Yavin IV was admittedly not Celesté's favorite place to be. The jungle world was hot and humid, the air sticky and prickly against her skin. Though she had been a Jedi most of her life, she still associated more strongly with the cool, temperate climate of her homeworld on Naboo. Were the Consortium not so adverse to Jedi, she might even recommend diplomatic overtures to establish a temple there. Alas, that was just her preference. The Jedi had to work with the resources available to them, and besides, she had a job to do.

One of the many things she had set her mind to upon returning home was to take on an apprentice of her own. Celesté had never gotten an opportunity to teach a student before her Barash, but it is what her Master would have wanted. So, she had applied... and gotten a rather rapid response. She situated herself on a rock outside the main temple palisades, overlooking a steep valley that exploded outward into a sea of trees. Despite the heat, it was peaceful here, with a light breeze cooling her every so often. It was here she had chosen to wait for her new Padawan, Kerribow, she had heard him called. A Wookiee.

She had already given some thought to what kind of teacher she might be. But she quieted them now, focusing only on the present. Any good teacher adapted their style to the student. And she didn't know her student yet. So, that would be the purpose of today's first lessons. Learn more about Kerribow, learn his strengths, learn his weaknesses, and design a course that would raise him into a fine young Jedi Knight from there. @Versok

A young Wookiee would find himself prancing out of the jedi temple, small for a person of his species but tall for pretty much everyone else, it wouldn't be too hard to spot him among the people outside the temple, a jolly Wookiee in a place that gathered force sensitives when his species wasn't really one that had many of those. That being said, he had a destination in mind and a new master to meet so he tried his best to not distract himself with other padawans or that cool bug he had just found on the ground...Well, he did take a look at it for around a minute, but usually he would've spent much more time looking at it!

Of course, many things were on his mind that day. Many thoughts that had plagued his mind ever since he had heard about what had happened to his home planet. It honestly made him quite sad, he thought his species were among the friendliest, more noble ones, everyone liked Wookiees! Why did people always want to hurt them? And would he had been able to help in any way had he been visiting Kashyyyk when the sith arrived? Would he be able to save someone in that situation or would he end up doing what the two incompetent jedi did and screw things up even further? He missed his home world more than ever, now that he knew that it was hurting...

But he had other things to think about today, like the fact that he now had a jedi knight taking him under her wing! To be honest, Kerribow felt...Quite nervous, it was obviously the first time he had a master that would train him and only him, he supposed he was old enough to be the kind of padawan that would be able to explore the galaxy now, which did excite him a bit. However, he had no idea who his new master would be, and while he was excited to meet her in person, he was also quite nervous: What kind of teacher would she be? Would she like him? Kerri hoped she would like him, but he had no clue what adults liked so he simply hoped he wouldn't dissappoint.

Eventually, Kerribow would reach his destination, taking a quick look at the woman in front of him. She was a human, which was certainly not an uncommon sight...But she looked very noble, like some sort of queen or nobility. It was kind of cool in his eyes, but it was also slightly intimidating "Umm, hello!" Kerri growled, his greeting accompanied by a small wave as he put down a backpack he had been carrying, looking back at the jedi knight once more with asmall "It's nice to meet you, I am Kerribow, you are my new master, right?"

Celesté appraised the young Padawan. He was so young. Fourteen was near the beginning of adolescence for most humans, but for a Wookiee, it was practically infancy. If Kerribow lived to die of old age, he could have another two or three centuries left in him. The galaxy would look so different then. And it really highlighted the weight of her responsibility. She would shape a life that could live centuries. It was not a responsibility to take lightly.

She smiled warmly at the Padawan. His Shyriiwook was crisp and guttural. She couldn't make the same sounds, but she could understand him well enough. "I am," she said simply. "My name is Celesté Naberrie. I will be training you for the next couple of years." She hopped down from the rock upon which she had been meditating and gestured for him to accompany her. "Follow me."

She led the two of them down a jungle trail. The path was well worn into the forest from the feet of dozens of Jedi who had traversed it recently. It led to a training complex on the far side of the temple grounds. Celesté was fond of using it to sharpen her own skills. Now, she would use it to sharpen her first apprentice's. "Today," she said as they walked, "we will get to know one another. And as we do, I will learn your strengths and weaknesses. From my findings, I will better understand what sort of training you need in the coming years."

They came to a stop at a fractured stone bridge that crossed a mostly shallow brook cutting a path through the jungle. The fractured bridge was broken just enough that an ordinary jump would not suffice. Here, Celesté stopped them and padded around until she stood off to the side, near the fracture, facing her new Padawan. "So, let us begin. A key element of the relationship between a Master and Padawan is trust. Trust is also a key component of being a Jedi. Trust in your fellow Jedi, yes, but most importantly, trust in the Force." She nodded to the broken bridge. "Make it to the other side of the bridge. Do it however you know best, and trust that I will be here to catch you if you fall." @Versok

Kerribow listened intently as the two of them walked through the jungle trail, the way she explained things this kind of training wasn't too different from the practical classes he had from time to time back at the temple, just a bit more private and with less people to tease when they couldn't get to his level during physical training. This familiar feeling did fill his head with more questions: Did he need to take normal classes now that he had a master? Or would these be considered his classes from now on?...Did he have to keep doing homework? Force knows he would rather not, but Kerri was not naive enough to believe it would only be fun activities such as getting to the other side of the bridge...Speaking of which, how would he do that?

"Trust other jedi, trust the force, got it!" The Wookiee simply said as he approached the edge of their side of the bridge, taking a good look at the fall that would await him if he did end up falling...Well, he would trust that the river he would land on would be deep enough as well. But for now the Wookiee surveyed the situation and his surroundings, it would take him a little bit as he walked around, growling to himself as he did before finally coming up with an idea.

"All right, I am ready!" Kerribow would loudly exclaim before making his way to the wall that was not too far away from the bridge, retractable claws coming from his hands as he did. Why use a broken bridge when there was a perfectly good wall to traverse across instead? Kerribow would begin to climb the wall, slowly but surely getting closer to the other end of the bridge. It would take him a while, getting scared every time a brick he was grabbing gave up and fell deep down but, ultimately, he would end up on the other side of the bridge...Even though he didn't really touch the bridge at all...Did he cheat? Was this cheating? Kerri hoped not.

(11/20 for getting across the bridge)
