No, in fact I am less of a Miami Heat fan.

I loved Dwayne Wade, and living in Ontario, I loved Chris Bosh too. I despise LeBron James, he is everything that is wrong with basketball. He is only considered great because he is so much more athletic than everybody else in the league. In terms of basketball skill, Kobe Bryant and Dwayne Wade are both far superior players.

The team itself is made up of Wade, Bosh, LeBron, Michael Beasley and Mario Chalmers. Compare that to the Lakers team of Fisher, Bryant, Odom, Gasol, Bynum, Artest, Brown, Blake and they are apparently picking up Mike Miller. Even Orlando or Oklahoma City or Portland or Boston. All of these teams right now have better TEAMS than Miami made up of those 3 stars.

Don't get me wrong, they are a great team now. I just don't think they'll win yet.

It was a joke, I am a devout New Orleans Hornets fan, but I still admire LeBron. I agree, Kobe is still a way better player than LeBron, IMPO.

But I will be watching the Heat more often, as well as the Lakers. I supported them till the end against the Celtics.

Here is what Cav's owner Dan Gilbert had to say.

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Just watch.

Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue....

Dan Gilbert
Majority Owner
Cleveland Cavaliers

He is the only player that got his own hour long special to announce where he is going, and he can't even be considered the best until he wins a championship. I can't believe he is so egotistical that he would go on national t.v. to backstab his home town.

Go celtics! They have the REAL big 3!

Basketball's the second most played sport in the world behind soccer. So, people do care.

Accualy I think it is like this:

football
american football
hockey
ice hockey
basketball.

only top 2/3 of that list are real attention seekers in the rest of the world but the others not so much at all.

There is no chance in hell. Nobody outside of North America plays American football. Here is the actual list

1. Soccer (association football, also known as futbol in various Spanish-speaking countries)
2. Cricket
3. Rugby
4. Field Hockey
T5: Baseball
T5: Basketball

2-4 are extremely surprising to me, but still. I overestimated a little, not thinking that anybody gave a damn about cricket, rugby or field hockey.

No it isn't, by a long way.

Cricket doesn't surprise me because India's biggest sport is.......

btw Wing, are you a professional idiot?

The company went into administration on 1 April 2010, and the company ceased to trade as from this date

American football doing well in the UK, for sure.

Lol, love how he said the Cavs would win a title before LeBron does, no way.

He didn't turn his back on his state, anyone who watched it could tell he nearly teared up. He tried to get Bosh to come to Cleveland, and if he had, he'd still be there. He was selfish in the aspect that he left to win, not stay with a losing organization.

Canada has a football league.

That is Canadian football, not American football. Two different sports, my friend.

I am commend and condemn LeBron for this, but he is doing what he wants to advance his career. The Miami Heat will take him places, and a trio with him, Bosh, and Wade will be unstoppable.

He'll never win another MVP now and likewise will never be mentioned in the same breath as Michael Jordan.

Indeed, he will be shadowed with Bosh and Wade.

That is why I am so glad Chris Paul stayed with the Hornets here in New Orleans. I am a die hard Hornets fan and Chris Paul is the best point guard in the NBA. If he went to Heat (he had thought about it since him and LeBron are close friends) he would just blend into a team of all all-stars and not stick out.
