Why? If she's no longer friends with his ex and Matt himself isn't on friendly/speaking terms with the ex (what I've gleaned from his posts, anyway) then there's no risk of ****ing up a) her friendship with his ex or b) his friendship with his ex. If his motivation for bumping ugglies was purely to get back at his ex I'd say don't do it, but I have a feeling his motivations are much more straightforward. IE \/

I'm a twenty-one year old divorced soldier in the U.S. Army who watch his father go through the most recent of his last divorces when I 7 or so and who also happens to be happily in love with my ex-wife, though we do not speak thanks to some stupid stuff that occurred in my unit.

My marriage was one of two relationships I really had with anyone (the other NOT being a marriage), and though I am quite bitter in many ways about relationships I have come to find that love is not simply some term that someone made up. It's a conscious choice we make to not just shower someone with monetary items, is more than reproducing, and is far more than simply providing basic necessities. Love is an active choice, a life style, and one that can bring two people closer to each other than they ever imagined, if only they did it right. It does not take two for love to flourish, it only takes two for a loving relationship.

I have also found the bit about which gender fakes what, does this wrong or that wrong, does this right or that right is a bunch of absolute bunk. It's not about gender or race. It's about personality. Men and women are equally pains; but the individual has the responsibility to work through whatever their issues are.

Dating? Dating used to be when people went out on dates, they went and spent time together (typically with friends). What was, in my father's time, called "going steady" had been our dating now but for so many "dating" has become dinner and a sexual encounter. Not all. There are still many who date in a less frivolous manner, but from my perception most call a quick orgasm every couple of days (or more) "dating".

Anyways, we may be driven by our nature as mortal beings to reproduce, but love comes as choice, just as much a choice as compassion and charity.

Everything in this thread has most definitely stayed PG-13...

Also, we haven't been abusive to any of the members of SWRP in this thread. We're being passive-aggressively abusive to Matt's ex. To that, I say bros before hoes.

The report post button is there for a reason. Also, simply because you read something offensive, doesn't equate to someone breaking the forum rule. If that's your issue, my advice is to stay out of the OOC boards, because well, this is SWRP and you're bound to read many offensive (but not necessarily wrong) posts.

With that said, let's move on to the topic at hand folks.
