A longstanding Wookiee tradition, Life Day celebrates the values and tenets of Wookiee culture, including family, joy, and harmony. While Life Day is a celebration traditionally held at the Tree of Life on Kashyyyk and observed by extended Wookiee families, Wookiees throughout the galaxy still mark the day. When Wookiees were enslaved by the Empire, the holiday took on an even greater significance. People from planets across the galaxy have embraced this tradition and made it their own by celebrating with festive décor, twinkling string lights, unique food and drink items, music, and activities. People share the hopes of celebrating freedom, harmony, and peace, no matter how different people may appear. At the end of the day, everyone gathers to sing songs and be reminded of their dedication, courage, and love for one another. This is the promise of the Tree of Life.

Today was Life Day, one of the biggest holidays of the year. Life Day is the biggest import from the Wookies, it's their biggest holiday and they have shared it with the rest of the galaxy. At the base close to the Tree of Life, the Wookies would be hosting a huge festival. Wookies clad in red robes would be hosting it. There would be food, drinks, music. Basically everything.

Aden Archer would have just arrived to the festivities, wearing a casual outfit. He has never seen Kashyyyk like this before. It's all lit up, there's already non-Wookies here as well. People from all over the galaxy here have gathered. It speaks to the volumes of the holiday.

Now on the scene, Aden would help himself to where the food is. The long journey has left him hungry. And the wookies are known for their big feasts...

[Covax]

Free from his metallic coffin in time for the holiday season. Covax decided to celebrate the galactic holiday by traveling to it's place of origin. The Wookie homeworld.

Arriving in his festive shirt that barely concealing his holdout pistol, the gathering was as expected, large decorations covering the base of the tree of life. A table of food and drinks that looked to be larger than his ship. Walking carpets dotting the area.

The Apex contractor bellied to the table to find an empty bunch bowl. Finding the perfect one near his fellow merc Aden (@The Good Doctor ), the imposing human proceeded to fill the bowl with the ingredients for Mudhorn Eggnog. Then spiked it with a bottle of brandy. When it was done he poured himself a cup and make his way to a warming fire not far from the table.

Having left Kro Var behind many moons to date, Mythos found himself upon a mystical world of gigantic trees and sentient beasts twice his stature welcoming him amongst many others. He had never heard of this life day, but found a compelling voice within his heart to entertain the idea behind his festivities. With Aryanna at his side, her tail wagging along with his own five, both of their ears twitched to beating of drums and gurgled cries coming from the natives of this world. His gaze met hers, and he felt she was enjoying it. Reaching over, he stroked her fur.

"Indeed girl." He spoke, taking a sip of his tea as he sat crossed legged upon the wooden planks that separated them from the forest below. "This world is a strange one. The Magicks of the Force flows strong here, and yet, it's people are weak to it's presence, primitive and yet technological."

As he poured himself another cup of tea, one of the natives sitting next to him reached out a furred hand. He poured another and gave it to the large mammal. "I like them. Necessary out of necessity, they are. They leave little detectable carbon footings, the rest of the world untouched."

As he said this, however, others began to arrive, noticeable beings of sentience that left little to be welcomed in his eyes. One look, and you could tell their ilk carried little for the natural balance. He grimaced. The Wookiees had opened their arms to him, but did they have to with others? One could call what he felt was hate, but disdain was more suitable to describe it. For Mythos was a being of the natural, and he rarely met others than held it in such regard.

Still, he knew this was not his choice, and the invitation he received was welcomed to the others just as it was to him. What little he had come to know of the their Life Day festivities, was meant to celebrate all life, even that of the destructive aspect. Tea, however, wouldn't cut it. He needed something stronger to lessen the tension that grew upon the air.

Aden would smile as his good friend Covax came. What a small galaxy. He knew that Covax was Crymorah boss but he dropped off the face of the galaxy for a period of time. Now it seems that the Vanguard had returned to his roots as a mercenary. Personally Aden couldn't imagine running a large gang filled with less-than-savory types. Must be really exhausting. They are now both with Apex now as Senior Contractors. The spacer imagines it wouldn't before too long they will be on missions together. Isn't Apex now eyeing towards the Corporate Sector?

"Covax, nice to see you again." he smiled and nodded at him. "It's been a long time. Nice to see you with Apex. Nice shirt." he chuckled.

Covax also looks visiibly older than he remembers. "How have you been doing?" a risky question he would ask, but asked nonetheless, as he spiked in brandy into his eggnog. Seems like the usual Covax from before. he would then turn around while sitting as the former Vanguard went over to towards the fire. And then Aden would get himself a Factryn meat pie. A deliacy on Kashyyyk, and something that is fine for humans to eat they say.

[Hauron Solus]

Hauron wore his usual armor but had an added green and red scarf tightly wrapped around his neck and over one shoulder. He had thought about wearing a sweater over his armor but it would have looked goofy and not because of the sweater's design. A few tiny stray strands from the scarf rustled as the wind whipped past the Rally Master. The mandalorian was sitting in one of the passenger seats of a Wookiee Catamaran and was soon to arrive at the base of the Tree of Life.

The vehicle came in gracefully for a landing and before even getting out Hauron thanked the Wookiee pilot for the trip. There were other transports arriving to help bring gifts that he had returned accompanied by mandalorian guards to assure their safe arrival. Wookiee weapons, ceremonial vestments and more were being returned to their rightful owners. Hauron had traveled to Coruscant and recovered these artifacts along with others belonging to his own people. On top of that, the freelancer and he had made it out of the museum like a couple of rich bandits with an armored airspeeder filled to the brim. He did not see it but he had imagined the look on a few of his friend's faces when he told them he had made off with half a ton of goods. (@LadyRen )

While Hauron had come bringing gifts for the Wookiees had had more for his comrades and friends. The badger hoped that @Jace Kryze (@Sreeya ) would be able to make it but knew the handsome hybrid was just as likely kicking the kark out of a bounty somewhere. There were other tidings and treats to distribute. Rancor Squadron had come a long way and Hauron found his he had plenty and felt good sharing sharing with others. The galaxy had rallied against the Queen to defend Kashyyyk and even in the conflicts since then he still felt proud about The Squad's involvement.

The scent of food would lead the armored mikkian to the festivities. He was enamored by the livelihood of his surroundings but stopped when he recognized a familiar face. @Aden Archer would be approached by Hauron who gave a slight wave as he drew within view. "Hey! Happy Life Day, Archer!" His voice made it clear he had a grin on underneath his helmet. "I didn't expect to see you here. This a fellow pilot friend?" His T visor turned to Covax. The contractor looked grizzled but he knew plenty of tough looking guys with hearts of gold. Usually they could be softened at least with a bit of tihaar and Rancor Squadron had been distilling and aging reserves since the last time Aden and Hauron had worked together over Barancar.

[Covax]

"Aden, it sure has." Covax replied giving the a half smile. "I'll remember you said that when you have to have to give me a hot extract." He must.

Covax then took a pull from his cup to taste his concoction. "Mmm, that'll put some hair on ya." He said mostly to himself before looking back to Aden. "You could use some, I look like I've been living off the land in Endor the past few years. You still look like a twenty year old virgin. I hate it." He teased.

Not long after Aden'y retort, Covax would continue to the fire. Missing the opportunity, for the moment, to chat up the closest thing Apex had to a competitor in the Rancor Squad. No disrespect to the mando, the human was just already on his way when Aden had stopped him.

"Yuck, living off the land." he said tongue-in-cheek back to Covax. After all these years, Aden still really isn't fond of non-artificial oxygen. Plus he has grown acustomed to enjoying his new comfortable lifestyle looking at the stars on the Galactica.

Then came Hauron into view. He almost had to do a double take but he recognizes the Mandalorian. Ah yes, Aden remembers flying against the competitor mercenary group at Thule until they went off, and had no qualms going to blows with them. But however, Aden remembered he was flying an unmarked vessel as were the other Apex members involved. So there is no way that Hauron would know Aden or Apex was there.

"Happy Life Day, and good to see you again" he replied back with a smile. He would glance back at Covax and back to the Mandalorian. "Yes, a pilot friend. He is a super good pilot." he said with a crooked smile.

"So Hauron, are you here for food and drink as well? Are you going to show us what is under that helmet?" Aden joked. The Senior Contractor has encountered a few Mandalorians here and there, almost none of them he met seemed inclined to take off their helmet. They are a people who are as mysterious as much as they are warriors.

[Hauron Solus]

Hauron's helmet panned to watch the seasoned contractor leave as Aden returned his greeting. The pilot's following answer did not seem very convincing. But the Mandalorian would not push the subject. He was just being friendly.

He gave a nasally chuckle and shook his head. "Maybe later. I'm here to return some misplaced artifacts mainly but I'll have a look around." Hauron was willing to keep people in suspense about what he actually looked like. He had no intention of taking his helmet off that day in public.

"My clan should be along though I think a lot of them will take their drinks in straws." Liquid induction ports were incredibly useful to keep ones anonymity. Since on the subject of family he decided to get to know the fellow soldier of fortune. "Speaking of family, do you have any?" The follow up question would be implied. Since family was one of the key values of Life Day it seemed appropriate to ask.
