment in his life. But she would certainly hope to see this fact change from this moment forth! In other words, Zabić planned on teaching him some skills today, and afterwards seeing him put them into action.

"Excellent utilization. You successfully touched upon the Force around you and generated a fine result. How did that feel?" She waited for him to describe it, curious to how he would answer, emotionally, or physically, maybe both. "Now Force Push is just a reversal of what you experienced just a moment ago. Draw in the Force. Focus on an item within the room, thrust it away." Zabić was curious to see if he is capable of focussing on one weapon laid upon a table with numerous items, or if any number of the things would be moved by him. Also, can he manage to lodge it into the wall?
