The Lightsaber Forge of Dxun is a lightsaber forge created at the end of the last war and hidden away in great secrecy.

History

The forge was created at the end of the war between the newly formed Sith and the Jedi many millennia ago, by a group of Jedi before they disappeared into civilian lives. Led by one Lucian Volante, they gathered a stockpile of materials required to build lightsabers and brought them to a hidden cave on the Demon Moon, Dxun.

At the end of it's construction, Lucian Volante left his lightsaber upon the forge and sealed the cave, swearing off the life of a Jedi while the others went about their fates and destinies.

Description

The cave itself is formed from thick granite, making it very hard for all but the most focused scans to pick it up. This, accompanied by the massive amount of life on Dxun making Force tracking hard, means that the first defence of the forge is that it is all but impossible to find unless you are already looking for it.

Hidden in deep jungle, the cave entrance is in such a place that it is all but impossible to land a spacecraft close by - those wishing to approach the forge must approach through the predator-infested jungle of Dxun.

The entrance to the cave itself is protected by another of Dxun's creatures - the humble orbalisk, insect like creatures with exoskeletons immune to lightsaber attacks and resistant to blaster bolts. These creatures consume the Dark Side of the Force and are attracted to Dark Side users. If they are able to touch the Dark Side user, they will paralyse them with poison and drain them of the Force until death.

They do not react to the Light Side of the Force at all and are docile towards non-force users.

Finally, the forge's 'door' is, in fact, a large slab of solid granite, too thick to be blasted through easily. The idea here being that the Force must be used to lift the door open and any Dark Sider using the Force would be like a dinner ringing for the waiting Orbalisk, while a Light Side user would be able to enter without issue.

In keeping with Jedi teachings, the inside of the forge is simple and practical, with a forge in the centre, flanked by a pair of Jedi statues formed from the granite of the cave itself. Its location has been unmarked for so long that it is considered a myth by most.
