Tonight, Crix got a chance to celebrate the next step in his journey - it was summer break from college and he had finally managed to pass his Trials of Knighthood and become a Knight of the Jedi Order. So Crix had decided to do what it was that young people did when they didn't have anything to study for at the moment and he had something to celebrate.

He called up some friends and told them it was time to hit up a beach resort planet and get nice and drunk.

Zeltros was the obvious choice.

Going dressed up as a Jedi was well out though. He might be a Jedi and many of his friends were Jedi but he was also young enough to know that openly wandering around as Jedi would really kill the buzz. Dressing in casual-wear, Crix had left his lightsaber in his ship (all locked up snug as a bug) and headed on down for one of the beach bars he had told the guys to meet up at, the sun just beginning to dip over the horizon so it was nice and pleasantly warm even indoors.

Felt like an age since he'd just relaxed but he was gonna make up for lost time!

Crix will have advised Jedi friends to come in "non-work" attire so please get your threads out!

Willa couldn't remember the last time she had been on a beach; perhaps there was that one time as a fun school-related event, but at the time, she only had her school swimsuit. And she had been, like, 12. When she got the invite from Crix, she accepted almost immediately. Her training had kept her away from most of the other Jedi populace, but she intended to make a splashy comeback.

She had started growing out her hair again. Keeping it free in its' natural curls, she decorated a few with gold beads. Her own lightsaber, and other equipment, were stashed on her ship and locked up, she wanted to impress.

Not Trixsy, though. That ship has sailed, she muttered, mostly to herself on her ship. She pulled the cardigan tighter around herself for a moment... then shook her head.

"To hell with it."

The cardigan sailed carelessly on the pilot's chair, and she simply adjusted her top. With a final critical look in the mirror, she tugged on the sarong skirt around her hips, adjusting, and gave a small smirk of satisfaction. Yeah, that'd do.

She sauntered out of the ship, taking care to lock it up before coming to the beach bar where she saw Crix waiting. As normal, she could feel a little bit of warmth lurch in her chest, immediately battled down out of old habit. As always, he looked good. Honey-brown eyes warmed up as she felt a small smile warm up her features and she strode in, head high.

"Well hey there, stranger, fancy meeting you here."

She was dressed in a
white bikini, the swimsuit vibrant against dark skin, with a filmy gold skirt wrapped around her hips. She leaned against the bar and gave him a playful grin, waggling her brows. "Thanks for the invite, I can't remember the last time I got to chill."

She was curious who else was gonna show; she was glad she went without the cardigan. She felt good, better than she had in a while.

Non-work attire? Jaesa opened the drawer of her dresser and stared blankly at the lack of non-work attire she had. She hadn't quite had the opportunity to acquire "non-work attire" as her go-to in such situations was to ditch the robe and stick with the undershirt. For a beach party, though? It looked like the women would have to scrounge up what credits she had to nab something on the way there.

-----

The woman arrived at the beach party, wearing a black swim suit and a long, black skirt. She was not used to being so uncovered, but her anxiety was eased by the sheer amount of women wearing much less than she was. Her yellow eyes searched the beach for her friend, the newly knighted Crix Aran. Once she spotted him, the Dathomirian headed straight for the zabrak.

"Crix," she would greet him as she made her way over, stopping to stand idly a meter or so away. Her gaze shifted over to Willa, who she acknowledged with a smile. "Feel any different than before?" She asked this of him, referencing his newly knighted status.

Ah that was a voice he would recognized anywhere – and it seemed less tinged with angst so that was progress, right? Absolutely counted as progress.

“I spend a few weeks doing tests and you call me stranger now?!”
he responded with faked bluster as he ordered a second drink he knew that Willa liked from the bar, turning to face her and giving her a look and a raised eyebrow ridge, “Wow Wiz, you dressing to impress someone? Looking fine.”

He slid the drink he’d ordered for her across the bar to her when it arrived, a fruit and bright blue concoction. Taking a drink of his own (which was almost glowing orange at this point), he let out a relaxed sigh as he just leaned against the bar.

“Think we’ve all been missing some chill…”
he admitted with a small sigh, “This is just a good excuse, right?”

Spotting someone else he knew, he grinned when she wandered on over and signaled the bartender to make his way back toward them. He grinned wider when she asked about his Knighthood without actually asking about his Knighthood.

“Oh, you know…”
he wiggled his glass a little bit, “The buzz hasn’t quite died down just yet. Thinking I’m going to go travelling – any recommendations guys?”

Travelling was a cute way of saying he was now allowed to pursue missions on his own.

She grinned at Crix's words, giving him a teasing wink. "Yeah! It's been weeks of comm silence; my device was gathering dust," she replied back sassily, the grin warming. At Jaesa she gave a nod, aware that she was the bottom of the food chain now between the two Knights. The girl was pretty, she couldn't deny; black was a suiting color.

She accepted the drink and took a long draw, chuckling. For a moment, the impulse to flirt came on strong, but she held back, shrugging. Her cheeks flushed a deep red, and she took another sip.

Just how loaded was this drink?

"I might have," came the drawled reply, but then she smiled, shrugging. "But I also wanted to dress down and feel like... the old me, just a little bit." Her smile softened again, and she tilted her drink at him. "Proud of you, though. You more than earned it, Trixsy." She parted her lips to say something else, then paused, and simply sipped from her drink again. For the time being, she was gonna do exactly as she said she was gonna do. She was gonna chill, and see what the night brought.
