Lexani was born to a Jedi Exile mother in the Outer-Rim. She doesn’t really remember exactly where she’s from, as she moved around a lot in her childhood. All she seems to recall is traveling with her mother, fatherless, constantly on the run from both The Jedi Order and The Republic. Whenever they would stop to resupply, Lexani would always get her hands on holovids of the Jedi fighting their Exile counterparts, Exiles just like her mother. She became scared, fearful of losing her only parent. One day, as was inevitable, those fears caught up to her. As Lexani and her mother made their way back to their ship, having just received the supplies they needed, two men in robes approached men. Lexani remembers only the determined, almost tranquil look they had on their faces, and the smile which the younger of the pair gave her. The two began to ask Lexani’s mother many questions which Lexani did not understand. One thing led to another, and before she knew it her mother began yelling at them, loudly, like the screech of a banshee. The force of her scream pushed Lexani and a few passersby to the floor, leaving her feeling as though her very soul had been shaken. Through her blurred vision she witnessed the men fight her mother wielding swords of fire.

After at least thirty or so minutes the battle was over, and as Lexani sat back up, a metal cylinder- which seemed to have been badly damaged -rolled over to her. It took Lexani a moment to realize the horrible truth; it was her mother’s lightsaber. Nervously, Lexani raised her head ever so slightly, only to see her mother’s outstretched fingers no more than a foot away from the saber’s hilt. Thinking that her mother simply wished for her to return her saber so that she may continue to duel, Lexani pushed the lightsaber back towards her mother’s hand. She can still remember the sound of her mother’s frail chuckle. The fallen Jedi Exile, on the verge of death, then motioned for her daughter to come closer. Lexani looked to the robed men, who were rather beat up themselves, yet for some reason sat in pause instead of finishing her mother off. She nodded and shuffled up to her mother’s side, sitting on her knees as she looked down upon her mother laid upon her back. The Exile raised herself just enough to whisper something in her daughter’s ear before falling back to the ground, finally passing. Lexani held her mother, crying into her chest, begging for her not to go.

Eventually, Lexani had mustered the strength to stand up. She glimpsed at the robed men, and suddenly her grief was replaced with fear. She tried to make a run for it but instantly tripped upon her mother’s damaged lightsaber. Instead of continuing to try and escape, she picked the saber up and clutched it tight against her chest as tears began rolling down her cheeks once more. The two robed men, who she now knows were Jedi, discussed what to do with her. The younger one who had smiled at her earlier attempted to comfort her to no avail. Lexani turned to him as he spoke, yet his hollow words of reassurance sounded like a faint echo. The elder one sighed and took her hand, leading her back to their ship. She didn’t resist, simply allowing herself to be taken by them. The universe felt frozen, and a pain began to eat away at whatever childhood innocence Lexani still had. From that day forth, her life would change completely.

During the following three years after Lexani was “rescued,” as many delicately put it, from her Exile mother, she was integrated into The Republic upon Teyr. Schooling proved difficult for the fifteen year old young woman, as everything seemed slow and below what she was capable of, a result of her mother’s past efforts to ensure that she studied an advanced curriculum, beyond that which the majority of her peers were capable of. As a result of her independent studying and general fear of her crowded surroundings, she quickly became isolated from her classmates. The girls shunned her, sometimes humiliating her for cruel kicks, while the boys only wanted to “try out” the exotic Zeltron in their class. After her second transfer she ended up with a wealthy family of aristocrats who took her in with open arms. Through their encouragement she grew and improved her social skills, finding herself oddly popular with her newest classmates over time. Although something inside her still felt off-putting, Lexani knew she’d be fine.

As Lexani approached adulthood many careers became available to her. For a while, she had considered a path in the military as a strategic officer, but decided against that in the end. Ultimately, she pursued a trade consultant career, acting on behalf of numerous worlds in the Outer-Rim to negotiate mineral prices and mining rights with corporations, as well as trade agreements with local merchant-groups. Overall, things were fairly mundane, that is, until the rise of The Sith Empire. With war there always comes a halt in trade, which meant that Lexani's services weren't in demand, and she knew it would likely stay that way for some time. Something inside her snapped, she had to do something, anything to contribute to the war effort. She couldn't simply stand by and watch such Galaxy-changing events unfold before her very eyes, powerless to defend her own livelihood. Though, she was admittedly not too fond of the idea of joining the military. Instead, she decided to make a difference outside of battle, through politics.

After having grown up on Teyr for the entirety of her young adulthood, surrounded by rich trade and aristocrats on vacation- who made easy acquaintances and potential business partners -, all things considered, it seemed rather natural for her to become involved in such a profession. With the help of her previously mentioned former foster-parents, whom are wealthy, rather influential, and had adopted Lexani after her sixteenth birthday, she was able to win the senate seat of her "homeworld" of Teyr practically uncontested. The validity of the appointment was indeed questionable, however, while the planet’s government was busy dealing with the war causing a sudden drop in tourism- a primary industry of the planet -, Lexani was able to slip past the scrutiny of the local bureaucrats. Besides, Lexani was convinced that they wouldn’t mind anyway, as she seems to be ideal to represent such a world. Though, she did feel some amount of regret for gaining her title through such dishonorable methods.

However, in such times of doubt, Lexani tells herself the final words of her beloved birth-mother, "Remember, Lele, darling, do what you must to survive...do what you know is right.”

Personality
Lexani’s personality is very flirtatious and sociable. She tends to find humor in things which many consider taboo, ie. losses and deaths, causing her to often come off as though she lacks much empathy, as well as sparking many debates over whether one who haphazardly throws around politically damning statements should be given any influence whatsoever. Though, she seems well aware of this “flaw,” and despite her insistence that such comedy shouldn’t be that big of a deal, makes up for it by distracting others with kind, honeyed words; often times being able to recite statistics and such with utter brutality, or perhaps make light of a supposed tragedy, all the while wearing a soft-hearted smile which still manages to ease those listening. This is done in a somewhat desperate attempt to ensure that others’ opinion of her doesn’t worsen. Her tendency to do such is a reflection of her need to be accepted, and to make others see her as worthwhile. However, as a simultaneous contradiction of such goals, she also feels as though she must keep others at a distance; a result of her past social anxiety and general paranoia. Her combined self-protective nature and need to make others value her is commonly misinterpreted as shallowness, and to a certain degree, cold manipulation. Which, all things considered, isn’t entirely inaccurate.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Attributes
She’s athletic and can keep up with the average soldier, but due to her lack of training, can’t seem to effectively use the Force to improve her agility nor her physical strength, making combat against most proficient Force-users rather difficult. Furthermore, she tends to overthink things, often leading her to second-guess her actions in battle, effectively making her more of a burden in a front-lines fight. However, she makes up for this with an exceptional intellect and strategic prowess, coupled with raw charisma. Though, she can become overconfident in her ability to predict and prepare for normally unforeseen circumstances, causing her to act in a conceited manner whenever she gets carried away. Another result of Lexani’s occasional brashness is her tendency to take unnecessary risks, usually in the pursuit to gain more from her victories in order to exceed the expectations placed on her, which of course leads to both good and bad outcomes. Lastly, she tends to be very narcissistic regarding her appearance, which many have said to be unbefitting of a senator such as herself.

Hey there,

Just a couple things. Force Sensitive characters are not allowed to use armor that has working functions attached to them. You can either note that the armor contains no working fictions or choose a piece of armor that doesn't have fictions. Secondly, I just wanted it noted that if you plan on fixing her mother's lightsaber this will require a plot to be submitted.

  • Seeing as how I don't expect to get in too many fights, I think I can afford to lose the armor for now. Later on I might create a piece of generic tech or something.
  • Regarding the lightsaber, I don't plan on restoring it in the foreseeable future. However, if I do ever wish to, I'll be sure to consult you guys before doing anything of course.
